[: 3rd POV :]

It had been a week since Daniel underwent his transformation, and now, he found himself seated in a bustling restaurant, casually enjoying a meal with Cecilia.

The atmosphere was lively, filled with the chatter of patrons and the clinking of silverware, but an undercurrent of change loomed over them like a silent storm.

"Isn't it strange how everything has changed since that day? I never imagined that we'd possess such powers,"

Cecilia mused, taking a slow sip of her drink.

Her eyes held a mixture of awe and uncertainty, reflecting the monumental shift their lives had taken.

Daniel leaned back in his chair, his fingers lightly tapping against the table.

"It is strange, but I suppose we just have to move forward and not dwell too much on it," he responded, his tone even but distant.

"I know," Cecilia admitted, placing her cup down.

"But I can't help but wonder—why would something like this happen to our world? There has to be more to it."

A heavy silence settled between them.

Daniel didn't answer.

He simply gazed at her, his expression unreadable.

She was unaware of the deeper truths he carried, the history only he knew.

And now was not the time to reveal them.

The events that had yet to unfold were still far ahead of what he remembered.

"I guess we'll find out in the future," he finally said, though his voice carried a dark edge.

Her words had triggered memories—memories of the tragedies that came with the arrival of the Apocalypse.

He recalled the chaos, the endless suffering, and the loss that followed.

But this time, things would be different.

He had the power now.

He could change everything.

Yes… even now… everything could change.

[: Ding Ding :]

Suddenly, a universal notification resounded across the world.

Every single being on Earth received the message simultaneously.

"What the hell is going on? Are you seeing this, Bane?" a stranger called out to his friend.

"Yeah, it's on my screen too," the friend replied, eyes wide with confusion.

"Why is there a global notification?"

"Is everyone else seeing this?"

Murmurs and bewildered voices filled the streets, amusement and curiosity mixing with an underlying sense of unease.

But among them, one person knew better.

"Daniel, what's with the system notification?" Cecilia asked, her voice carrying curiosity rather than concern.

She peered at the glowing panel before her, but when she turned to Daniel, her expression shifted to shock.

Daniel's face was pale.

His body stiffened, his hands clenching the table as though bracing himself against an invisible force.

"This can't be happening…" he muttered, his breath ragged.

For the first time, Cecilia saw something in Daniel she had never witnessed before—fear.

Daniel had always been composed, unwavering in the face of any challenge.

Yet now, his eyes reflected a horror that shook him to his core.

"This is… too early!" he suddenly slammed his fist against the table, causing Cecilia to jolt in worry.

"Daniel? What's wrong? Are you okay?" she asked, her concern growing.

"I'm fine," he responded, forcing himself to regain his composure.

"But this shouldn't be happening—at least not now."

Cecilia frowned, confusion clouding her features.

"What do you mean 'not now'? Is there something I don't know?"

Daniel's thoughts raced. He had anticipated the Apocalypse—he had expected it to happen much earlier than before.

But not this early. Not this drastically.

'The only time I remember the System issuing a world-wide notification was when the Apocalypse officially arrived!'

He swallowed hard, sweat trailing down his temple. His worst fears were confirmed.

The Apocalypse had begun.

[: Congratulations to Planet Earth 3619 for reaching the requirements for an upgrade. As such, the planet is ready to ascend from Unranked to Low-Tier Plane. :]

[: Planet Earth 3619 will now face the Apocalypse. :]

[: All difficulties will be multiplied by 1000, reaching MAXIMUM level. :]

[: All invaders will possess Transcendent Rank and Maxed Stats. :]

[: Upon meeting the upgrade requirements, Planet Earth will unlock hidden functions. :]

[: To fulfill the requirements, the System will issue a Main Quest for Planet Earth. :]

[: Main Quest :]

- Survive the Apocalypse for one week -

- Kill All Invaders: 0/1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 -

- Kill All Apocalyptic Monsters: 0/40 -

Daniel's eyes widened, his breath caught in his throat.

The numbers before him… they were beyond comprehension.

'This isn't right… The numbers were supposed to be in the millions… and only four Apocalyptic Monsters…'

Now, the number of invaders was immeasurable, and the monsters—forty of them—possessed unfathomable strength, far surpassing anything he had ever encountered before.

'The Apocalypse was already bad enough when it happened nine years later. But now? Now it's come too soon… and it's a thousand times worse!'

'Could this be because of me? Did my actions somehow trigger this early arrival? But even if I expected changes, I never thought it would be this catastrophic!'

Panic rippled across the globe.

People screamed, shouted, questioned.

Fear gripped their hearts as the realization of their doomed reality set in.

Cecilia, still watching Daniel, could feel the shift in the air.

"Daniel, what's wrong with the System?" she asked, her voice tinged with alarm.

Before Daniel could utter another word, the system's voice echoed once more, delivering the final blow.

[: Apocalypse will begin in 3...2...1... :]

And then—the world blacked out.

Darkness swallowed everything.

Seconds later, the sun dimmed, eclipsed by an unnatural force.

The sky turned crimson, as though soaked in blood.

Then, chaos erupted, and Apocalypse had begun.

All over the world, there were natural disasters happening without a stop.

Earthquakes ripped cities apart, swallowing entire neighborhoods into their depths.

Tsunamis crashed onto shores, sweeping away homes and drowning thousands.

The sky rained fire, and the air filled with cries of the dying.

Tornadoes spun like vengeful spirits, ripping through structures with terrifying force.

Volcanoes, long dormant, erupted in cataclysmic fury, their fiery tongues consuming the lands.

All of these natural disasters although most could endure its damages, others who were weak, old and young couldn't survive the disasters.

As such, just from the disasters alone hundreds thousands of innocent lives were lost.

"No! My baby!" A mother cried out for her newborn child who had died in the chaos, clutching its lifeless body as she wailed in agony.

"Daddy... wake up..." A young girl sobbed as she desperately tried to pull away the debris that had crushed her father, her tiny hands covered in blood and dirt.

"Ryan! Come back!" A younger brother screamed, reaching out toward the raging waves, watching helplessly as his older brother was swallowed by the tsunami.

"Salina... I'll be by your side... so don't worry..." whispered a young man as he cradled his dying lover, their bodies surrounded by encroaching flames, knowing they would perish together.

"Honey... I love you..." A husband and wife held hands, accepting their fate as their village was consumed by a river of molten magma.

Just from the disasters alone, lives had been claimed.

But this wasn't the end.

It was just a welcome from the arrival of the Apocalypse.

With the disasters happening around the world, portals appeared.

From the skies, from the depths of the earth, from within the very fabric of reality, there were cracks.

It was as though the mirrors of the sky had been shattered into pieces, and what came forth from these skies were gigantic, pulsating portals.

Their eerie glow sent a foreboding presence into the world, and from within them, unspeakable horrors poured forth.

There weren't just a single one of them, if numbers could be counted perhaps there are millions portals.

But these portals didn't happened only on the sky, within the deepest part of the ocean, there were cracks of portals emerging.

What came forth was giant abominations with writhing tentacles and eyes that burned with malice.

On the the part of the world, demonic creatures covered in jagged armor, wielding weapons forged from darkness itself.

Beasts with multiple heads, their roars splitting the heavens, trampling anything in their way.

Winged horrors that blotted out the sky, their screeches sending waves of fear into the hearts of those who heard them.

The so called Invaders this time was monsters possessing undeniable strength that could destroy countries at ease.

It was just only a moment, but cities had been destroyed.

In Tokyo, abominations known as Dragons had caused destruction throughout the neon-lit city.

Their mythical forms alone had tore apart buildings.

Their piercing roads had sent shockwaves that ruptured eardrums and shattered glass, forcing people to collapse in agony.

The once-vibrant metropolis was now an eerie wasteland of destruction, its citizens fleeing in every direction, their screams drowned by the monstrous presence.

Tokyo that was once a famous land visited by tourist had been destroyed by waves of monsters.

Humanity could only watch in terror.

Although Players who had gained considerable strength from Modern Fantasia had fought back, they were in the end slaughtered by these said monsters.

After all, this wasn't just a quest that they had always gone through.

This was something else, something they had never gone through before.

It was called the Apocalypse and it had finally and truly begun.
