Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 73: Towards the Ballroom
Chapter 73: Towards the Ballroom
During these two days, various speeches were made in multiple places, and slowly, the steps were taken for Atlas to gain nobility.
Atlas did not belong to one of the noble families, and he was not one of the young people who could become the head of these noble families. This caused him to fall within the age limit.
After the age of 15, an individual was considered a mature individual and could only marry, leave their family, and enter the main knightly ranks if they so desired. In general, the age limit started at this age.
This was different for the nobility, however. This was because many nobles tried to marry at an early age. If a person was a noble, such a system was used so that he could not be married in any way before the age of 18.
There were different reasons for this, of course. One of them was to prevent another noble from inviting other noble houses to him, to be legally allowed to plunder other houses through marriage, and so on.
In Atlas’s case, it was unprecedented in the history of the world to give the rank of ’duke’ to a 15-year-old boy with very interesting talents and extraordinary contributions at such a young age.
Instead, it was decided to give one of the ranks that other nobles under the age of 18 receive when they become the head of their families.
"Lord Atlas."
Under someone’s watch, he would have this title till eighteen years old.
On top of that, Atlas would be granted a surname, and since his sister would technically exist under his house, the two siblings would finally have one.
It was possible to earn a surname without being a noble by achieving great things, and there were plenty of people in the empire who earned first a surname and then the rank of Baron or Baroness.
Atlas’ deeds had already been spread among all the nobles who had come to the capital by the dwarf Duke Bhagholir, who had come to the palace. It would not be a lie to say that his current fame was close to that of his older sister Eva.
It was almost an hour before the ball was due to start.
Atlas was busy getting ready in his room. He was straightening his black suit and looking in the mirror in front of him with his holy sword at his waist.
He didn’t like the way his hair looked, and frankly, he was too lazy to bother with it.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door of her room, and the door opened. The person entering the room was Cassandra herself.
When Atlas looked at Cassandra standing right by the door, he couldn’t help but fall in love with her for a moment before that feeling faded away. Cassandra looked perfect.
She wore a thin, jet black dress that showed off her curves, but not all of them. her incredibly long hair was tied up with a red butterfly-coloured hairpin, and her hair was touched with white, as if it were reminiscent of the stars.
"Wow..." Atlas said involuntarily. It was impossible not to admire the woman in front of him.
"You’re not ready at all! What is this suit?" Cassandra suddenly complained.
Before Atlas could say anything, Cassandra instantly extended her palm and formed a layer of blood and inserted her hand into this layer.
After a short time, the beautiful woman took out a suit.
Atlas smiled as he looked at the suit and then questioned, "Is there a reason you chose this?"
"You’re a follower of the Goddess Nyx, aren’t you? I’m the same way, can’t you see my dress and hair?" Cassandra replied.
Atlas had no such knowledge; he hadn’t spoken to the gods or goddesses in a while, and it was as if each of them had chosen to watch him silently.
Soon it would be time for him to make contact with the heroes, but for now, all he had to do was put on the suit Cassandra had in her hand.
The suit was jet black, but there were touches of white, almost star-like, just like Cassandra’s hair.
Atlas asked Cassandra to turn around and then quickly put the suit on. When the suit fit, he looked at Cassandra and said, "I’m beginning to think you’re a pervert, my lady."
Cassandra rolled her eyes and then said, "As you say, if you’re ready, let’s go."
Atlas shook his head and then, like a gentleman, threw his right hand behind his back and extended his left hand to Cassandra and asked, "May I have the honour of taking you to the ballroom, my lady?"
Cassandra smiled and then replied, "So you can be a gentleman...the honour is mine," and then took Atlas’s arm after he took her hand.
The two left the room and started walking towards the ballroom. Many knights were standing in the corridors of the palace due to security measures, and many servants were running around to catch up.
Atlas and Cassandra were busy trying to make their way to the huge ballroom ten minutes away from them.
After a short time, they arrived in front of the ballroom. The knights in front of the door of the hall seemed to be happy to see Atlas.
Among the knights was Emma Crocs.
Atlas smiled gently at Emma and then said, "Listen inside, it will be something you will all love."
Atlas’s words were already enough to tell them what was going to happen, but each of them began to wait with great hope, just as Atlas had said.
Cassandra turned to Atlas after his words and then ran a hand through his hair, smoothing his hair a little.
"Everything must be perfect. Everyone should see who you belong to." Cassandra said suddenly and then looked at the knights and said, "Well? What are you waiting for? Let’s announce our arrival."
With that, the door to the ballroom opened, and then one of the knights shouted to announce their arrival:
"Atlas, hero of Herria, and Cassandra, Sage of Life, entering the ballroom!"
