All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human-Chapter 200: Role Swap Show—Rich Girl’s Counterattack (Part 9)
Cheng Huai never imagined that one day, he would be carried down the mountain by a city girl.
Now, he was being carried on her shoulder, his uneasy expression hidden by the darkening sky. He was, after all, a country boy, and this was the first time he’d felt so embarrassed.
"You’ve got quite a bit of strength."
Qiann Yan: "Not bad, carrying someone like you is no problem."
Cheng Huai: It’s not just no problem — it seems easy for her. She’d probably have no issue carrying another one.
People really misunderstood city kids, as they turned out to be even stronger than country kids. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"Actually... this show isn’t great. I don’t think you all are bad; you don’t need this show to transform you." After a while, Cheng Huai said, "Everyone has their own strengths, and that’s precious."
Qiann Yan, surprised: "Are you a top student?"
"You could say that."
"That’s so much better than those fools who only know how to randomly shoot and edit."
Cheng Huai: "You know what this show is about, so why did you come?"
"I didn’t know before, I was tricked," Qiann Yan said, recounting Meng Xiangxiang’s experience, as she was deceived by Wenn Cen, who said that after transformation through this program, she would get special attention from her mother.
However, the edited result turned out to be quite educational.
What lies behind it, though, hardly anyone would care about.
Soon they reached the bottom of the mountain, and Qiann Yan carried Cheng Huai to his home, conveniently in the opposite direction of Zhang Juying’s house.
She was quick on her feet, and by the time they arrived, it wasn’t fully dark yet, the horizon was still ablaze with red clouds.
Upon arrival at Cheng Huai’s house, they saw an elderly woman sitting at the door with a worried expression. When she saw Qiann Yan appear, the old woman immediately stood up and approached them.
This was Cheng Huai’s grandmother, Xiaang Huiying, with whom he shared a close bond.
"Grandma." Cheng Huai, worried that she might be concerned, quickly called out.
Xiaang Huiying breathed a sigh of relief, then quickly asked, "Little Hua, what happened to you? How come you’re being carried back by a girl?"
Qiann Yan put Cheng Huai down, and he was much better now, barely able to walk on flat ground.
Xiaang Huiying hurried over, touching here and there, "You’re really going to worry grandma sick — disappeared all afternoon and scared me half to death."
Cheng Huai quickly reassured her, and promptly explained the events of today.
During this time, Xiaang Huiying didn’t know how many times she thanked Qiann Yan and insisted on her staying for dinner.
Qiann Yan wasn’t keen on going back to eat the usual buggy meals, so she stayed to help Cheng Huai check his injuries.
Earlier, when they were descending, she casually grabbed some herbs which proved helpful for Cheng Huai.
"You can treat injuries too?" Cheng Huai was shocked, "I think my leg is fractured. I planned to get it checked tomorrow."
"The sooner it’s treated, the better. Don’t delay."
Cheng Huai recalled Qiann Yan’s capabilities and trusted her ability.
Soon his bone was set right, and Xiaang Huiying ground the herbs, with Qiann Yan helping to apply them: "Be careful not to let the wound touch water for the next few days. You can either go to the doctor tomorrow or I can help treat it."
Cheng Huai: Who exactly is the real country kid here?
During dinner, Qiann Yan observed the place. Though simple, it was clean everywhere, providing a sense of comfort. Everything was neatly arranged.
Especially the dishes and utensils, which were washed meticulously, not lazily glossed over.
After dinner, Qiann Yan bid farewell to the two and returned home.
As soon as she got back, she faced Meng Xiangxiang’s relentless interrogation.
"Where did you run off to?"
"Can you cooperate better with the filming?"
