After Descending the Mountain, Seven Big Brothers Spoil Me-Chapter 1017: Doesn’t It Hurt?
Upon hearing this, Lei Chong was about to continue playing the victim when the teacher entered the classroom. Zhouzhou immediately shot him a sharp look. "No talking, pay attention to class."
With that, she opened her textbook, sat up straight with perfect posture, and became the image of a well-behaved, attentive student.
Lei Chong couldn’t help but think to himself, What’s with all this pretending? His mom always said, "People with strong bodies tend to have simpler minds," and Zhouzhou, with her violent tendencies, must surely be bad at studying.
Just then, the teacher called Zhouzhou to the front to answer a question. The teacher hadn’t seen Zhouzhou in a while and was delighted to have her back. Her way of expressing that happiness was by calling Zhouzhou to the front.
Lei Chong couldn’t wait to see her embarrass herself, but when Zhouzhou opened her mouth, her answer was flawless. The teacher couldn’t stop nodding in approval. "Well done! I thought you’d fallen behind after being absent for so long, but it looks like you haven’t missed a thing."
Lei Chong’s face darkened. He had been waiting for her to fail, but instead, she had nailed the answer. It was frustrating.
At lunchtime, Lei Chong was so upset he hardly ate anything. After lunch, the teacher led them to the nap room. When Li Yu’an went to the bathroom, Lei Chong saw an opportunity and silently followed him.
This kid looks pretty dumb, he should be easy to manipulate. Lei Chong thought to himself.
He smiled slyly and spoke up, "What’s your name?"
Li Yu’an glanced at him and answered, "Li Yu’an."
"I’m Lei Chong. Can we be friends?" Lei Chong asked.
Li Yu’an casually nodded in agreement.
Lei Chong continued talking, trying to make the most of the situation. He even invited Li Yu’an to play games. Since no one in class wanted to play with Li Yu’an, it made him happy to have company.
Once Lei Chong felt like their relationship had warmed up, he continued, "What do you think of Zhouzhou?"
Without a second thought, Li Yu’an answered, "She’s fierce!"
Too fierce! He still remembered how scared he was when she hit him. She was so good at pretending, even better than his grandma when it came to playing tricks. It was so scary.
Lei Chong’s eyes lit up with satisfaction. This kid had a grudge against Zhouzhou. If he could get him on his side, he could easily use him to get back at her—whether by sabotaging her or threatening her with his life.
His grandfather had always said that people from prestigious families were too soft-hearted. If he could just capture a hostage, he could get them to back down.
I’ll get my revenge, just wait!
At that moment, Lei Chong was interrupted by a loud slap across his back. He winced in pain but kept quiet, not wanting Li Yu’an to know.
He continued, "Has she ever bullied you?"
Li Yu’an nodded.
Perfect!
Lei Chong pushed further, "Don’t you want to get back at her?"
Li Yu’an seemed intrigued. "How?"
Lei Chong leaned in closer and whispered to him, "Well, we can..."
As he spoke, each sentence was met with another slap to his back. He gritted his teeth, enduring the pain. Endure the pain, Grandfather said this is how you rise above others. Once I get out of here, I’ll deal with Zhouzhou for good. I’ll make her beg me for mercy, and break every bone in her hand.
His hand instinctively touched the spot on his hand where Zhouzhou had used chopsticks to jab through it. Even now, the pain lingered. Every time he thought about it, anger bubbled up inside him.
He continued badmouthing Zhouzhou, and seeing that Li Yu’an was listening intently, he grew even bolder, describing how he would catch snakes to bite her.
Suddenly, another slap hit him harder than before.
Li Yu’an glanced at him and said, "Can I say something?"
Lei Chong, his throat dry from all the talking, immediately replied, "Go ahead, do you have a better idea?"
Li Yu’an shook his head. "No, I just want to ask, doesn’t it hurt?"
Lei Chong fell silent for a moment, and then, with great difficulty, he forced a smile. "What did you say? I didn’t hear you."
Li Yu’an pointed at his back. "Here. Don’t you feel the slaps?"
Lei Chong’s eyes widened in disbelief. "How do you know?"
He’d checked himself in the mirror earlier and hadn’t seen a single mark. No one had touched him there. How could Li Yu’an possibly know?
Li Yu’an answered honestly, "Because I’ve been slapped before too."
Upon hearing this, Lei Chong’s eyes immediately lit up. "Is it because Zhouzhou stuck a talisman on you, and then it happened?"
"Yeah." Li Yu’an nodded.
Lei Chong clutched his chest, growing even more excited. "So, you don’t get slapped anymore?"
"Nope."
Instantly, Lei Chong’s eyes gleamed with joy. "How did you do it? Who helped you?"
At the mention of this, Li Yu’an proudly lifted his chin and pointed to himself. "No one! I did it all by myself!"
Seeing that Lei Chong was eager to know, he continued, "As long as I’m good to my sister and don’t bully her, I won’t get hit anymore."
"Now, I’m totally a sis-con. I don’t let my sister do any chores, I give her water when she’s thirsty, I massage her shoulders when she’s tired, and if anyone bullies her, I’m the first to rush over and protect her. I haven’t been hit for a long time!"

He had become a good kid all on his own!
So proud!
And he thought his sister was pretty great too. Ever since he stopped being a troublemaker, his sister was always willing to play with him. The two of them were so happy together.
This was all thanks to Zhouzhou.
After hearing everything, Lei Chong couldn’t help but twitch the corner of his mouth and sneer.
He had thought Li Yu’an had some great method, but it turned out he was just being a doormat.
He definitely wouldn’t give in.
Wasn’t she just trying to make him obedient by hitting him? No way!
She had grabbed his mom and grandpa. He wasn’t going to let her off!
If she thought he would listen to her, ha, no way!
At this thought, his expression twisted a little.
Li Yu’an looked at him but didn’t say anything, just shaking his head.
He had thought the same way before, but then...
Suddenly, he turned and ran outside.
Seeing this, Lei Chong instinctively asked, "Where are you going?"
"I’m going to see my sister." Li Yu’an said happily, running quickly like a little bird, throwing his arms around Li Yuxin, and eagerly asking, "Sister, do you miss me?"
As he spoke, he pulled out the candy from his pocket and handed it to Li Yuxin, his little "tail" wagging behind him.
Lei Chong, trailing behind: "......"
What a doormat!
He absolutely, definitely would never end up like this!
