Every word that came from my father brought me nothing but happiness. The tension and hesitation I had been feeling a short while earlier slowly disappeared.

"So did you give him the list?" I asked my father excitedly.

"Yes, yes, I told him everything," he replied. "That you want to go to Paris, Switzerland, and Turkey. Do not worry. He will plan all these places. As soon as he said that, I felt shy. Then I noticed Zoe, who was coming out of the kitchen. There was no happiness on her face for me. Both the mother and daughter were becoming bitter. I had to get rid of both of them.

"Oh, I see. You were in Iris’s room last night, right?" Zoe rushed over and said quickly. I knew why she was saying it. She wanted me to hear it.
