"Morning, sir!"

Albert, dressed in a crisp suit, greeted Huang Kaiwen with a bow.

Huang Kaiwen rubbed his eyes, sensing an ominous premonition.

Every time the old butler was this eager,

something was bound to happen.

Huang Kaiwen felt a bit drained.

He had indeed weathered many storms and could take a lot,

but between a butler and a coach,

their combined capacity for stirring things up far exceeded Huang Kaiwen’s tolerance.

They could be called the biggest stumbling blocks in his life.

Sometimes Huang Kaiwen thought about sending Albert back to his Lorraine hometown to keep an eye on The Third Reich’s movements, which would be less irritating than having him around.

In a way, Albert to Huang Kaiwen was like Inzaghi to Barbara.

But the old butler was still somewhat useful, extremely efficient at work and capable of all sorts of dirty and tiring tasks.

Huang Kaiwen even felt that Albert was slumming it as his butler — if he were to hit the streets, he would quickly earn the appreciation of a boss and likely end up leading everyone to the moon.

The young lady trusted Albert more, too.

So, it had to be this way for the time being.

The old butler’s smile was ingratiating as he quickly approached Huang Kaiwen with something in hand, saying, "Someone from your homeland has sent you something."

"Just open it,"

Huang Kaiwen said with a resigned expression.

There were so many people offering treasures that Huang Kaiwen didn’t bother looking anymore.

He’d received three pieces of things like the Wei Wu Sword and Fish Intestine Sword...

Most were students joking around with him.

Huang Kaiwen just played along kindly, like teasing kittens or puppies.

"It’s said to be three national treasures from your country," the old butler said obsequiously, opening the box.

Upon seeing the contents of the box, Huang Kaiwen’s eyes widened.

Who the hell told you the Eight Chi Qiong Hook Jade, Heavenly Cloud Cong Sword, and Yata Mirror are our national treasures?

Who the hell are my compatriots?

Huang Kaiwen dashed upstairs at once.

He immediately returned to his bedroom and took out his phone to call the police.

He’d watched "Approaching Science" before, where at most someone would get sick from picking up radioactive parts.

Huang Kaiwen was also wary of little Japan harbouring ill intentions.

After all, he was a symbol of Chinese football; what if little Japan played dirty?

Even though those Japanese TV stations were good at hyping him up, Huang Kaiwen didn’t trust them.

What if it was iridium-192?

After the flurry,

Huang Kaiwen remembered he had the Golden Prison Award.

No one would commit crimes against him or those around him.

Huang Kaiwen breathed a sigh of relief.

He quickly called the police chief he met last time and informed him they could call off the response.

It wasn’t that he was overly suspicious.

Huang Kaiwen had once written a novel.

Its protagonist was a scientist.

Tiny Japan always sent assassins after the protagonist,

but luckily, the protagonist was not just a scientist but also a superhero, so they never succeeded.

There was a plot point about little Japan mailing radioactive packages.

No wonder it all felt so familiar to Huang Kaiwen.

He’d been inadvertently reenacting the plot of that book.

Coming down from the bedroom, Huang Kaiwen said with a forced laugh, "Japanese people are not my compatriots, don’t mix that up next time."

"Alright, sir, what about these three national treasures then?"

"They’re yours!"

"Thank you, sir."

Albert left the living room with profuse thanks, treasures in hand.

Huang Kaiwen opened the fridge, poured himself a glass of chilled orange juice, and downed it in one go.

Only then did he begin to feel a bit better.

His life was supposed to be simple,

but these people kept causing trouble.

The bad day started with Albert.

After finishing a late breakfast, Huang Kaiwen called Kaka.

Kaka soon arrived at Huang Kaiwen’s home.

"How about we go to the new district?"

Kaka asked eagerly.

"Sure, the newly opened Zone 100, right? But it means starting all over again," Huang Kaiwen said.

"No problem, I’ll just have to endorse something again next year,"

Kaka said nonchalantly.

"Alright then."

The two sat in front of the computer, beginning to create new characters.

Seeing the name Huang Kaiwen typed in [F·Inzaghi], Kaka curiously asked, "Why pick this name?"

"Because when you blow up someone’s gear, you’re bound to be cursed at; better use someone else’s name,"

Huang Kaiwen said with a smile.

"Kevin, you’re so clever!"

Kaka exclaimed.

He also typed in a name [A·Pirlo]

The two exchanged a knowing smile,

feeling the new names were very fitting.

Inzaghi and Pirlo had been at each other’s throats for years and were moderately well-known in China, as the many soccer fans tended to have diverse team loyalties.

Generally, you had to be a Milan fan to like them.

But from the birth of these two avatars, Huang Kaiwen sensed that for many years to come,

whether on forums or Tieba, whether on Hupu or XHS, any mention of early gaming moguls had to include Inzaghi and Pirlo.

This was essentially free advertising for them; not charging them was already showing loyalty.

Huang Kaiwen and Kaka happily hacked away at scarecrows outside the Newbie Village.

Huang Kaiwen’s phone rang.

Seeing the caller ID, he felt inexplicably guilty.

"Hello, Filippo, what’s up?"

Huang Kaiwen asked.

On the other end of the phone, Inzaghi said, "Wanna hang out?"

"Forget it, we’re playing games,"

Kaka chimed in.

"No worries, it won’t interfere; let’s meet tonight, I’ll come pick you guys up,"

Inzaghi said quickly, hanging up before Huang Kaiwen could respond.

"Let’s just go out with him then. Filippo always loses his bets; might as well satisfy his wish," Huang Kaiwen suggested.

"Alright," Kaka agreed reluctantly.

He had been hoping to level up quickly and learn the Sword of Killing technique.
