Above The Sky-Chapter 1819 - 365: Capturing the Fourth Energy Level (Short - )
Ian truly didn’t expect that even after reaching the New Continent, he would encounter the Fiery Flame Land.
The Crystal Dragon’s body is undergoing transformation, occupying most of Ian’s computational power within the New Continent, yet Ian still manages to separate a part of his soul located in Terra to explore the situation of the New Continent in the form of pure consciousness.
It is not about moving in the physical world, but relying on the ’Subspace Network’ connected at the core of the Dark Cloud Mountain Range.
As the storage area and transport pipeline inside the Skyfall Spaceship, the Subspace Network has spread throughout the entire New Continent over the past millennium as it took shape there. The various peculiar Subspace Labyrinths and rare Domain of Void Spirit Substance mineral veins within the New Continent are all influences of the network on reality.
During the time when the Glazed-Glass Dragon’s body was cocooned in slumber, Ian’s spirit roamed through the entire New Continent. By now, he is well-acquainted with the distribution of the ecosystem, mineral veins, and power structures of the New Continent, to an extent that even the Magical Beasts and Far Shore Islanders who have lived here for over a thousand years don’t understand this land as well as he does.
Whether it’s Yulan’s schemes or the Beastmasters’ plans within their lairs, none can escape Ian’s eyes. He senses them clearly.
This is the confidence given to Ian by the Rites of the Star Gods! 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
However, even with the authority of the Rites of the Star Gods, Ian still cannot uncover certain areas.
That is the blank area located at the core of the New Continent’s Subspace Network.
This blank area symbolizes that particular subspace existing independently of the network, situated at the deepest part of the Domain of Void, even a Fifth Energy Level would struggle to find it without relevant secret commands.
In a certain sense, it’s similar to the Star God’s safety deposit box.
This hidden blank space, whether it’s used to preserve a Stasis Field for Spark or conceals some special artifact like clues to a Perpetual Motion Machine, remains unknown.
Even Ian cannot approach; any closer, and a gentle force will push him back.
The feeling is akin to the attitude of ’Children, don’t approach such dangerous secrets’.
After all, the Rites of the Star Gods are merely the Rites of the Star Gods, not the Star Gods themselves; it’s quite normal for dangerous areas to be locked away from minors for protection purposes.
To this, Ian feels some regret but doesn’t really mind.
Because when the crucial time comes, a minor is still a minor, but at least the authority is stronger than that of an embryo or pet.
And Ian suspects that this blank at the core of the Subspace Network corresponds precisely to the Crystal Sanctuary at the center of the New Continent—the place where the ’Pre-Era Civilization Stairway’ and the ’Remains of Skyfall Spaceship’ are located!
All these things complement each other: the massive destruction caused by the Skyfall Spaceship debris drew the Stairway towards this place, and the convergence of the Stairway influenced Terra Planet’s tectonic movement, thereby creating this New Continent with the sanctuary as its core.
As Ian once again arrived at the ’Blank Space’, he sensed subspace tremors.
An indescribable force spread throughout the entire Subspace Network, majestic and heavy like a mountain, yet vast and stable like the sea, inviolable in its dignity.
It felt like the whole earth and ocean had come alive, opening ancient and tranquil eyes to scrutinize all living beings on the New Continent.
[Is it about to begin?]
Always waiting, Ian’s spirit stirred slightly and left the subspace, entering the real world.
The hazy spiritual body gazed from afar at Dawn Harbor on the edge of the New Continent, where an army was marching grandly forward.
Recently, after the large fleet from Far Shore Island reached the New Continent, they did not immediately take action but instead prepared supplies, established positions, reinforced harbor defenses, and built roads leading to the center of the continent.
They even transformed their warships into stacked forms, turning the entire Dawn Harbor into a super-sized steel fortress—a huge steel peninsula extending from the New Continent.
And at the center of this steel peninsula stands a towering spire, thousands of meters high, its pinnacle glowing with azure light.
This is a trace of the Azure Star’s divine might; although Gride cannot come in person, she has sent a portion of her power as a trump card to protect the only stronghold of Far Shore Island on the New Continent, which is another trump card besides Yulan’s alliance with Yan Sea.
Far Shore Island has made the decision to go all in to develop the New Continent, hence they did not act hastily, but started operations only after making all necessary preparations.
At the same time, not only Far Shore Island but also the Three Great Beast Nations on the New Continent have each dispatched their forces, heading towards the center of the New Continent from different directions.
During this time, leveraging the ubiquitous observation capabilities of the Subspace Network, Ian has also figured out why other Fourth Level Magical Beasts choose to sleep, while Phantom Sun and Yan Sea can establish Beast Nations instead.
It’s because the leaders of these Beast Nations possess part of the authority of the Skyfall Spaceship.
Perhaps keys left in the spaceship were obtained by these Magical Beasts, or perhaps they have indeed inherited some of Heavenfall’s legacy and found ways to activate parts of the spaceship’s facilities themselves.
In any case, while other Fourth Level Magical Beasts can only choose to sleep, paying the price of disconnecting from their Spark upon awakening, they can freely connect with their Spark, choosing whether to sleep or awaken.
However, the authority held by the Beast Nations is fragmented and not highly effective. If these three were unified, perhaps they could, like Ian, use the Subspace Network to observe the entire New Continent.
