Apocalypse Baby-Chapter 86: Damn Monkey: Transfer
[Dismiss+++]: Remove [Exploding Touch] or transfer it to another object or enemy within 20 meters. Transfers are instantaneous and unblockable.
Alex reread the description, his lips curling into a sly grin.
His fingers twitched as a rush of excitement coursed through him.
Instantaneous. Unblockable.
The new effect was insane, and Alex intended to make full use of it.
His eyes flicked to the ground at the bomb he had set earlier still glowing with energy. A faint circular blue light surrounded it, the countdown frozen at one second, waiting to detonate.
But these weren’t ordinary bombs.
These were gravitational collapse bombs, a devastating perk of his upgraded skill.
Unlike normal explosions, these caused a violent implosion first, sucking everything in their range into a crushing vortex before releasing an explosive shockwave.
With his recent skill upgrade, the bombs weren’t just stronger—they were deadlier.
Far deadlier.
Alex flexed his fingers, his grin growing wider.
The mere thought of transferring that explosive force directly onto an enemy, bypassing every defense, sent a thrill through him.
The Monkey King stood a short distance away, his golden staff sizzling with arcs of electricity.
Alex’s voice dripped with menace as he declared, "Now all I want to do is destroy."
The words hung in the air like a death sentence.
The Monkey King’s fur stood on end, his muscles tense, as if sensing the impending danger.
His sharp instincts screamed that something was terribly wrong.
But he had no idea what Alex was planning.
Destroy....Hadn’t this human already caused enough destruction?
But when Alex grinned—a slow, unsettling curve of his lips—the Monkey King’s unease spiraled into outright panic.
It wasn’t just an attack he felt coming.
It was death.
Something deep within him screamed one word:
Run.
And without a second thought, the Monkey King turned and bolted, abandoning all notions of pride.
Electricity crackled around him, and his golden staff buzzed with raw energy as he channeled everything he had into escaping.
The air shimmered with the speed of his retreat, trees blurring past as his powerful legs propelled him forward.
He tore through the landscape, desperate to put as much distance as possible between himself and the demon he no longer dared to face.
But then he felt it.
It started as a cold, creeping sensation along his legs.
A silent but certain promise of death.
The Monkey King’s eyes widened in horror as he realized he was too late.
BOOM!
The implosion came first, ripping the air apart as a gravitational vortex formed around his legs.
His body twisted unnaturally, yanked toward the epicenter of the attack.
"GAAAH!"
His scream echoed through the forest, raw and guttural.
Before he could even comprehend the pain, the implosion reversed.
A blinding explosion erupted, obliterating everything in its radius.
Trees were flattened, the ground shattered, and the very air seemed to quake with the force of it.

Alex’s eyes gleamed with cold amusement as he watched the glowing, bluish bomb he had planted on the ground vanish as he used [Dismiss].
And in an instant, it reappeared on the Monkey King’s left side.
The Monkey King froze mid-stride, its instincts kicking in.

It sensed something—danger, death—and immediately attempted to flee.
Lightning crackled around its form as it tried to bolt.
But Alex was faster.
With a sharp snap of his fingers, Alex triggered the bomb.
The air itself seemed to twist unnaturally as the gravitational implosion activated, pulling the Monkey King toward the epicenter.
"GRAAAHH!" the beast howled, its body contorting as the implosion crushed inward.
And then—
BOOM!
The shockwave erupted outward, sending a rain of blood and flesh across the scorched battlefield.
The ground quaked beneath the force, and a wave of hot air rippled outward, scattering debris like leaves in the wind.
Alex lowered his hand and smirked, satisfied.
He waited for the telltale notification of victory to pop up but there was nothing.
"Interesting," Alex muttered noting the skill the monkey king had used to escape and then activated [Fast and Furious] chasing.
The Monkey King exhaled sharply, his chest heaving.
If he hadn’t reacted fast enough to create a clone at that critical moment, it would have been over for him.
His clones were more than just copies of him—they were him.
Each one shared his essence, his consciousness, like being in multiple places at once, and as long as one remained alive, so would he.
This was how he had escaped creating a clone before his body was destroyed by the explosion.
The monkey king frowned.
Initially, he thought Alex’s explosions required physical contact, but after witnessing the bomb transfer directly to him, he realized how wrong he had been.
This human was more dangerous than he’d ever imagined.
He could feel Alex behind him, closing the distance at an alarming speed.
The air practically hummed with the human’s deadly intent.
The Monkey King clicked his teeth in frustration.
With no time to waste, he made his move.
Electricity crackled around him as he summoned more clones, their forms materializing out of thin air. The forest was now filled with identical versions of him, each radiating the same fierce energy.
The plan was simple but desperate: scatter.
The clones darted in different directions, weaving through the trees, their lightning-charged steps ripping through the terrain.
If Alex couldn’t chase them all, one might escape.
And if one escaped, he would survive.
Alex, now in full pursuit, didn’t falter.
He watched as the Monkey King multiplied, his sharp eyes tracking every movement, and without even needing [Foresight], he understood the Monkey King’s strategy.
A grin tugged at the corner of his lips.
"Trying to escape? Dream on."
With a flick of his wrist, he hurled several glowing [Blastshards] into the air, each shimmering with a dangerous blue light. Your journey continues at novelbuddy
Before the shards even landed, Alex activated [Dismiss].
The explosions transferred instantly from the scattered rocks to the Monkey King’s clones.
The clones had barely even begun to split up when Alex snapped his fingers.
BOOM!
The blasts erupted in unison, the explosions ripping through the air.
Each clone’s head detonated with pinpoint precision, leaving behind nothing but smoking remnants.
All except one.
Desperation surged through him.
And he created another set of clones, hoping to overwhelm Alex with sheer numbers. The clones darted in every direction, their movements frantic and erratic.
But Alex didn’t flinch.
With another snap of his fingers, the deadly sequence repeated.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
One by one, the clones fell, their heads obliterated in synchronized explosions.
The Monkey King’s heart raced.
He tried again, creating even more clones, pushing his mana reserves to the brink. But the outcome was the same.
Each time, Alex’s [Blastshards] connected flawlessly. The clones were annihilated in seconds, leaving only the original who was running ahead.
It was hopeless.
The Monkey King’s breaths came in ragged gasps as he continued to flee, his mind racing. No matter how hard he tried, Alex countered every move with frightening accuracy.
It was as if Alex could see into the future, predicting every step, every attempt at escape.
"You have so many tricks," Alex taunted, his voice dripping with mockery, "how about you use one that actually works?"
The Monkey King didn’t respond to Alex, It couldn’t afford to, as his focus was solely on its survival.
Its stamina was dwindling, and its mana reserves were almost depleted.
The monkey king couldn’t keep this up much longer.
Behind him, Alex calmly prepared his next move.
He hurled another [Blastshard], the glowing rock slicing through the air with deadly precision.
The Monkey King spun his staff, summoning a barrier of crackling electricity to shield himself, and the cackling energy whirled around him, forming a dome-like defense that hissed and sizzled against the shard’s impending strike.
But the monkey king still hadn’t learned that Alex was relying on an attack not visible to its eyes.
