An Extra Villain in Cultivation World-Chapter 52: Clingy Lingling
Xuanyan stood there for a moment after Yanmei disappeared down the corridor. He exhaled slowly, rubbing his palm once against his robe as if that might ground him, then turned toward the room Yanmei had indicated.
Lingling’s room-
The scent was the first thing anyone would notice. Sandalwood, faint but constant, laced with the sharper bitterness of medicinal herbs. A bronze incense burner shaped as a coiled serpent rested on a low table, a thin ribbon of smoke curling from its mouth, twisting upward in slow, deliberate spirals.
Xuanyan stepped deeper into the room, his gaze searching anxiously for Lingling but there was still no sign of her. Against the far wall, a slender bed crafted from dark spirit-wood caught his eye, its surface gleaming softly with a muted lustre. Above it, a line of carefully pinned talismans fluttered gently, their yellow paper inscribed with ink that shimmered subtly as the light danced across them.
Then he noticed the second chamber ahead, separated only by a pale, fabric-hanging screen. His steps slowed as he passed through it.
In the centre of the room, Lingling sat with her legs folded neatly beneath her, her back perfectly straight, hands resting gently on her knees. Her breathing was calm, measured a sign of deep cultivation.
She didn’t seem to notice his presence, nor did Xuanyan attempt to distract her. Silently, he slipped into the corner, leaned against the wall, and settled in to wait.
Minutes passed, then after a while, his patience finally broke. Without hesitation, he moved swiftly toward Lingling, sitting behind her. He gazed at her back, hesitating for only a few seconds before placing both hands on her back.

A surge of pure Qi burst from his body into hers, flowing smoothly and overpoweringly, flooding her meridians effortlessly. Lingling stiffened—just slightly—as she recognised the signature of that energy. She realised who was behind her the moment Xuanyan entered her room, but she couldn’t stop her cultivation now; redirecting her Qi could cause a backlash, and she had already spent so much time and resources regaining her strength.
She fought the urge to turn around and slap him a few hits, but instead she leaned into the energy, guiding it instinctively. "Idiot," she thought bitterly, even as relief flooded her. Why are you wasting this on me? You need it more than me.
Her heartbeat refused to slow, thudding unevenly against her ribs as if it were trying to escape her chest altogether. From the moment she heard about bounty hunters, her pulse betrayed her, quickening despite her effort to remain composed at the possibility of loosing him–somthing she couldn’t imagine. She didn’t want to lose her first love, especially not like this.
Lingling has seen many Daoists lose their partners before reaching maturity. Even her father died too early in life, leaving her mom alone, despite the fact that people can live hundreds of years if they cultivate diligently.
Lingling had made up her mind: this time, she wouldn’t take her eyes off brother Xuanyan until she convinced herself that he was strong enough to defend himself. Otherwise, she will beat the crap out of him, if this scoundrel junior brother tries to go anywhere.
Instead of dwelling on the past, she pushed herself to cultivate more diligently. After some time, Lingling suddenly stopped her cultivation, spun around instantly and threw herself into his arms, wrapping her hands around his waist with unexpected firmness. Fingers clutching the back of his rope as if afraid he might vanish if she loosened her grip. Her forehead pressed into his chest, and Xuanyan could feel a faint tremor, her attempt–and struggle–to hide her vulnerability.
Brother Xuanyan—!" "You’re late," she said, voice muffled, stubbornly calm in words alone. "Do you know how annoying you are?"
Xuanyan didn’t respond, as he didn’t think it was his fault for her current predicament and understood that words alone wouldn’t suffice. He needed to demonstrate his intentions through actions. Xuanyan raised his hands and rested it on her back: her soft long hair touch his fingers, as he began rubbing her back in a slow, deliberate rhythm. "I got a little delayed cause someone gets jealous of our relationship" he said lightly. "It just made me realise how truly special you are to me."
She sniffed harshly before pulling back just enough to glare at him—eyes red, lashes damp. The intensity of her stare waned almost immediately. "Don’t ever joke about that," she muttered, then leaned forward again, forehead bumping into his chest this time. "I thought... I really thought—" Her words tangled and stopped before they could come out from mouth.
Lingling hesitated, then nodded against him, as if confirming it for herself. Her hands loosened slightly but didn’t let go. "...Yanmei said you were fine," she admitted. "But she always says things like that. Like nothing ever goes wrong in this accrued world."
Xuanyan : ^_^
They both sat in silence, held in each other’s embrace for a long time, until finally Lingling gently pulled back, her fingers softly lingering on his sleeve. She looked up at him, eyes filled with concern and tenderness as she tried to memorize every detail of his face. "Promise me you’ll always stay by my side until you reach Qi Condensation Stage 9. No she immediately stopped herself, I still can’t fully trust you on that—you need to reach Foundation Establishment first. Did you hear me, Brother Xuanyan?"
Xuanyan, seeing her anxious face finally nodded with a smile on his face, and she really looks so cute right now he thought and subconsciously his face moved forward, his lips touched her softly tasting her soft lips,
Lingling lets out a surprised squeak as Xuanyan lips suddenly claim her in a searing kiss. Ahh..a soft moan tore from her, brother... She melts into the embrace, parting her lips to grant Xuanyan access to her tongue.
Xuanyan explore every inch of her sweet mouth, tasting her essence as she whimpers needily.
Breaking away with a gasp, Lingling hand tightened more firmly against Xuanyan rope, her cheeks flushed and chest heaving.
Lingling moved again more eagerly to feel his kiss again but Xuanyan back away. Her eyes widened, wounded for a heartbeat.
It was a promise Xuanyan said, voice low. "Sealed with a kiss." Lingling smile brightened more, after hearing that she shifted closer, "brother Xuanyan."Then do it properly next time,"
