All My Professions Have Divine-Level Talents-Chapter 48: King Level
He saw their names on the list: Luo Si and Meizer.
Lu Cang paused.
He walked into the Adventurer’s Guild.
"Celia."
"Little Lu Cang..."
"I need the information on Luo Si and Meizer’s disappearance," Lu Cang said calmly.
Celia met Lu Cang’s gaze.
But she saw not a trace of grief or confusion in his eyes.
Celia held back her words of comfort.
She immediately retrieved the commission form.
"Lu Cang... this is the commission form their team accepted and the information on their disappearance."
Lu Cang took the information and glanced at it.
The report stated they were missing.
Inside a Tier Three Dungeon, they had encountered a Monarch Level Demon and made the decision to flee for their lives.
They escaped, but Luo Si and Meizer were separated from the others during their flight. Their whereabouts were unknown.
That was all the information.
It had happened half an hour ago.
Not long at all.
Lu Cang just nodded lightly.
He quickly turned and walked out the door.
But this time, Lu Cang didn’t go looking for a mount.
Instead, Ice surged from beneath his feet.
SHING—
A huge Ice Shuttle condensed beneath Lu Cang’s feet.
BANG!
In an instant, Lu Cang vanished from the spot, leaving a cold current in his wake.
...
The Ice Shuttle flew at incredible speed.
Even with Lu Cang standing on it, the Ice Shuttle broke the sound barrier of Earth.
But in this world, the speed of sound seemed much higher.
In less than five minutes, Lu Cang had already arrived at the Dungeon they had been exploring today.
"Hahh..."
’This is my first time going to a Dungeon alone.’
But Lu Cang didn’t delay.
[Heart’s Everlasting Lamp (Level 201) — Selfish Light]
After the Everlasting Lamp evolved again, it no longer produced a real light. Instead, Lu Cang could now share the Lamp’s effect with his teammates.
What enemies saw as darkness, Lu Cang and his teammates saw as illuminated.
The light illuminated every corner of the cave.
This was the Cave of Blood Sacrifice.
A Tier Three Dungeon.
The cave walls were covered in dripping bloodstains.
Lu Cang made the Ice Shuttle circle his body, while the Breathing Wind Swarm also completely enveloped him.
At the same time, his Protective Barrier (Level 201) formed a sphere that completely enclosed him.
"Luo Si!"
"Meizer!"
"Answer me if you can hear me!"
There was a corner ahead.
[Rejection Wind Roar (Level 201)]
As Lu Cang called out, he unleashed the Rejection Wind Roar!
Only after confirming there were no traps or ambushes did he move past the corner.
Rounding the corner, he could see a wide-open space in the distance.
A Blood Pool was in the very center of the spacious cavern. Around it, four faceless, humanoid Demons formed from blood were wandering.
BANG!
The Ice Shuttle shot out almost instantly!
In a flash, it pierced through the four Blood Puppets, turning them into statues of frozen blood.
The path ahead was wide open.
Lu Cang released his Wandering Shadow Swamp. Like a vast colony of Shadow Demons, it crept along the cavern walls.
Passing the Blood Pool, he saw signs of a battle everywhere.
Lu Cang glanced into the huge Blood Pool.
It was a boiling pool of blood.
It contained only blood, which churned with a thick, gurgling sound.
’I don’t know if Luo Si and Meizer are in there, but if they are, there’s no point in looking for them anymore.’
Lu Cang didn’t intend to waste effort investigating it.
Instead, he continued onward at a quick pace.
DONG—
Suddenly, a heavy, muffled sound came from the ground.
The surrounding Elements also began to stir restlessly.
’This Dungeon has a King Level Demon...’
"Didn’t I already know that before I came?"
Lu Cang sighed softly and continued exploring deeper.
Cave-type Dungeons were nothing more than tunnels and open caverns.
There was little variation in the terrain.
Besides rock walls, there was only blood.
It was just that the further he went into this Dungeon, the thicker the blood became.
Fortunately, this wasn’t Lu Cang’s first day exploring Dungeons, so he had already built up some resistance to these somewhat horrifying scenes.
He still encountered quite a few Demons along the way, likely ones the previous team hadn’t cleared out when exploring side paths.
Normally, you didn’t need to clear out all the Demons when exploring a Dungeon.
After killing the Dungeon’s Guardian, these lesser monsters would disappear on their own before long.
However, when Lu Cang encountered these lesser monsters, he dealt with them casually.
He also encountered and disarmed three traps along the way.
"Luo Si!"
"Meizer!"
"Answer me if you can hear me!"
Lu Cang was beginning to understand the frustration of rescuers in movies and TV shows.
’Why did I come to save them?’
’Because they’re my friends, I guess?’
’Because... I feel like they can still be saved?’
’Putting myself in danger like this is so annoying.’
’I kind of want to give up and stop looking.’
’Adventuring means being responsible for your own actions.’
Lu Cang clutched the Pendant on his chest.
This was a Protective Talisman he had bought from the Magic Item Shop owner for 1,500 Gold Coins.
A Tier Four Life Shelter Technique was sealed inside it.
It would activate instantly upon receiving an unstoppable blow, with an effect equivalent to the full defensive power of a Tier Four Defender.
The effect of his other Ring was a Tier Four Healing Moment.
It could restore injuries sustained within a certain period of Time.
In total, he had spent about 3,000 Gold Coins on life-saving gear, which also included various Potions for detoxification and Purifying abnormal statuses.
There was even a Tier Four Random Teleportation Scroll.
It could be used to cast Random Teleportation Magic.
As for where in the world it would teleport him... that was unknown.
Lu Cang wouldn’t use this thing unless it was an absolute last resort.
"Whatever. At least I won’t die just by looking at a King Level Demon."
’If a single glance was fatal, the whole team would’ve been wiped out, not just have a few members escape.’
DONG—
The cavern trembled again.
Another corner. Lu Cang expertly used Magic to check ahead.
BOOM!
This time, however, after he launched the Wind Roar, he felt the feedback of a hit.
But the feedback came from a distance, not up close!
RUMBLE—
Lu Cang immediately raised a Heavy Wall, blocking the area in front of the corner.
There was a hole in the middle of the Heavy Wall.
A barrier formed to cover the opening, through which Lu Cang observed the scene in the distance.
Before him was a blood-red altar, formed from an immense convergence of blood.
Luo Si and Meizer were suspended high in the air by blood-red chains, hanging directly above the altar.
Below the altar were hundreds of faceless humanoids made entirely of blood.
They were prostrating themselves toward the altar.
In the far distance stood a blood-red throne. Upon the throne sat a humanoid creature composed entirely of blood.
What set it apart from the countless kneeling Blood Puppets below was its much larger size. It wore crimson Armor and had a blood-red Giant Sword resting by its side.
The moment Lu Cang saw it, it also opened its black, hollow eyes.
Its gaze met Lu Cang’s.
"It seems... a new guest has arrived."
