After Having a Dream, I Became Pregnant with a Billionaire's Child-Chapter 119 - 116 Plum Divine Needle
Chapter 119: Chapter 116 Plum Divine Needle
Charles Pond was just about to describe his relationship with Amelia Willow when a couple walked into the small clinic with an elderly person.
The elder was still grumbling,
"Hey, I’ve told you already, the only thing that can treat your mother’s condition is the Plum Divine Needle, I have no other means."
The elder was well beyond his seventies, with white hair and beard, emanating somewhat the aura of a transcendent hermit.
Upon seeing the newcomers, Charles Pond acted as if he had found a life-saving straw, and he hurried over, respectfully saying,
"Master Lowe, it’s good that you’ve come. Please take a look at my grandma.
Don’t let this quack deceive her."
The gentleman before them was a famous national-level divine doctor within the country.
He was nearing eighty and had long since stopped seeing patients. He would absolutely not have come out of retirement if it weren’t for the sudden disappearance of Grandma Pond and the Pond Family’s urgent request, coupled with his longstanding friendship with Old Lady Pond.
Charles Pond, seeing his grandmother taken for a ride by Emily Parker and even saying she would return for more treatments from Parker, was frantically anxious. If his grandmother wouldn’t listen to him, she should at least listen to what Master Lowe had to say.
Upon hearing this, Master Lowe also showed a grave expression and approached Old Lady Pond.
Old Lady Pond greeted him cheerfully,
"Old Liu, we haven’t seen each other for quite a few years, have we?"
Master Lowe and the Pond Family couple were taken aback.
The Pond Family couple was even more excited,
"Mom, do you recognize people now?"
Old Lady Pond had been muddled before, not to mention recognizing Old Liu, sometimes she couldn’t even recognize her own sons and daughters.
Master Lowe immediately took Old Lady Pond’s pulse and then asked her some questions, to which she responded fluently; she hardly seemed like someone who had suffered from moderate dementia.
"How miraculous.
Was it really this one who gave you acupuncture?"
Master Lowe glanced at Emily Parker, but looking at Parker, she seemed to be only in her twenties.
Master Lowe inwardly shook his head; it couldn’t be possible. The one who knew the Plum Divine Needle must be well over forty.
"There’s nothing wrong with Old Lady Pond’s body.
But young doctor, in the future, do not give acupuncture carelessly, especially head acupuncture. A slight mistake could cause more harm than good."
After examining Old Lady Pond and finding no significant issues, Master Lowe also gave Emily Parker a lecture, to which Parker just smiled and didn’t say anything.
In the end, the Pond Family couple left a substantial fee for the consultation, and Parker didn’t stand on ceremony, accepting it directly.
The next morning, Charles Pond and Amelia Willow came to class together.
Amelia Willow said with concern,
"Charles Pond, is your grandmother alright?
It’s all my fault. I should not have taken her to that small clinic. If anything had happened to her, I really wouldn’t know what to do."
Charles Pond replied with a smile,
"There were no major issues. That Emily Parker was quite lucky. She haphazardly gave acupuncture and actually managed to snap my grandmother out of it.
However, Grandma still needs to be observed for a while. If I find out that she has been harmed by her acupuncture, I’ll definitely sue her and send her to prison."
Charles Pond was speaking when he suddenly froze, staring in surprise at the small clinic across the street.
At that moment, the small clinic had not yet opened.
"Grandma?"
Then he saw a large group of people standing at the entrance of the clinic, clearly led by Old Lady Pond, followed by a crowd of elderly men and women.
Old Lady Pond, pointing at the small clinic in front of her, exclaimed loudly,
"It’s here.
Divine Doctor Clark’s medical skills are exceptional. Just yesterday, after she gave me an acupuncture, I felt sharp hearing and clear vision, even my hearing loss is gone."
"Is it really that miraculous?"
"Then I must try it. At my age, my hearing is quite bad."
"And me, recently I don’t know what’s wrong, but I’ve been having severe headaches and can’t sleep, even sleeping pills don’t help."
The elders were all wearing hospital gowns, like Old Lady Pond, clearly patients from a nearby upscale nursing home.
Given that they were staying in the same nursing home as Old Lady Pond, one could guess the identities of these elders – they were certainly not ordinary people.
Apart from some well-known wealthy individuals in Capital, many were either retired or former senior officials.
At their age, status and power were no longer important; their health was paramount.
Yesterday, upon hearing from Old Lady Pond that there was such a capable divine doctor nearby, the elders couldn’t hold back their excitement and all rushed over, forming a long queue at the door.
"Grandma is too muddled. That woman gave her a few pricks with the needle yesterday and charged our family a hundred thousand.
I’ve said it, she’s a swindler, but grandma just wouldn’t believe it.
This won’t do, I’m going to call the police and report this swindler."
"A hundred thousand?"
Amelia Willow was shocked to hear about Parker’s charges, her mouth agape.
Wasn’t Emily Parker making only a few thousand at People’s Hospital?
Now she’s charging one hundred thousand just for one treatment?
Seeing Charles Pond was about to call the police, Amelia Willow quickly pulled him back.
"Charles Pond, I know you care about your grandma, but false reporting can lead to administrative detention.
Also, Emily Parker does have some medical knowledge; we don’t have any proof that she’s scamming people."
Amelia Willow pondered.
"What should we do then? Just let her continue to deceive those old people?"
Charles Pond thought of this and was fuming with rage.
"I do have a plan."
Amelia Willow thought for a moment, then whispered a few words into Charles Pond’s ear.
