Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 133: Lawless Zone (2)
Chapter 133: Lawless Zone (2)
Of course, love had stayed in his previous life and he didn’t care about it now...He just wanted to make sure that woman was okay and at the same time, he wished to save the boy with his left arm.
"Dear Goddess...Please let one of them be here...I beg you," Atlas prayed inwardly.
Atlas began to increase the power of the Holy Mother and Sacred Flames abilities inside his body, which he had dimmed, and the colourful but at the same time light-proof auras overflowing from his body began to grow larger and larger.
At that moment, he slowly opened the door of the building he was in front of, and then looked at the people on the ground floor one by one.
Those who saw Atlas’s frightening appearance, seriously resembling a demon out of a nightmare, dropped their weapons. Some had pissed their pants and were literally locked in shock.
Atlas observed each of them one by one with his observation ability, even though his mana was diminishing, and saw that only two people inside had positive karma.
In just seconds, with his magic, he grabbed each person with negative karma by the throat and knocked each of them unconscious, not allowing them to breathe.
After throwing each of them out of the building one by one, he looked at the duo with positive karma standing on the ground floor and said, "You are safe now."
The duo’s bodies were covered with wounds. It was not necessary to be a genius to realise that they were slaves.
However, Atlas had taken a few of the soldiers who entered the building with him. He had sent a group of almost fifteen people upstairs and started to direct the seven people he took behind him to the lower floor of the building, towards the basement.
With each step he took, he could hear the sound of crying coming from downstairs.
With each passing second, he wished that both of them were here, and even if they were not, he hoped that the young man he had come here to rescue was alright.
After a short while, Atlas reached the door to the basement. The seven soldiers behind him swallowed and, to put it bluntly, started to get scared.
Atlas raised his hand and with a single punch, he broke the magically sealed door.
As he stepped inside, dozens of women and men began to run towards him.
"Ice Forest," Atlas said suddenly.
With that, the whole room froze from end to end. Each person, each enemy that Atlas wanted to freeze, stayed where they were one by one and died within minutes.
Atlas started walking again.
He was lucky. A few of the angel worshippers had managed to resist. It was good news that the people who had originally set up the lawless zone had survived but had been wounded.
They were not strong, but they were very good manipulators. They were so good at mindwashing that everything was incredibly easy for them.
If the devil worshippers solved everything with their overwhelming power, the angel worshippers used deception and mindwashing, that is, they approached things with a slightly more pacifist solution than the others.
Atlas instantly froze each of them in their heads.
Ice Forest ability. It was an ice spell of average power, cast with the fifth magic ring. It was usually used to freeze the muscles of monsters, or if that wasn’t possible, to freeze their limbs, slowing and hindering them.
Depending on the mage’s strength, this allowed him to show how he could use the ice that came out of this spell on his enemies.
So Atlas could have tried to kill everyone like he had just done if he wanted to, after all, he didn’t need any information from the angel worshippers, he already knew almost every single action...Still, it wouldn’t hurt to be prepared.
That’s why he froze every one of them from head to toe but didn’t let them die. The dark ice surrounded them just as it did the room, but they were still moving their eyes in the ice and watching what was happening. novelbuddy.cσ๓
Atlas looked at the cages around him one by one. He couldn’t see his precious left arm...or the love of his life.
Yet dozens of slaves were locked inside the cages. Each of them stared at Atlas and feared his demon-like appearance.
At that moment, Atlas turned down his aura abilities as much as possible and his handsome face was revealed.
He broke the doors of the ice-covered cages one by one and then turned to the soldiers and said, "Treat them well. They have already suffered enough." He gave a firm order.
The number of soldiers in the huge basement exceeded thirty, with other soldiers starting to descend downstairs, and the slaves began to be gently carried out.
At that moment, Atlas noticed the door at the far end of the room.
Spreading his mana around, he easily realised that there were several people in the room, but each of them was in a single cage.
With that, he threw his hand on the door handle opened the unlocked door and went inside.
At that moment, he saw them.
He could see them in the cage.
Even the young man he thought he would surely find and the woman he hoped to find were in the cage.
Atlas slowly made his way towards the cage. As soon as he touched the cage, the entire cage was covered in black ice and Atlas pulled the cage door open with a single motion.
At that moment, the older slaves in the cage moved in front of the children.
Among these children were two young people that Atlas was trying to find.
Atlas stopped where he was at that moment and then said, "I came to save you."
As he said these words, the adults in the cage continued to protect the children, even though they were trembling.
"I’m here to save you, seriously, please calm down," Atlas said again, but nothing changed. The two women and three men standing in front of him seemed very, very focused on protecting the children.
Atlas realised that there was nothing else he could do and that he had to provide some evidence.
That’s why he reached into his inventory and pulled out the Ducal Coat of Arms that he would use for the first time since his creation.
He had to provide proof, after all.
