Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 93: It Does Hurt
Chapter 93: It Does Hurt
"Oh, so now you are sending a message, huh, my lady?" This was because when Atlas had asked her for help, he had received no response.
Even the Gods and Goddesses choked with laughter. No one had ever seen Nyx chastised before.
Atlas’ words had managed to make everyone laugh. Not even his sons and daughters expected to see Nyx in such a situation.
[It doesn’t make sense for me to tell you something for something you might learn in the future.] Nyx sent another message.
Atlas shook his head from side to side and continued as if he didn’t care anymore, saying, "Fine."
After a short time, he managed to reach his room and then put himself back into the position of training his aura energy as if nothing had happened. At first, he decided that it would be much better to raise his aura to the next level, so he started the training quickly.
He had waited exactly three weeks, taking only toilet and meal breaks where he was. He refused to heed outside calls and even made Cordelia leave the room when she came to check on him. He was serious about his training more than anything since he had a point he needed to reach. A point he had to run after.
Cordelia was pleased that Atlas was working so hard to fulfil his promise, and as a result, it was no longer a problem for Atlas to get a special study leave to attend classes for at least this term.
It might have seemed like pulling strings for someone in particular, and it might have seemed strange and unfair to everyone in an academy where "everyone is supposed to be equal", but there was nothing to be done, Atlas was entitled to a little privilege after all he had done.
At the end of three weeks, he had managed to train his aura energy to be less than before. It was going to be very difficult for him to get to the third level anyway.
Even if Starry Night, one of the abilities Nyx had given him, had given him some clue as to what was about to happen, once an aura warrior reached the third level, they had a way of transferring their aura into their weapons.
Aura that was impossible to leave the body would suddenly be able to do so, and this was seen as the first test that aura warriors had to pass.
Aura was already a difficult thing to learn, and the fact that it was possible for those who trained themselves in it to remain at this level despite taking risks made everything even more complicated.
Even if someone knew what to do, they might not be able to go from the second level to the next level.
This condition is referred to by aura masters by the following name:
[Chrysalis]
The Warriors were able to stay directly in each blockage for a seriously long time, which was terrible, but there was nothing to be done.
In Atlas’s case, he had already managed to get some really good points, thanks to Starry Night, and he was able to get some information.
That’s why what he needed to do was to continue training his aura.
After a short period, he finished his meal, and immediately after that, he quickly repositioned himself and began to accelerate the aura in his body and create more of it as external energy and internal energy.
It was a painful thing. No matter how much his body continued to get stronger, no matter how much aura he gained, the fusion time of this enormously heavy energy that entered the body again and again or started to form inside the body burned all his muscles, all his blood cells, all his veins, all his organs and all his skin.
The path of an aura warrior was a painful one, but Atlas was the type that hurt more than others.
Even if the mana in his body itself accepted the aura, the ever-changing energy state and balance of power were constantly reacting.
The aura was even invading the energy in the heart itself, the place where the mana was collected in the magic heart, and trying to make it strong.
Every second, every minute and hour, every day and week of his meditation was like throwing him into a cauldron filled with hot oil.
The system gave him a beautiful power. A good way of combining aura and mana. Still, it had made his entire training more painful. Before, it wasn’t such a big problem. He was weak in both aura energy and mana, but the power in his body now was incalculably high.
Even a level 2 aura warrior could be the equivalent of a three-ring mage, or even a four-ring mage if trained properly. A four-ringed mage was powerful enough to take down a city if not restrained.
It was as the beings of the world said:
[Two forces that cannot coexist. Angry and calm, dull and fluid, dominant and neutral, active and passive. In short, Mana and Aura.]
Atlas, on the other hand, had been training this power, the aura, almost non-stop for the last three weeks, and during this process, he was trying to keep the mana in his body, that power in his heart, calm so that the rings would not explode.
This was worse than the lowest layer of Hell.
"I can do this." Atlas thought. He didn’t care about the increasing pain in his body with each passing second. He had trained himself to the point where there wasn’t even anything harmful inside his body that could be thrown out while training anymore, and he was almost unable to excrete anything but sweat.
He was very, very close to becoming a level three aura warrior, he just had to focus, keep taking steps on this path, and manage to evolve in his mind, shattering those huge unlocked doors.
He had more reasons to grow stronger than the gods and goddesses could even imagine.
