An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me-Chapter 182: Realizations come with pain
Riven shot forward like a bullet, his speed so fast that Luke could barely react. Luke stretched out his hands and tendrils shot out in all directions—an area of effect attack to take down Riven.
But Riven was too fast, dodging every one easily. He leaped into the air, got a perfect shot lined up, and then he used it—Flame Blast.
The attack hurled through the air and slammed straight into Luke. The explosion followed, and his body was hurled across the forest like a sack of potatoes.
Riven landed on the ground. Not wasting a single moment, he shot forward.
"I have to stop being sorry for myself, being a pathetic sack of meat. My past life is no longer me," Riven muttered. He smashed his blade in rapid succession, firing flame arcs, each one hitting Luke, and an explosion followed.
"I’m Riven Von Grave, and it’s time I finally stop being a fucking trauma ball," Riven said. He was tired of himself, tired of the fact that every single time, he blamed himself for things he had no control over.
His past on Earth, and his life here. Sure, he was the one that made Luke not get into the academy, but Luke wasn’t strong enough, Riven was.
It was never Riven’s fault that Luke was weak, so even if part of it was Riven’s fault, he wasn’t going to allow it to be a distraction.
"I’m tired of saying sorry all the time, so no more apologies for the way I live, no more," Riven said, his eyes narrowing into slits, burning blue with flames as he leaped into the air.
"Inferno Domain!" he called out as the domain formed, encompassing Luke. He locked eyes with Luke, who was riddled with serious burns, and without a word, he used Flame Blast.
The size of the attack was several times bigger. The flame burned the air around, it shined like a small sun.
BOOOOOOOOM
The attack landed. The explosion followed—massive and completely destructive, leaving a huge crater and a completely burnt-up Luke in the middle of it.
Riven landed on the ground and deactivated his state of "The One Loved by Chaos" with only ten seconds left.
As he did, the pain from the wound in his stomach returned. He gritted his teeth, and without choice, he stretched out his hand toward the body of the boy that had been killed, and the boy’s blood flowed out and wrapped around Riven’s hand before moving to heal his wounds completely.
Sofia was stunned when she saw Riven use blood, but she didn’t say anything. She knew that since he had never shown it before, it meant he was hiding it, so she would help him keep it that way.
She ran over to him and grabbed him. "Are you alright?" she asked, her voice slightly quivering, she was really worried for him.
"I’m fine," he responded, and she followed up with a hug immediately, a tight hug around his neck. But as her head rested on his shoulder, her eyes widened, panic written on her face. She spun around immediately.
Riven was confused why, but the realization also hit when he turned, but it was too late.
STAB
A tendril stabbed through Sofia, her lower back and into her abdomen. The tendril pulled out and returned back to Luke, who was standing there, his charred body slowly healing.
Riven looked at Sofia in shock. He was frozen in place with her in his arms, blood pouring from her body endlessly and a little from her mouth. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Somehow, she smiled at him rather than grimace in pain. She looked him right in the eye, and for the first time, Riven didn’t see a calm and calculated gaze or a cold glare, he saw a genuine soft light in her eyes. Eyes that a girl would have when she was truly happy.
"Y...you owe me," she managed to say with a smile before she collapsed. Riven held her, refusing to let her fall. The blood had stained him, but he refused to let go.
Her heart was still beating, there was still time. He had to take her away. He held her in one hand and took off his uniform top with the other, ripping it with his teeth and hand, then using it to tie her up quickly.
He knew she needed treatment immediately, but there was no way he could walk away if Luke was standing there.
"You aren’t going to die, I promise. I’ll get you out of this place even if it kills me, I promise you, Sofia," he said, eyes red and hands shaking as he ran his finger across her face.
He placed her down by a tree and took out a low-grade healing potion, the only one he had and fed it to her. It wouldn’t heal her, but it would help, and he needed all the help he could get now.
When he was done, he gripped his sword and turned to face Luke, who was half-healed now.
Luke looked him in the eyes. "Look at her..... bleeding like trash because of you, everything you touch turns to rot" Luke said.
"ENOUGH!" Riven roared, his voice stunning even Luke.
"You did this. This wasn’t about me, you just love screams, You’re a sick monster" Riven spat. He looked up slowly, gripping his sword tighter.
"But you crossed the line when you touched her. I’ll burn heaven and hell for those I love, because I will not stand to lose them," he said.
"Hahahahaha, are you done crying? Or should of wait while you write me a poem, huh?" Luke taunted and began laughing.
"I’ll kill you," Riven said.
BOOM.
He vanished—activating the remaining ten seconds of his ability. He moved extremely fast. This time Luke couldn’t even respond at all. All he saw was a blade come out of nowhere for his neck.
And behind that blade were two blazing eyes, and the only thing Luke could think of at that moment was:
"Devil."
