Alpha Razor King-Chapter 140: Surrender.
My eyes snapped open, and I found myself on the ground near the cliff, panting heavily.
"Razor... Razor, are you alright?" Isabella’s worried voice cut through the haze as she and Cross ran to my side.
I looked up and saw their concerned faces. "Isabella? Cross, it all came back. My memory, I remember..."
Isabella’s eyes widened with a mix of relief and anxiety. "What do you remember?"
I took a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart. "I was attacked by a pack of wolves.
My eyes snapped open, and I found myself on the ground near the cliff, panting heavily.
"Razor... Razor, are you alright?" Isabella’s worried voice cut through the haze as she and Cross ran to my side.
I looked up and saw their concerned faces. "My memory, I remembered something..." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Isabella’s eyes widened. "What do you remember?"
I took a deep breath. "I was attacked by a pack of wolves. But I managed to break free before jumping down." I pointed at the waters below.
"So you were the one who jumped down yourself," Cross noted. "But apart from that, what else do you remember?"
"There was one... a white wolf. He seemed like the leader, and he was looking to kill me."
"White wolf?" Cross asked, and I nodded. "I think that’s Tom. That fucking bastard."
"The one rumored to be back," Isabella said, her voice trembling slightly.
They both nodded before helping me stand up.
I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration, shifting my gaze from Isabella to Cross. "I really wish I could remember everything. It sucks that I can’t remember anything about you or this place."
"It’s fine, Razor," Isabella said, linking her arm with mine. "I’m sure it will come back. Come on, let’s go home."
I didn’t pull away and let her guide me back. When we got back to the pack house, there was something inherently weird about the surroundings. I sniffed the air, sensing something oddly familiar. There were no guards at the gate, and it was too quiet.
"Wait." Cross raised his hand. "I can smell something... someone."
"I think it’s him," I said, my heart pounding. "Yes, I remember. It smells like the white wolf in my memory."
"Tom!" Isabella’s eyes widened in horror. "My goodness... Nathan, we have to find Nathan." She dashed into the pack house, with Cross and me following closely behind.
When we got inside, we were surprised to see a large number of people gathered, with our own pack members kneeling on the floor in surrender.
"What happened here? What’s going on, and who are you bastards?" Isabella growled at them.
Then a tall man with a scar stepped aside, wearing a smug grin.
"Tom, you fucking bastard!" Isabella snarled at him. I had to hold her back from attacking the man.
When we got inside, we were surprised to see a large number of people gathered, with our own pack members kneeling on the floor in surrender. Among our pack members, I could recognize Dean, but Nathan, Anna, Lisa, and Chris were missing. Did they escape?
"Well, well, well. So the rumors are true. You’re actually alive?" Tom smiled at me with amusement. "Welcome back, Razor. My darling nephew."
Finally, the so-called Tom made his appearance.
My grip on Isabella tightened as I stared at him, fury boiling within me. "What do you want "
"Your pack?" Tom laughed. "You abandoned them, remember? You left them vulnerable. I just took advantage of the opportunity."
"You son of a bitch," Cross spat, stepping forward. "You think you can just waltz in here and take over?"
Tom’s eyes shifted to Cross, his smile widening. "Ah, Cross. Shut your mouth. This is between the elders."
"Let them go," I demanded coldly. "This is between you and me."
Tom’s amusement faded, replaced by a look of cold calculation. "Oh, but this is so much more than that, Razor. You see, I’ve spent years planning this. Ever since you escaped, I’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to strike. And now, here we are."
"You’re a coward," Isabella hissed. "Attacking when we least expect it, hiding behind your followers."
"Call it strategy," Tom shrugged. "And as for my followers, they believe in me. They see what you refuse to see—that you are unfit to lead."
I felt a growl rumble deep in my chest. "Let them go and take me, you bastard!"
Tom laughed. "Not so fast. Seeing that you’re still standing there talking to me, you really don’t remember anything, do you, Razor?"
I met his gaze, refusing to back down. "Even if I can’t remember, I won’t let you hurt my family."
Tom’s smile widened. "I knew it. You don’t remember, which means you’re not as strong as you used to be."
"You want to try?" I challenged, but he only scoffed.
"I’m sorry, but I’ve got a much better idea than that. Carl, come out."
The name rang a bell. A blonde man emerged from inside the building, dragging Nathan with him.
"Let him go right now!" I barked, still holding Isabella, who was ready to pounce on him.
Carl tightened his grip on Nathan. "You should listen to your uncle here, Razor. He’s got quite the plan."
Nathan’s eyes were wide with fear, but he tried to appear brave, looking up at me with a plea for help. My heart ached seeing him like that.
"Tom, this is between you and me," I said, trying to stay calm. "Let the boy go."
Tom shook his head. "Oh, but Razor, you don’t get it, do you? This isn’t just about you. It’s about sending a message. Your pack needs to understand who truly holds the power now."
"You’re a coward, hiding behind a child," Isabella spat. "Fight us directly if you have any honor left."
Tom’s eyes narrowed. "Honor is a luxury I can no longer afford, Isabella. You should know that by now."
I took a step forward, my claws itching to rip into Tom’s smug face. "If you harm him, I swear I’ll make you regret it."
Tom raised an eyebrow. "Empty threats won’t help you, Razor. But since you insist on playing the hero..." He nodded to Carl.
Carl grinned and drew a knife, holding it dangerously close to Nathan’s throat. "One wrong move, and your son gets it," he threatened.
"Stop!" I shouted, panic flooding my veins. "Alright, Tom, you’ve made your point. What do you want?"
Tom’s smile returned. "Simple. I want you to surrender. Submit to me as the new Alpha, and perhaps I’ll let the boy live."
Isabella gasped, her eyes wide with horror. "You can’t! Razor, you can’t do that!"
"I...I will surrender," I said through gritted teeth.
"No, Razor!" Isabella protested. "There has to be another way."
Tom’s eyes gleamed with triumph. "Wise choice, Razor. Now, kneel."
I hesitated, the taste of defeat bitter on my tongue. But Nathan’s safety was my priority. He was my son for fucks sake. Slowly, I began to lower myself to my knees.
Suddenly, a loud growl echoed through the room.
