Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 260-Team A
Iris:
"Of course," Lara replied smoothly. "And I am not telling you not to plan your child. Do it. But do not be disappointed about this." she continued to speak in a way that sounded so convincing.
"I will arrange everything for you. I will get Markus a job. And he himself will tell you, come, let’s go and get the tests done."
Lara spoke confidently. I do not think I would even be that confident about my own husband the way she was speaking about hers.
"You would do that? Is that possible?" Zoe asked.
That was enough for me to understand that they had formed a team again. That was exactly what I wanted to prevent. Maybe I was a little late.
"Yes, do not worry," Lara assured her. "Within a week, Markus himself will come to you and say, Zoe, now we are ready for a baby."
She repeated it again, as if she enjoyed watching Zoe’s reaction each time.
"Thank you so much. I knew you could never think badly of me from your heart."
Just like that, their reunion happened.
I quietly walked away.
I knew Lara was still playing a game. But she could only play as long as Zoe allowed her to.
And that, I also knew.
As soon as I went back downstairs, I sat with my children.
Kash had arrived, and as soon as he came in, he went straight to our bedroom.
He did not go to Lara.
I knew that must have bothered his mother, because Lady Vivian hurried after him to stop him, probably to send him from the living room to Lara’s room and create distance between us.
But when she saw that my children and I were sitting in the living room, she quietly withdrew her hand and walked away.
After that, it was time for dinner.
My children were watching television in the living room, while I got up and went to our bedroom.
The moment I stepped inside, Kash suddenly grabbed me from behind and pressed me against the wall.
"What are you doing?" I asked shyly, biting my bottom lip.
"I have been missing you the whole day," he murmured, kissing my cheek, my neck, everywhere, making me giggle.
Then I remembered what had happened earlier while I was sitting outside.
"Kash, I need to speak with you," I whispered, biting my bottom lip again when he started to suck on my skin a little too hard.
"Kash, stop, or I will not be able to make a full sentence," I complained.
He chuckled.
"Well then, do not," he replied. "Who told you to speak when we are this close?"
He cupped my face in his hands and kissed me deeply.
My lips moved with his in the same rhythm, and he was right.
Suddenly, I forgot what I wanted to say.
As soon as I wrapped my arms around his neck and the kiss deepened, someone abruptly opened the door.
"Oh, Kash..."
I jumped back immediately.
Kash, however, looked annoyed.
"Mother?" he said when he saw her standing there.
He gestured toward the door, reminding her that knocking existed.
"Oh, I am so sorry," she said quickly. "I was just very excited. I have had all the food prepared with my own hands today."
She looked at him closely.
"You have already changed. So what are you waiting for?"
It was clear she had come deliberately to separate us. The way she entered, she knew Kash was with me.
"Alright, let’s go," Kash said, gesturing for her to lead the way.
Even after stepping out of the room, she kept turning around quickly to make sure we were following her.
As soon as we went outside, we sat at the dinner table.
Lara and Zoe were already there.
"When did you come back from work today?" Lara started speaking the moment we sat down. "I did not even notice. My head was so heavy that I could not even realize."
She did not wait a second to see whether Kash wanted to speak to her or ask her anything. She just started talking.
I remained silent. What could I even say? I was the one who had asked him to let her stay.
"Yes, I was a little busy today. Why? What happened?" Kash asked her in a very careless tone.
For a moment, she went silent. Then she smiled.
"No, nothing like that. It is just that I am becoming a mother for the first time, so I am very excited," she said in a soft and dramatic voice, then kept smiling at Kash.
I felt angry, but I controlled myself.
"Well, anyway, my mother is with you twenty-four hours a day," Kash replied. "You can talk to her. Do some gossip with her. You people enjoy that too."
The moment he said that, not only my eyes but Zoe’s widened as well.
"Anyway, I heard from my warriors today that there was some commotion at home," Kash added, taking charge and turning to his sister. "Are you okay, Zoe?"
It was clear at that moment that none of them had expected Kash to bring that up.
His mother’s eyes immediately shifted toward me, as if I had influenced him.
"Yes, I am fine," Zoe replied in a moderate tone.
Then I saw the way she glanced at Markus from the corner of her eye, almost as if to make sure he was not getting angry with her.
"Actually, Zoe wants to get the tests done," I said.
The moment I spoke, Lara looked at me sharply. The same look appeared in Lady Vivian’s and Markus’s eyes.
I had expected Zoe to stop me and say this was her matter.
But she remained completely silent.
She let me speak.
"You should have gotten them done long ago," Kash responded, giving her a look of disapproval for waiting so long before going for the tests. "Even now, I think you have already delayed it too much."
"Actually, I am not ready for all this right now," Markus spoke up before Zoe could respond. "So I thought, what is the point of getting tests done when we are not planning to do anything yet?"
Because we had all been speaking repeatedly, Markus finally began taking a step himself and responding directly.
