Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 285-Scared Of Being Their Mother
Lara:
The dining table was already filled with stress, and on top of that, my stupid men kept calling and texting me constantly.
They informed me that they had checked one area and found nothing. Then they checked another area and still found nothing.
I was extremely worried. If Luca was in jail, then where were the children? Had he already told Iris?
Were they conducting a DNA test? Were they waiting for something? A thousand thoughts ran through my mind.
Seeing Iris and her children’s faces only worsened my mood. Finally, it was time for lunch to end so everyone could leave for their rooms.
I could not wait any longer. I had to take this call.
"Hello. You better have good news for me," I said on the phone, pacing anxiously away from the dining room.
As I reached the main exit, I looked out the large window and noticed Markus leaving the mansion while Iris was heading in the same direction.
That was the problem. I did not want to run into her. If she saw me watching him, she would know I was watching her sneaking out with Markus.
My eyes stayed on both of them. I stepped outside quietly.
Markus went out first. Then Iris followed. They were being careful.
I knew exactly what was happening. After all, I had planned it.
Once they both left, I stepped out from the side room again and stood by the window.
"Your Highness, we are trying. There is one area we are hopeful about. Many people have reported seeing a man delivering food to someone there multiple times. They have also seen children’s supplies. Maybe we will be lucky," the warrior informed me.
As soon as I heard this, I placed my hand on my chest and felt a brief sense of relief. But the tension was not over.
I did not know whose children they were referring to.
"Alright. Inform me once you have checked that place," I instructed before ending the call.
My eyes remained fixed on Iris and Markus.
The two of them stood close together. After that, Markus began showing her something on his phone.
At that moment, I turned on the video recording on my phone. First, I made sure no one was standing nearby and that no one could see me recording them.
Once I was certain, I started filming them secretly.
Just as planned, Iris’s attention was completely fixed on the phone. I watched Markus move closer to her.
He lifted his gaze and briefly looked in my direction. After that, he deliberately moved even closer to her.
He began smiling and mouthing words, making romantic gestures. He knew Iris’s head was lowered, so she could not see what he was doing above her.
They spoke for a while. After that, I lowered my phone because I heard footsteps approaching.
"Where is Iris?" Kash asked.
I turned around immediately, and an idea formed in my mind.
"They went outside for a walk," I replied casually, pointing toward the garden as if there was nothing unusual about it.
"She is with Markus?" Kash asked.
The way he stressed the question made it obvious that he found it strange.
"Yes, just a little while ago. Why? Did something happen? Should I call them back?" I asked, pretending to be clueless about his sudden tension.
"There is no need," he responded harshly.
He was about to leave when he suddenly turned back.
"Actually, I cannot find my tie. I have an important business meeting that came up suddenly. Could you please check in my closet?" he asked.
He had not asked me for anything since our first breakup, so this was a significant change. It was an opportunity I was not going to miss.
"Of course," I said, following behind him.
At least his anger was directed at Iris, and that worked in my favor.
I knew that Iris entertaining everyone was beginning to irritate Kash.
I followed Kash into his room.
When I opened his wardrobe, I saw that it had been neatly arranged. But because Kash had searched through it in a hurry, everything was slightly disturbed.
"Oh wow. Does Iris not keep your things organized?" I asked in confusion.
"Actually, I am just surprised that she has suddenly become so busy. She does not even go to the office. I thought she at least took care of the room," I commented nonchalantly.
Immediately, I found the tie Kash was looking for.
"Here," I said, turning around and smiling at him.
As he reached for it, I pulled the tie back. He frowned when he saw my action.
"Do you remember how, when we were dating, I used to bring you different kinds of ties?" I asked, holding on to the moment.
If I had not spent my life competing to be queen, I would not have had to beg for attention. By now, I might have even thrown Zoe and lady Vivian out of the house.
But it had all been my fault.
"Yes, I remember. I still have them. They are in the old closet," Kash replied, smiling at me for the first time.
That was a huge change for me.
I began moving around the room restlessly.
"Of course. My things would be in the old closet now. But it is okay. I cannot complain," I said with a faint sigh.
"Anyway, I should get ready or I will be late," Kash excused himself.
The unfortunate part was that even this little time he gave me meant everything to me. I craved those small moments with him.
On the other hand, there was Iris, who had Kash entirely, yet she seemed more concerned about Luca.
She kept defending him even after such a serious kidnapping and after all the lies he had told.
Then there were those children, always at the center of everyone’s attention. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
What surprised me the most was how Iris was ignoring how strange it looked to everyone that she had suddenly grown so close to Markus.
Since Kash had clearly said he wanted to be alone, I had to leave the room.
Just then, my father started calling, and my heart began to pound rapidly. I knew exactly what he wanted to talk about.
He was going to ask about the children.
