Affinity: Chaos-Chapter 1564 Having Dinner In The Lyttelton Manor
"Dad." Martha stood up.
"Wouldn't you want to see what he's truly capable of as well?" Grey's grandfather didn't budge and looked at Harvey and Gary, he wasn't disappointed at them.
"Call over Donna." He told Lucy.
Lucy went out and a few minutes later, she came back with another young lady. This young lady stepped into the arena the second she got there. She had already been briefed by Lucy so she knew she had to battle with Grey.
"Hi, I'm Donna." She said while getting in an attacking positive.
"Grey." Grey responded as he prepared to battle with a Second stage Sovereign.
Donna attacked the second the battle started. She was explosive, just like her flames.
Grey entered the defensive, blocking all the attacks coming his way from Donna. Donna didn't hold back as she attacked aggressively.
After blocking to a certain extent, Grey attacked. His attacks were powerful, but Donna wasn't a First stage Sovereign like the rest he had been fighting, their attack power was around the same level with Donna having a slight edge.
Donna didn't back down as she continued her series of assaults. She fought almost like Alice who was always on the offensive. Alice didn't like backing down even when she is weaker than her opponent, and especially when she's on the same level as her opponent.
Grey took on Donna's attacks very calmly, not panicking by the continuous attacks. He dodged the ones he could, and blocked the ones he couldn't dodge. His battle style was different from when he was fighting the others. With the others, he knew he had a higher attack power, but with Donna, he had to use his superior speed and defense while also striking when it mattered.
An inscription appeared in the sky, and this one was bigger than the one he used against Gary, and was stronger.
A fusion orb was tossed at Donna who retaliated by creating a fire bird that struck the fusion orb.
The fusion orb was created with three elements, but the attack power has scaled over Donna's attack power. The second both strikes collided, a powerful explosion followed.
While the impact of the attack forced the duo to both take a step back, Grey vanished as soon as he leg hit the ground. Donna, on the other hand, was struck by an attack from the inscription.
She blocked the attack since there was no way to dodge it. However, she felt her feet get grabbed by something as she blocked the attack. Looking down, it was a water made tentacle that grabbed her. She tried to use her fire element to cut it, but she was dragged. Not just that, but she felt her body fall to the ground by a powerful force.
This was Grey using not just the water tentacle, but also using his earth domain's gravitational force field.
With Donna lying on the ground facing the sky, she saw three different attacks coming at her and she gave a soft laugh before shaking her head. She has lost against a First stage Sovereign who hadn't broken through more than three months or so.
Grey stopped the attacks before they got to her since she didn't try to block them.
"You win." Donna stood up and said, she then looked at Grey and added, "Don't pull ladies down like that, it's not nice."
After making this statement, she walked to the side, joining the others who had been defeated.
"Can I see that multicolored orb you used again?" Grey's grandfather asked.
Grey nodded and created a three colored fusion orb.
"Amazing, three elements coexisting in the same orb without exploding." Grey's grandfather was amazed by this, "How were you able to achieve something like this?"
"A secret." Grey replied.
"Fair." Grey's grandfather nodded, everyone has secrets, and since Grey didn't want to share, it was acceptable.
"Have you ever battled multiple Second stage Sovereigns?" He asked, leaving aside the matter of the fusion orb.
Grey nodded, not just him, even his friends had done that while they were handling some of the Gnome hideouts. On a few occasions, they were outnumbered three to one and still managed to come out even when they had the lower cultivation stage.
"Amazing." Grey's grandfather was genuinely blown off his feet by Grey. As much as he would want to see that, he knew making Grey fight repeatedly isn't a good look for him since it makes him look like someone who enjoys this.
If he knew what Grey got the first time he was introduced to his grandfather in the Dawson Family, he would've already thrown seven to eight Third stage Sovereigns Grey's way.
The Dawson Family sent Grey into a battlefield and made him battle multiple people on the same level who were willing to kill him. A spar is very different from a life and death battlefield.
"We should have dinner together." Grey's grandmother suggested.
"My friends are waiting for me, I have to go back to them." Grey declined the offer.
"You can call them over, I'd like to see them as well." Grey's grandfather said.
With no other choice, Grey went out to call the trio who were hanging outside the City.
And just like Grey's grandfather made Grey fight others, he made the other three do the same. And he realized that Grey was right, they could also battle multiple people on the same stage as them, and even fight with those on a higher stage. The fact that all four of them were friends was shocking.
One has to know that the people they were battling were widely regarded as prodigies, yet they were able to beat them so easily without breaking a sweat.
Grey's grandfather didn't think there has ever been a case of more than one monstrous talent appearing before. Each of the four could be called a one in a million years talent, yet four appeared simultaneously and are actually friends.
Grey enjoyed his short time with his grandparents, but he didn't have any plans of staying, after dinner, the group left.
