Chapter 903: Fight

"You are so embarrassing!"

"Fuck you, Iskandar!"

The people were completely enraged. They were already so confident in smearing Clovis’ name, but when the evidence was presented, they lost face completely.

Even General Halcom realized he had just prejudiced someone without much thought. Even though he didn’t say anything, General Halcom slightly lowered his head to Clovis as a sign of apology.

Clovis noticed it and just raised his hand as if he were treating it as not a big deal.

Rose was completely in a bind. She was supposed to be the host of a sparring match, not a freaking court battle. She never thought that there would be accusations and evidence presented in a sparring match.

And she wasn’t a judge, so she couldn’t deliver the verdict. In fact, even if she were the judge, she would probably be too embarrassed to give the verdict.

"You are a liar. You are fabricating the evidence." Iskandar shouted while pointing his finger. "I will destroy that fake evidence."

Without wasting any more seconds, Iskandar leaped forward, trying to snatch the recorder.

Clovis smiled and pulled his hand away before sending forth a kick.

Iskandar’s punch met Clovis’ kick. There was a trace of killing intent on his foot, and it clashed with the sudden burst of power from Iskandar’s fist.

The two unique abilities clashed and ended up neutralizing each other.

"Kya?!" Rose was startled, not expecting the fight to break out so suddenly. However, Clovis skillfully stopped the attack while pulling Rose to his side, shielding her from the burst of Iskandar’s power.

"You know exactly whether this evidence is true or not." Clovis smiled. He glanced at Rose while whispering, "You alright?"

Rose nodded while glancing to both sides carefully.

Clovis didn’t want to just protect Rose. He also wanted to get control of the mic. This way, he could continue, "Well, that’s just the voice. Do you want the video? Even if you destroy this piece of evidence, do you think I will be so foolish as not to prepare any backup?"

Iskandar gritted his teeth and shouted, "Then, you have to pay the price of breaking the contract!"

"I haven’t broken any contracts." Clovis shrugged.

"You have. It’s clear you are not allowed to talk about it."

"So, you admitted there was such a contract?!"

"That’s... I mean, according to the fabricated evidence you brought."

Clovis only rolled his eyes. Everyone could figure out whether it was a fake or not based on his reaction alone.

Clovis sighed. "Well, I still follow the NDA. However, there’s nothing that stops you from talking about it. Look, it’s not me. It’s you and your father. So..." Clovis shrugged with a smug smile as if challenging him by saying, ’What are you going to do about it?’ 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Iskandar’s father, Lukman, gritted his teeth. He had underestimated Clovis. In fact, no one would expect Clovis to have this kind of evidence. How in the world did he acquire this kind of evidence in the first place?

It was supposed to be a perfect plan. Their biggest miscalculation was Clovis’ ability. There was supposed to be no trace of the Dark Moon Mercenary. In fact, the Dark Moon Mercenary was supposed to be unable to achieve such a feat.

There might be a much more powerful organization that helped Clovis acquire this piece of evidence.

Still, the one who had the worst headache was actually not Lukman, it was the president.

"What?" The president couldn’t attend the sparring match directly, but she still watched the live broadcast. When everything happened, she had mixed feelings.

Even the ministers who came with her were dumbfounded.

Some of them just covered their faces as if they couldn’t bear the shame. They thought it was just going to be a sparring match, not a comedy show.

"This is even worse than our worst scenario, right?" One minister asked helplessly.

"I don’t know how it is even possible in the first place. But with this, the relationship with the Anatas family will be sour, and we can’t predict how it’s going to be. Besides, the slander will also sour the relationship with the Libation Fiesta."

The best scenario would be a normal sparring match where they would respect each other whether they won or not. However, they had prepared to let one of them turn sour in the worst-case scenario.

They just didn’t expect that the situation would go beyond their imagination.

"The Anatas family is so embarrassing." One minister scoffed.

"But they’re our chance to have a future Tier 9 human!" Another minister chimed in.

Some of them were arguing, as there were people who wanted the Anatas family to stay. This was necessary if they wanted to maintain their status as a superpower.

The president was massaging her forehead, trying to figure out how to handle the problem.

Meanwhile, the tension in the stadium had reached its peak. Iskandar couldn’t withstand any more pressure and exploded.

"I want you to die!" Iskandar’s eyes turned bloodshot as he rushed to Clovis. It turned out he was able to use the triple bursts on his feet instead of just his offensive abilities.

Clovis tilted his body sideways to avoid the attack before spinning his body and landing his kick on Iskandar. Iskandar was faster than him, so he immediately switched his stance and smashed Clovis’ calf.

Clovis, however, activated his Abyss State and sped up. He knocked his own foot down with his elbow before spinning his body and kicking Iskandar away with his other foot.

Iskandar got hit, but with Clovis’ stance, he couldn’t muster enough power to injure him. He only managed to push Iskandar back.

Clovis first turned his head to Rose and General Halcom, giving them a few words. After that, Clovis grabbed his sword’s handle for the first time.

"Well, I guess there’s no need to hold back anymore." Clovis grinned. As he drew his blade, a massive amount of killing intent was released, shaking the entire stadium.

General Halcom wanted to stop them, but Rose asked, "General Halcom. Did I hear him right earlier? He told us, ’I don’t plan to kill anyone today,’ right?"
