Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 312-In His Lap
Iris:
Kash fed me with his own hands, and for a while, I just wanted to sit quietly and enjoy it.
When we finished eating, we sat together on the couch, and I rested my head on his shoulder. He had already instructed his warriors to stain his belt with blood and leave it there so that everyone would think he had punished me.
Even while explaining it, there was sadness on his face. He hated even imagining that he had hurt me.
While he held my hand gently, I uttered to him in a soft voice.
"I am pregnant."
My words made his heart race. I lifted my head from his chest and looked into his eyes. He stared back at me in shock.
"What?" he asked instantly, cupping my face in his hands.
"I found out today after you left me here. That is why I have been so emotional these past few days," I explained.
He pulled me into a tight hug.
"Ouch," I protested when I realized he was holding me a little too tightly.
He laughed as he pulled back, then cupped my face again.
"You have given me the best news of my life," he said with a smile before kissing me on the lips and then on my forehead.
Kash was so happy that within minutes he had filled the entire place with his laughter. Sometimes he would lift me and spin me around in circles. Other times, he would shout with joy and run a few steps like a child.
When he finally grew tired, he came back and sat beside me. He gently stroked my chin.
"You know, I missed the chance to be part of your pregnancy before. But this time, I want it to be special for you," he whispered.
I noticed a hint of sadness in his tone, and I knew why. He was probably upset because he had to follow the plan and stay away from me for a while. None of us knew for how long.
I knew that was what made him restless. I took his hand and moved closer to him, then settled into his lap.
"Soon we will be together again, and this time we will fully enjoy this pregnancy," I said with a wide smile.
"How is Zoe?" I asked, remembering her innocent face.
"Of course she is upset," Kash replied, gently running his fingertips up and down my cheek.
"It is not easy for her to realize that her mate has been such a scumbag," he explained.
His words made me take a deep breath and turn my face away from him for a moment.
Flashback:
"I do not understand. What am I looking at?" Zoe’s voice shook as she spoke.
Of course, she had already seen what we were showing her. But the fear in her eyes told me she was struggling to accept the truth.
"We just want you to know that in a few days they will act on this mission," Kash told her.
She began to sniffle.
"How can he do this to me? How can Lara do this to me? My husband is having a baby with another woman, and she is hiding it so she can use it against your mate."
Zoe broke down instantly. Honestly, it was not her fault. The way he behaved, and the way Lara and Markus ignored Zoe’s emotions and treated everything like a game, made her grief and anger justified.
We sat her down and explained everything, how we would pretend to have differences and how she would have to hate me for some time.
After a long conversation, Zoe moved from Kash’s side and came to stand in front of me.
"I am so ashamed of myself for ever hurting you," she confessed, making Kash look at her in shock.
"It is true, brother. Mom and I used to abuse her. It was not just verbal or emotional. I pushed her around, burned her hands and..."
Zoe stopped, covering her mouth with her hands.
"That is why I have been punished in the worst way. So many years with a mate and no child. Now I realize he probably never even intended to have a baby with me."
She paused again, struggling to breathe.
"I found out everything," Kash said, and we both turned to him.
"I did my investigation that day. It was Lara who sent Iris that text message. Then you and Mother kicked her out."
There was anger and sadness in his voice.
"Brother, I..." Zoe tried to speak, but Kash raised his hand.
"You are only spared because of Iris, Zoe. Do not expect me to forgive you."
He got up from the bed and walked to stand near the window.
I had noticed for some time that he knew something. He tried to act as if everything was normal, but every now and then I saw him look at his mother and sister with disappointment.
Now that the truth was out, he no longer felt the need to hide it.
"The fact that you did not even consider how much pain I was in being separated from my love proves that your anger and hatred for her were stronger than your love for me," Kash finished.
Zoe rushed toward him and tried to hold his hand, but he stepped away again.
"For now, let us focus on the mission," he said dryly.
End of flashback.
"Kash, did you forgive her?" I asked, touching his chin and brushing my fingers over his nose and face.
"It was a huge betrayal when they treated you badly. I do not know how you forgave them, but it will take me some time," he replied in a low voice, his tone shifting whenever I mentioned his mother and sister.
"Time has passed, and your sister has truly redeemed herself. It is not as if she is not suffering enough. She is being punished for everything, Kash. Her entire life has fallen apart. When all this ends, she will have to start over." I sighed, feeling bad for her.
"As for your mother, I cannot say anything. I cannot forgive her for now," I mumbled, trying to be honest with him.
"I completely understand your decision. After this is over, I will get them a new mansion. Even if it is right beside ours, I will do it so that the four walls of our mansion belong to only you and you are safe there. I do not want my mother around for now," he replied, making me rest my head on his chest because I knew soon he would be gone.
