Hearing the shot, Jun expected at least one person down. However, the moment he came close enough, he realized he had been fooled.

Christina had stopped the bullet, and it looked like Clovis’ team had prepared themselves for this.

"Aoo!" Reolf let out a loud howl, which made the beasts aware of the incoming people and treated them as enemies.

The beasts knew nothing of their affiliation. Since they were humans, the beasts started charging at them.

Before Jun could react, Kanaria finally released the Soul Weapon.

"Watch out!" Jun shouted.

The people had jumped away before Kanaria even pulled the trigger, but the bullet was like a cannon. Upon impact, it released a massive force that blasted at least four enemies.

They were not dead, but they didn’t escape unscathed either.

Christina activated her unique ability, making Jun and his team unable to leave this place.

"!!!" Jun finally realized it was a trap. They were already aware of their group and had been waiting for this attack.

"Snipers!" Jun called out the snipers, but there was no response.

"Huu..." Rin took a deep breath before grabbing a bunch of arrows from her quiver. She then tossed it into the air, which fell down systematically.

She raised her hand. The moment an arrow fell into her hand, she would draw the bow and fire it. She did this in rapid succession, firing an arrow as if it were a semi-automatic.

Her target was the people that Jun brought. The arrows packed a lot of punch since Rin was already a Tier 7 human with items from Another World Mall.

Half of them managed to block it easily, but the other half struggled a bit. Some even had to avoid it entirely, which stopped their momentum.

The arrow was not losing power with Kanaria’s Soul Weapon. The dust was kicked up on impact.

Unfortunately for them, they became the target of Aileen, who had caught up with them after eliminating the two snipers. She used the dust cloud as cover and killed one member before erasing her presence again.

"Christina. Take care." Clovis muttered as he released all his killing intent. The Tier 8 beast was trying to get him or Christina, but Ragna immediately stepped forward.

Bam!

Ragna’s physique might not be as good as Christina’s due to his special physique, but Ezekiel’s training had improved his physique tremendously. Coupled with Christina’s defensive technique, Ragna managed to block the Tier 8 beast’s attack by himself.

Then, Jay gathered all his power into his swing, forcing the beast to back off unless it wanted to die. Luci would be there to assist, but more importantly, she was informing Jay’s the beast’s weaknesses.

On the other hand, Jun had no choice but to challenge Clovis directly.

Knowing that the ambush had failed, he had to use the chaotic situation to kill Clovis.

Both he and Clovis struck each other with their weapons. It looked like Jun was holding the same weapon as Jay’s, which made Clovis feel familiar with the way he used it.

Nevertheless, Jun had a superior physique as a Tier 8 human. In addition, he also had all the momentum.

Clovis used his Abyss State to the limit, but that wasn’t enough to bypass the gap between Tier 6 and Tier 8 humans, especially with the fact that Jun also used his pseudo-unique ability.

Jun’s ability was connected to his muscles. He was able to control his muscle’s strength. It was simple but effective.

By adjusting the muscle’s strength, he was able to unleash 200% of his original power.

It might lose to the unique ability that Iskandar possessed, but Jun was a Tier 8 human.

So, Clovis had no way to stop this attack directly.

"Clovis!" Christina called him, but there were three people surrounding her. She wouldn’t be able to help Clovis with them around.

Jun smirked. "Too weak!"

Clovis’ expression turned grim. He indeed had a hard time keeping up with Jun’s strength, but it didn’t mean he planned to lose.

Clovis raised his leg as if he were about to kick his stomach to get Jun away, but Jun had seen it coming and leaped into the air first.

To stop Clovis from moving, Jun hurriedly swung his blade downward, sending a ranged attack that would pin Clovis to the ground.

Clovis rolled sideways to avoid this attack as the impact of the ranged attack kicked up some dirt.

"You won’t get away!" Jun had started falling, so he wouldn’t hesitate to come back to Clovis to crush him again.

However, Clovis was different this time. When he was hidden inside the dust cloud, Clovis had taken out two things. The first one was the food that boosted his strength by 20%.

The second item was none other than the medicine from the pharmacy. It was more accurate to say it was a steroid because it increased his strength and speed by 20% at the same time.

"What?" Jun and the others were startled, but that was just the beginning of their surprise.

Suddenly, Jay overpowered the Tier 8 beast because of the sudden increase in strength, which caused the beast to be unprepared for that level of strength.

The same applied to all other people.

"Aaahhh!" There were screams. Aileen had overpowered her next target. Christina had smashed her opponent’s head with her shield. Reolf had also bitten one of them after mingling with other beasts before taking one by surprise.

"You..." Jun was horrified. The plan that was supposed to be perfect ended up backfiring really hard.
