After Prison I Rushed into Marriage with a Comatose Tycoon-Chapter 95: Indeed Scared
"Wait here." Shane Lockwood hung up quickly.
Emmett Lockwood asked, "Mom, what did Dad say?"
Eliza Sutton replied, "He told us to wait."
"Fine. If Dad insists on coming, I guess we’ll wait," Emmett Lockwood grumbled, a little unhappy.
Seeing Eliza Sutton whispering with Emmett Lockwood, the large woman could no longer contain her anger and roared, "You little bitch, what are you standing around for? Get on your knees! Or do I need to have my men teach you how?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she gave the head security guard a look.
Two guards immediately stepped forward to grab Eliza Sutton, clearly intending to use force.
Without so much as batting an eye, Eliza Sutton knocked the guards to the ground.
The head guard sneered. "Well, well. I didn’t expect a tough one. In that case, I’ll have to see for myself!"
With a wave of his hand, he was about to charge forward with his remaining subordinates.
Eliza Sutton frowned, thoroughly annoyed.
’These people with a little bit of power who don’t know their place are the worst,’ she thought. ’They’re always so stupid and arrogant.’
Eliza Sutton picked up Emmett Lockwood and was just about to make her move when, with a sudden RUSH, a group of people appeared and surrounded them.
This sudden turn of events shocked everyone.
They stared in shock and confusion at the bodyguards who had appeared out of nowhere.
A moment later, Erik Irvine walked in.
The tattooed man’s eyes lit up when he saw Erik Irvine, and he hurried over. "Secretary Irvine, what brings you here? I’m so embarrassed that such a trivial matter required your personal attention."
Though he spoke of embarrassment, the tattooed man was beaming. If he’d had a tail, it would have been wagging fast enough to be a blur.
The large woman was incredibly smug. "See that? Secretary Irvine is here. You must be scared now."
From the large woman’s gloating, Eliza Sutton pieced together the tattooed man’s background.
It turned out the tattooed man was a distant relative of the second wife, Florence Young. Although the second branch had been driven out of the Lockwood Group after a failed power struggle, along with all their cronies...
...the family’s connections were extensive, so it was inevitable that a few fish slipped through the net.
Furthermore, this tattooed man wasn’t a general manager of the Lockwood Group proper; he was merely the GM of a very insignificant subsidiary.
The company was so small it was practically in exile—the kind you’d normally never even think about.
No one could have imagined that the general manager of such a minor subsidiary would dare to throw the Lockwood Group’s name around to cause trouble, much less bully Eliza Sutton and Emmett Lockwood.
Eliza Sutton was speechless when she heard this.
Eliza said sincerely, "Someone should be scared, yes."
But that someone wasn’t her.
Unfortunately, the large woman didn’t catch her meaning.
She burst out laughing. "Scared now? Too late! You little bitch, you dared to cross me. This time, I’ll make sure you pay dearly, if I don’t skin you alive!"
The large woman’s eyes were filled with scorn, as if she could already see Eliza Sutton’s downfall in the next second.
Meanwhile, the tattooed man was also ecstatic.
He was going crazy with joy.
He mainly couldn’t believe that not only had Erik Irvine come, but Shane Lockwood was here as well.
Although he called himself a general manager of the Lockwood Group and had some minor connection to the second branch, this was the first time he’d ever had the honor of seeing Shane Lockwood up close.
The tattooed man’s mind was now completely filled with the thought that Shane Lockwood had personally come to back him up.
’I’ve made it,’ he thought. ’I’ve really made it big now.’
Beaming, the tattooed man said, "President Lockwood, you shouldn’t have gone to all this trouble. It was just a trivial matter that bothered you. Just teach this blind woman and her little bastard a lesson, no need to get serious."
Shane Lockwood finally looked at the tattooed man, a slight smirk playing on his thin lips. "I’m surprised you have such a merciful heart."
Shane Lockwood’s words were dripping with sarcasm, but unfortunately, the tattooed man, his head clouded by joy, didn’t notice at all.
He waved his hands and said with a laugh, "Not at all, not at all! I learned it all from you, President Lockwood. You’re my role model."
A stream of flattery followed.
Erik Irvine looked at the tattooed man as if he were watching the biggest joke in the world.
Shane Lockwood ignored him, maneuvering his wheelchair toward Eliza Sutton.
The tattooed man was surprised by this and couldn’t help but say, "President Lockwood, she’s just a brainless, blind woman. I can teach her a lesson myself. No need for you to get your hands dirty."
He still thought Shane Lockwood was here to avenge him for being wronged.
Erik Irvine couldn’t stand it anymore and cursed, "You idiot."
The tattooed man was displeased. "Secretary Irvine, what did I do wrong? Why are you cursing at me?"
Just as he finished speaking, he heard Shane Lockwood say, "Get over here. Are you waiting for a personal invitation?"
Then, the tattooed man saw the "little bastard" he had been insulting walk obediently over to Shane Lockwood, lower his head, and say, "Dad."
Dad...
Dad what? 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
’Am I hearing things?’ he thought.
He couldn’t help but search Erik Irvine’s eyes for an answer, but all he found was pity.
Then, the tattooed man saw Eliza Sutton walk over and call out, "Mr. Lockwood."
Secretary Irvine greeted them very politely, "Young Master, Mistress."
So, he hadn’t been hearing things.
The "little mutt" he’d been insulting was Shane Lockwood’s son, the Little Prince of the Lockwood Family.
And the young woman he had been lusting after was Shane Lockwood’s wife.
At this realization, the tattooed man dropped to his knees with a THUD. A pool of yellow liquid quickly spread from between his legs, and the foul stench of urine filled the air.
The tattooed man had pissed himself in fear.
Literally.
Even someone as clueless as the large woman knew she had gotten into huge trouble this time, and her legs gave out, causing her to crumple to the floor.
Sean Zimmerman was still young. Although he could tell his parents’ reactions were strange, he didn’t understand what was happening.
Emmett Lockwood walked up to Sean Zimmerman and looked at him seriously. "Sean Zimmerman, now you see, don’t you? I’m not a bastard. I have a dad, and I have a mom."
"I... I see."
"Then apologize. My mom beat you earlier, and you promised to apologize but went back on your word. Now, I am formally demanding that you apologize."
Hearing this, the tattooed man couldn’t take it anymore. He rushed over, grabbed his son by the neck, and yelled, "Apologize! Apologize to him right now! How could you just insult people like that!"
The tattooed man then gave Shane Lockwood a servile, fawning smile. "President Lockwood, I’ll make my son apologize right away! Apologize, hurry up!"
Sean Zimmerman had never been treated like this by his father before and burst into terrified sobs.
"I’m sorry, I was wrong! I shouldn’t have called you names, and I shouldn’t have gotten my classmates to bully you with me. I was wrong."
"I hear your apology, but I don’t forgive you," Emmett Lockwood said with great seriousness.
He wouldn’t forgive Sean Zimmerman.
Forgiving an abuser just because they cried was a stupid thing to do.
Besides, Sean Zimmerman’s parents had just tried to attack his mother.
Thinking of that, Emmett found it even more impossible to forgive him.
After saying his piece, Emmett Lockwood returned to Shane Lockwood’s side, his little face full of determination. "Dad, this is the first and last time."
