Ancient Tears BloodLine-Chapter 1447: News circulates
Star University Office
Dean Jerome was thinking about Zack Lockwood. He was also aware that injured warriors had returned from Warrior Camp 5.
Soon, the injured warriors from Camp 4 would be returning as well. He had to select warriors for their replacement.
The reports from both camps involved Zack Lockwood. Jerome thought it would only be a matter of time before the warriors shared the news with others.
Soon, the news would spread across the campus. Then it would spread to the city, and slowly to other cities.
He knew he couldn't block the news. He believed Zack Lockwood had participated in enough battles within the warrior camps by now.
He should be used to it at this point. Jerome was aware of Zack Lockwood's bloodline inheritance as well; no one could defeat Zack Lockwood at the same rank.
The battle reports suggested that Zack Lockwood had slain Gold Mark Level Foreign Creatures easily.
As long as a Purple Mark Level Creature did not appear, basically no one could harm Zack Lockwood. That was why Jerome expected Zack Lockwood to solve the trouble inside the warrior camp.
He had spoken to Supervisor Melody earlier. He didn't want her to stop the fight because the news of the planted spies was important.
He wanted the spies to reveal themselves, so he ordered her not to interfere in their fights unless someone faced a do-or-die crisis.
...
A few days later,
The injured warriors returned to the campus a few hours later. They used the medical facility there, and everyone was lying in their respective rooms.
The foreign creatures had hit them hard. It would take time for them to recover, but there were people who didn't mind the injuries.
They started talking about the warrior camps with their friends and families. During their stay at the warrior camps, they hadn't had time to chat.
They discussed Zack Lockwood. Soon, stories about Zack Lockwood appeared in online posts. It didn't take long for people to notice them.
At first, people didn't believe it because the stories seemed exaggerated. One story said Zack Lockwood had single-handedly won the battle.
Another story said that Zack Lockwood had killed more than 100 foreign creatures in a single fight.
Yet another story described how Zack Lockwood remained undefeated after the battle. He was not injured at all, and everyone had witnessed this.
Since the stories were posted by injured warriors in the medical facility, the people who knew them were conflicted.
Still, most people didn't believe it because they hadn't seen it with their own eyes. It was something unbelievable even for warriors who had been there before.
But they knew one thing: it was because of Zack Lockwood that they were able to save their lives. Consequently, they began removing hateful content online and promoted his story instead.
It didn't take long for the warriors in the top ten Factions to take notice. They were shocked after reading the posts.
The posts were written by their own people, so they could not be dismissed. Soon, the news reached the ears of the main elders of the different factions.
They saw those posts as well, and everyone wore a solemn face. Zack Lockwood had a good record to begin with.
If the news were true, the foreign creature side would not remain silent. There would surely be a major assassination plot.
...
Thunderflame Faction
Leader Clifford convened a meeting. He had seen the online posts as well. Furthermore, injured warriors from Camp 5 and Camp 4 had returned.
A few of them were from the Thunderflame Faction.
Main Elder Austin and the others started coming in and took their seats.
A few minutes later, once everyone had gathered, Clifford looked at them.
"Okay, everyone. Is the news true?" Clifford asked.
"It's true. Zack is doing well. Apparently, no one is his match. Especially the foreign creatures, they are finding it hard to kill him," Austin said.
"The posts may seem exaggerated from the outside, but there is truth to them. I think the foreign creatures have recognized Zack Lockwood and started targeting him."
"But he was able to survive that," Ann said in a serious tone.
"I had the same thought. Everyone says it is exaggerated, but it is not. The kid is being targeted. The other warriors are not helping him at all," Leola added seriously.
"Then there is something wrong with those warriors. They are purposely not helping Zack Lockwood. We should lodge a complaint," Cathy said from the side.
She was in a bad mood because one of the injured warriors was a member of her palace. Her palace member had recounted everything to her.
Rosie sighed inwardly. This was unexpected. The foreign creatures would not let go of such an opportunity.
"But there is a much more serious thing. That kid was attacked by warriors on the same side of the battlefield."
"According to the supervisors of those camps, they were all planted spies from the foreign creature side. Zack was able to kill them as well," Clifford said.
Gasp!
"Fortunately, he can fight across ranks. He won't have any problems as long as he remains in the camp," Austin said.
Hearing that, the others agreed. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

Dark Variant Faction
Leader Vince was discussing the same thing with his main elders. Though Zack Lockwood was not from their faction, he represented the Thunderflame Faction.
They wanted to weaken the Thunderflame Faction, and to do that, they felt they had to eliminate Zack Lockwood.
Though Leader Vince didn't explain his intentions openly, the main elders had long since known about them.
Their leader wanted Zack Lockwood dead, even if he never said it out loud.
Vince frowned. The reports were too shocking to him. He saw the online posts and then received reports from the injured warriors.
It was clear that the kid was being targeted by the foreign creatures, both on the battlefield and in the camp. When he heard about the planted spies, he thought the kid's days were numbered.
Yet, the kid was able to survive in one camp, and now he had entered Camp 4.
Vince felt that the current threat was not enough. He decided to share this information with other forces, thinking they would add oil to the fire.
