Aísē: My Five Supernatural Wives-Chapter 121: You’re still our enemy
The battle intensified, a whirlwind of steel and demonic energy.
I moved with a speed and ferocity that surprised even myself, my body a blur of motion as I struck at the knight from every angle.
The golem was strong, its armor deflecting many of my blows, but I was relentless.
"Come on!" I shouted, my voice hoarse with exertion. "Is that all you’ve got?"
The knight retaliated with a sweeping strike that sent me skidding across the floor. It raised its sword high, preparing for a killing blow.
"Valerian!" Liliana screamed, her wings beating frantically as she tried to reach me.
"Don’t you dare die on us!" Aisha yelled, her own weapons flashing as she fought to keep the knight’s attention divided.
Mephistopheles watched with a critical eye, her arms crossed over her chest. "Focus," she commanded.
I gritted my teeth, pushing myself to my limits. The knight’s sword descended, but I rolled out of the way at the last second.
The blade slammed into the stone floor, sending shards flying."Not today," I growled, springing back to my feet.
With a burst of speed, I closed the distance and drove my sword into the gap between the knight’s armor plates.
Demonic energy surged through the blade, and with a deafening screech of metal, the golem froze.
"What...what have you done?" it stammered, its glowing eyes flickering.
"It’s over," I said, twisting the sword and channeling more power into it.
There was a final, agonizing scream from the knight as it shattered into pieces, collapsing into a heap of scrap metal.
"Hahaha!" I laughed, pulling my sword from the knight’s remains. "There you go, piece of junk! For terrorizing my wives."I turned to Liliana and Aisha, who were staring at me with a mixture of awe and relief."Are you two alright?" I asked, sheathing my sword.
They rushed to my side, their faces streaked with tears and grime. "We’re fine," Liliana said, wrapping her arms around me tightly.
"Thanks to you."Aisha nodded vigorously, burying her face in my chest. "You were amazing," she murmured.
Mephistopheles approached us slowly, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Not bad," she said, her voice tinged with approval. "You’ve got potential.
"She looked at Liliana and Aisha. "And it seems your wives have also improved." Her gaze hardened.
"But it’s not enough," Mephistopheles snapped her fingers. Two more dark knights materialized behind her, their armor glowing with a menacing red light as they fixed their glowing eyes on me."Are you kidding me?" I groaned, sweat dripping down my forehead. "Two more?"
Liliana and Aisha tensed up, their weapons at the ready. "We’ll help you," Aisha said firmly, taking out her spear.
"Damn right we will," Liliana added, her blazing whips crackling with energy.
Mephistopheles smiled cruelly.
"Good. You’ll need it." She gestured towards the knights.
"These ones are stronger. Let’s see how long you last this time."
The knights charged forward with a deafening roar, their swords raised high.
The battle was far from over.
I summoned two swords made of pure demonic energy, their blades crackling with lightning.
With a roar, I launched myself at the knights, my movements accelerated by gravity magic. The vines wrapped around my body and weapons, granting me extra reach and strength.
"Come on, you metal bastards!" I yelled, engaging the first knight in a whirlwind of steel and electricity.
Liliana and Aisha fought alongside me, their skills complementing mine perfectly.
Aisha’s Spear created powerful slashes that pierced the air throwing the knights off balance, while Liliana’s whips lashed out with blinding speed, wrapping around their limbs and restricting their movement."Watch your back!" Aisha shouted as one of the knights swung its sword at me from behind.
I ducked just in time, feeling the wind of its passing ruffle my hair.
The battle was intense, a chaotic dance of blades and magic.
But with every blow I landed, I felt my power growing.
....
...
"Hmmm..." Mephistopheles quietly observed from the sidelines as she judged the battle.
’I don’t understand why are you trying to make Valerian fight all these golems’ Isabella’s voice echoed within her mind as she processed the fight.
"I am just making sure he has enough experience in dealing with strong enemies, because the fight we are getting into wouldn’t be easy" Mephistopheles said plainly though her attention was entirely on the Fight.
’I never knew my Father would be....’ Isabella’s words felt sad as she felt responsible for causing all this.
Mephistopheles didn’t reply as she couldn’t say anything about this topic.
"Arghh—!"
Her attention snapped back to the fight as she heard the grown of pain.
.....
...
Suddenly, a sharp pain lanced through my body as two lances pierced my sides.
The knights had caught me off guard, their movements faster than I anticipated."Valerian!" Liliana screamed, her eyes widening in horror.
I grunted, the demonic energy around me flickering as I struggled to maintain my form.
Blood trickled from the wounds, but I refused to fall.
With a snarl, I channeled all my power into my swords and swung them with renewed vigor.
"Get...off...me!" I roared, severing the lances and sending the knights stumbling back.
Aisha rushed to my side, her hands glowing with healing magic.
"Hold on," she urged, pressing her palms against my wounds.
"Don’t you dare die on us."
The pain was excruciating, but I pushed it aside. These knights wouldn’t defeat me.
Not while my wives were by my side.
.....Or else it would be very uncool!
....
.....
The bleeding stopped soon enough, my vampiric healing factor kicking in.
Ignoring the stunned looks from Liliana and Aisha, I summoned a longbow that seemed to materialize from the shadows themselves.
It was a weapon I had inherited from my werewolf bloodline, one that felt instinctively right in my hands.
"Are you crazy?" Liliana exclaimed, dodging a knight’s swing.
"Using a bow in close combat?"
"Trust me," I growled, nocking an arrow made of pure demonic energy.
The knights charged at me, their swords raised. At the last moment, I sidestepped and loosed the arrow.
It streaked through the air and embedded itself in the first knight’s helmet with a deafening clang.
The golem staggered, its movements faltering as sparks flew from its damaged headpiece.
"What sorcery is this?" it rumbled, trying to remove the arrow.
As the knight tried to pull the arrow from its helmet, a crackle of thunder filled the air.
The demonic energy within the arrow surged, and a bolt of lightning struck the golem with devastating force.
It convulsed violently, smoke pouring from its joints as its systems short-circuited.
"What sorcery is this?" it repeated, its voice distorted by static.
I didn’t give it a chance to recover. I loosed another arrow at the second knight, this one imbued with gravitational force.
It hit the golem in the chest, pulling it towards me with immense power.
The knight stumbled, its feet scraping against the floor as it fought against the invisible pull.
"Valerian, you’re insane!" Aisha shouted, but there was a note of admiration in her voice.
Liliana laughed maniacally, her whips flashing as she took advantage of the knights’ distraction.
"Keep it up! This is brilliant!"
Liliana saw her opportunity and seized it. With a fierce cry, she lashed out with her whips, the leather cords wrapping around the stunned knights’ necks and limbs.
She pulled with all her strength, using their own momentum against them and sending them crashing into each other with a resounding clang.
"Take that, you overgrown tin cans!" she shouted, her wings beating furiously to keep her airborne.
"Finish them off!" Liliana urged, her whips cracking through the air as she kept the knights at bay.
I nodded, drawing another arrow to my bowstring. The knights were disoriented, their movements sluggish.
This was my chance. I aimed carefully, channeling all my power into the arrowhead.
It glowed with an intense light with black lightning crackling around it before I let it fly.
"Checkmate," I whispered as the arrow flew true, piercing through the first knight’s chest plate and embedding itself deep within its core.
The golem shuddered, its red eyes flickering before extinguishing completely.
It collapsed into a heap of scrap metal with a final, defeated groan.
The second knight, still tangled in Liliana’s whips, struggled to free itself. But it was too late.
With a final burst of power, I loosed another arrow that struck it directly in the headpiece.
The resulting explosion of lightning and demonic energy tore the golem apart from the inside out.
Silence fell over the room as the dust settled. Liliana landed gracefully beside me, her chest heaving.
Aisha rushed to my side, her eyes scanning me for injuries.
"You did it," she breathed, wrapping her arms around me tightly.
"That was... incredible," Liliana added, leaning against me exhausted but exhilarated.
Mephistopheles clapped slowly, the sound echoing in the sudden silence.
"Bravo," she said, her voice dripping with approval.
"Bravo indeed.
"Liliana and Aisha tensed up immediately, their hands tightening on their weapons as they eyed the demonic spirit warily. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
"Don’t get too comfortable," Liliana muttered, positioning herself protectively in front of me.
"You’re still our enemy,"
