Chen Feng was slightly taken aback but then laughed, "You really plan to say it, huh?"

"Yeah. Isn't it just that? Besides, between you and me, there's no need for secrets, right?"

By the end of her sentence, Yu Xiaohui looked at him with a hint of spring in her eyes.

Of course, Chen Feng felt her gaze but wasn't embarrassed or uncomfortable. After all, they had once been completely open with each other, and now there were only the two of them in the car.

"Alright then. You start with your husband's affairs. I'm quite curious—he has such a beautiful wife like you, and two kids, yet why is he still not satisfied?"

Chen Feng didn't feel embarrassed at all and asked directly.

Yu Xiaohui didn't play coy and said directly, "Isn't it like they say, men turn bad when they have money? You men are all like this. You're wealthy now, but even if you get married and have kids in the future, can you guarantee you won't mess around with other women?"

Before, Chen Feng could have guaranteed it because he wasn't rich, but now he couldn't quite make that promise unless he was lying.

Seeing Chen Feng's silence, Yu Xiaohui didn't mind and continued, "In the first two years of our marriage, he wasn't very rich, and life was relatively loving. But as he got wealthier, of course, his heart began to wander. At first, he just wanted to cozy up to superiors or business partners, playing around in KTVs, occasionally hiring a call girl for the night, which I tolerated.

But later on, his escapades became more extravagant; he outright kept young and beautiful women. When I discovered this and confronted him with evidence, he couldn't argue back. Instead, he claimed shamelessly that keeping a mistress was standard among rich people he knew. To fit in and do business well, he had to follow the crowd; otherwise, the business couldn't go on.

I mean, what kind of bullshit logic is that— you have to keep a mistress to succeed in business? I didn't buy it at all, so I started the cold war with him and even suggested divorce, but he refused, dragging things out without formalizing the split.

Later, he went even further, developing a liking for good housewives, often seducing other men's wives. Eventually, that was his downfall. Well, I've said my piece. Now it's your turn—tell me about your ex-wife and how you ended up divorced?"

Chen Feng didn't dodge and said, "We fell in love freely. During our initial years, our relationship was quite good, but after marriage, things changed. Especially after I faced setbacks at work and we had to worry about daily expenses. Mainly, I couldn't offer her hope of becoming wealthy. She became disappointed in me, and as she lost faith, I too became disappointed, feeling she didn't understand or support me. Our relationship wore down with each quarrel and cold shoulder until I couldn't take it and filed for divorce. She agreed without hesitation."

"What a pity," Yu Xiaohui sincerely commented, "If only you were as rich back then as you are now, you two might still be very much in love."

Chen Feng smirked sarcastically, "Who knows?"

"Judging by your ex-wife, she seems to regret it now and wants to remarry you, right?" Yu Xiaohui asked casually.

Chen Feng didn't hide it, "Yeah, there was quite a fuss over it. She was desperate to remarry me, but I refused."

"Why refuse? She's beautiful and regrets it. Especially since you two fell in love freely back then, there's a foundation of feelings," Yu Xiaohui feigned puzzlement.

Chen Feng laughed, "The foundation is there, but the building has already collapsed. To rebuild, you'd need to clear the ruins first; there might even be a big pit in the foundation. It might collapse again. It's better to find new ground, lay a solid foundation, and build a higher, more magnificent building."

Yu Xiaohui chuckled, "Your metaphor is quite novel and makes sense."

"Thank you for the compliment."

Indeed, there weren't many emotional secrets between them, and with just the two of them, both divorced, they spoke freely and enjoyed the conversation.

Unconsciously, they drove back to Red Villa Bay. As they neared Yu Xiaohui's villa, she said, "Going home alone is no fun, why don't I visit your place for a bit? I also want to see the begonia flowers in your yard. I saw them in Mengting's Moments last time, and they looked beautiful."

The yard of No. 8 Villa had many plants, including several begonia trees near a section of the wall. It was the season when the begonia flowers and fruits were on the same branch. Chen Feng didn't usually notice these, but Mengting had mentioned it to him during dinner a couple of days ago.

So, Chen Feng didn't say much. Within seconds, they drove past Yu Xiaohui's villa and reached the front of No. 8 Villa.

A couple of minutes later, they got out of the car and went to the begonia trees together.

Yu Xiaohui took several photos in one go and then dragged Chen Feng to take pictures with the begonia trees as the background.

She naturally rested her head lightly on Chen Feng's shoulder, her body leaning against him.

Not satisfied with the first photo, she continued pulling Chen Feng for more shots.

Even though Chen Feng kept a normal attitude towards her and didn't lack intimacy, being close and leaning together inevitably stirred some thoughts.

After the fifth photo still didn't satisfy her, Chen Feng couldn't help jokingly saying, "Are you deliberately tempting me to make a mistake?"

Yu Xiaohui gave a bright smile and said, "I am tempting you, let's see if you can resist."

Chen Feng avoided her seductive gaze, let out an awkward laugh, and said, "I thought we had an unspoken agreement; we're fine as old classmates and friends. There's no need to cross that line. Besides, you know my situation— I can't promise you anything. Even if something does happen, I won't be able to marry you."

Yu Xiaohui answered with a gentle hug, naturally wrapping her arms around his waist and leaning her whole body into his embrace.

"I've figured it out. I don't need you to be responsible or to marry me. I just want to find someone I like, who can keep me company when I'm free. I know you're not after my money, which is better than those men trying to get close to me. Besides, you know I've always liked you."

"Oh, you're making it difficult for me," Chen Feng said somewhat insincerely, "But you're right, I'm certainly not after your money because I'm wealthier than you."

"So, are you willing to accept me now?"

"Are you really sure?"

"Yeah. Rather than letting some other man benefit in the future, I'd rather let it be you."

Chen Feng thought to himself, between you and me, who's benefiting whom isn't certain yet.

His hand naturally extended to rest on her full, round behind.

A breeze stirred, the begonia trees rustled, and a few petals fluttered down.
