Bellatrix smiled and then asked, "Do you wish to be my personal student, young lady?"
Irene nodded her head directly and then said, "That has been my wish since the first day I conversed with you, my lady, thanks to Lady Cordelia. Forgive me, I was unable to fulfil the task you gave me."
Bellatrix smiled for a few seconds when she heard those words and then giggled and patted Irene on the head.
Neither Atlas nor Irene could understand what was going on.
"I gave you a chance to push your limits. Do you think I don’t know how powerful Atlas is? He has unimaginable potential, he could kill you in maybe three seconds. Yet you, Irene, dared to choose to push your limits, even though he was your best friend and you really cared about him."
As Bellatrix began to speak, everyone began to listen intently:
"You can be sure, the same thing happened to me. When Lady Cordelia took me under her wing tens of thousands of years ago, she recognised my brilliance in our fights with Cain. You may be a shy girl, but I wanted to see the result of your courage."
With each of Bellatrix’s words, Atlas was getting more and more relaxed. All these words, of course, were enough to tell not only him, but every single person in the coliseum that Bellatrix already wanted to take Irene as her student.
"I’m going to take you as my personal student. Now tell me again," Bellatrix said and then stroked Irene’s hair and added, "Do you accept this offer?"
Irene nodded her head up and down as she heard this question and then replied, "If my lady sees fit, it would be the greatest honour I could ever receive."
With that, Bellatrix smiled and then turned to the audience in the coliseum seats and spoke:
"From this day forward, I, Bellatrix Karlene, Sage of Seals, take Irene Luis as my first and last personal student. I announce it to the whole world. Anyone who messes with Irene Luis or any of her loved ones in any way will find me!"
With that, cheers instantly began to rise around the coliseum and Bellatrix turned towards Atlas and said, "Good job."
Atlas scratched his head as if he didn’t care about anything anymore and then said, "Please just send us back to the waiting room." the two were instantly teleported back to the waiting room.
Atlas was still trying to comprehend what had just happened when Irene suddenly gave him a big hug and said, "Hahaha! Atlas today is my second happiest day ever!!!"
Atlas smiled and then patted Irene on the head and hugged her back.
Indeed, he didn’t even need to say how happy he was for his beloved friend.
Irene, who had died for him in her previous life, was still moving forward with that bright smile on her face.
She, who had become one of the most powerful alchemists in history on her own, was wondering what kind of person she would become with Bellatrix’s help.
In just five minutes, another first year had become the sixth Sage’s personal student.,
"Oh yeah? What’s the happiest first day ever? What could be better than that?" questioned Atlas playfully.
Irene, as if she was so intoxicated with happiness that she didn’t even know what she was saying, uttered the following words:
"The first day I spoke to you, of course!"
Atlas couldn’t help but smile when he heard those words. His best friend from his old life was still his best friend.
"Well, I am happy for that. Thank you." Atlas said, and then, just as he was about to rest, a woman appeared in the room.
"Lady Cordelia," Atlas muttered instantly.
"I came to look for you, you can’t be tired, but I don’t think you have any reason to fight anymore."
Atlas was the most surprised when Cordelia suddenly appeared in the room and uttered those words.
"Did something happen?" Atlas questioned.
"I can give you the necessary rewards. Just in case you’re trying to prove yourself." Cordelia added in her own words.
With these statements, everything became clear. Cordelia was telling Atlas to go and continue his education. However, Atlas had already progressed too far.
"You know the reasons I’m doing this, at least a few of them. And...we’re already in the final round, almost everyone in this room has been eliminated. It would make more sense to go ahead and finish it quickly. Am I right?" Atlas complained.
Cordelia patted Atlas on the head after these words and then said, "If that’s what you want, fine...However, after the duel with Aster, there is no one left who wants to fight with you. Only Camellya herself...The others do not want to lose their honour by fighting and being defeated, as you can understand."
Atlas shook his head and said, "So I made it to the final, did I?"
"What do you mean?" Cordelia asked in surprise, and Atlas smiled and replied, "We both know that there is no one who can beat Camellia."
"Sometimes, I do not like you being this smart." Cordelia smiled so sincerely that her teeth showed and then playfully squeezed Atlas’ cheek softly.
"I love you too master, do not worry about it," Atlas replied which made Cordelia smile even more.
Cordelia looked at Irene, who was immediately hugging Atlas and said, "Hmmm...I think I should tell Cassandra." and left the room.
Irene looked at Atlas with a strange expression when she heard these words, and then Lucia, one of the triplet sisters, said in a normal voice, "Aunt Cassandra is obsessed with Atlas, she keeps saying that she wants to get married or something."
Irene looked at Atlas with her mouth open and Atlas shrugged his shoulders softly and said, "Believe me, I don’t know how it happened, I don’t have such feelings, but it does feel good to be loved you know." then he moved to one of the armchairs in the room to wait.
The waiting period had begun. From now on, Atlas was really going to stay here until the final.
