Shen Youran was leading Lou Xi out of the room when Ji Mushen happened to come over.

Shen Youran, unable to walk as she was held by the wrist, turned to look at Ji Mushen, "Whatever it is, wait till I get back to discuss. I need to take her to see her husband!"

"I’ll arrange for someone to take her; you come with me." With a glance from Ji Mushen, a woman who looked like a secretary walked over to Lou Xi, saying she would take her to see Qin Mobai.

Lou Xi felt it didn’t matter who took her to see Qin Mobai; what mattered was seeing him!

Shen Youran felt her heart sink deeply upon hearing Ji Mushen’s words.

Because Lou Xi was the daughter she had yearned for over many years, Ji Mushen thought of using such a method to keep them?

Tears rolled down from Shen Youran’s eyes; she couldn’t bear parting with Lou Xi, but didn’t know how to reconcile with her daughter.
