Lin Yi slowed down the car, pretending to look for things he could scavenge.

Meanwhile, the "Celestial Eye" used its cameras to search the area and quickly marked the movements of the troops hiding behind the buildings.

These troops were probably preparing to capture the intruders.

Despite his companion's unease, Lin Yi calmly drove around the building complex, occasionally stopping to inspect something, then continued moving.

His destination was a massive building in the northern part of the complex, resembling a pyramid.

The aliens still hadn't appeared.

They might be waiting for the strangers to drive away.

After confirming there was no one in the building, Lin Yi drove inside and spent five minutes searching the interior on a motorcycle.

The building was huge, with enough space for an entire team of robots to move freely inside.

After searching, Lin Yi slowly drove out of the building and wandered aimlessly around the complex for ten minutes before driving away.

"Aren't you planning to attack them?" the half-mechanical person asked in confusion.

"If I do that, they will run away, and I won't be able to find them again." Lin Yi snorted.

"Then what was the point of all that just now?!"

"Reconnaissance."

"Reconnaissance? But there's nothing there. We didn't find anything!"

"No, it's just you didn't find anything." Lin Yi snorted again as he drove away from the complex.

He hid behind a nearby hill and summoned a "Shell" vehicle full of Guards, leaving the negotiator inside.

Then he sent the "Dagger" vehicle back to the warehouse, activated his "Chameleon" Skills, and leisurely walked back to the Manufacturing Center.

According to the "Celestial Eye" intelligence, the alien base was located in an inconspicuous, half-destroyed building.

There were 332 enemies, looking in bad shape, obviously hungry and exhausted.

In Tilian, it's difficult to find food, which is why the Horu people constantly raid camps and caravans.

They are trying to find "valuable resources" and other substances that can be turned into food.

The "Celestial Eye" also discovered some well-hidden trucks filled with loot and damaged equipment, including motorcycles, armor, and unusable weapons.

Ammunition can be regenerated with magic power, but repairing equipment requires Coins and a Weapon Smith.

The Horu people obviously have a Weapon Smith; otherwise, they wouldn't be collecting Coins.

However, one Weapon Smith is definitely not enough to repair all those damaged items.

Almost a third of the Horu people were wearing Tilian's jumpsuits, equipped with Tilian weapons.

Lin Yi walked unhurriedly.

Maintaining disguise while moving is quite difficult, and disguising while running is nearly impossible.

It took him about twenty minutes to get there, while the negotiator was restless all the time.

When he finally reached the building complex, the first thing Lin Yi did was to summon disguised scouts.

The soldiers dispersed and installed cameras around the complex, but more importantly, they cleared out the Horu people's hideouts and warehouses, which weren't located in the main building.

They even took their trucks and everything on them since the trucks were parked on the outskirts of the camp.

Each truck was guarded by three soldiers, who were ordered to drive the trucks to a prearranged rendezvous point if there was trouble.

There were a total of ten trucks. The Shelter soldiers cleared these trucks one by one.

They didn't want to alarm their prey...

But the whole process required time.

Disguise does not equate to invisibility, so they had to wait for the optimal moment for stealth assassinations.

With a swing of the laser sword, the guards were decapitated.

After clearing all the trucks and hideouts, the soldiers headed towards the main camp.

They carefully eliminated other guards but left those watching the wasteland, as they were too far apart.

It would take too long to kill them all, and someone might notice something.

Unfortunately, before the battle began, there was no way to steal the Horu people's motorcycles because they were near the soldiers' tents.

Their tents were quite similar to those Lin Yi and his group used when they first came to Tilian.

They could filter air and had many other useful features for surviving in harsh environments.

Lin Yi's officers suggested burning all the buildings, but the boss firmly refused; the loot could be destroyed!

Repairing the Horu people's equipment looted last time consumed a lot of time, money, and effort, and not all of it was repaired yet.

Of course, they had many different tactics available.

They could flood the area and then attack the water surface with lightning; they could use explosives or an Earth Mage to destroy the buildings, then quietly search and recover corpses in the ruins...

Finally, everyone agreed that the best course of action was a classic surprise attack because most of the enemy was still in their tents.

Hubert gave the order, and soldiers equipped with level 4 shields and knights wearing power armor, activating their presence barriers, immediately rushed into the building from four directions.

"We're under attack!" a Horu person shouted. Other Horu people heard his warning and quickly reacted.

The building immediately filled with the chaotic noise of gunfire and screams.

Soldiers from the Shelter advanced within the building, shooting at unsuspecting guards and tents while Horu soldiers tried to crawl out from the tents.

The Horu people quickly jumped onto their motorcycles and switched them to power armor mode.

They gained stronger firepower and defense capabilities to resist the attackers, but the Shelter soldiers had barrier protection, blocking their attacks, and the soldiers could even shoot through the barriers!

Shelter soldiers holding shields and shotguns tried to stay as close as possible, creating chaos within the enemy ranks.

Because of their densely packed formation like a wall, not a single enemy could flank these shield-bearing soldiers; if any enemy tried, the heavily armored soldiers following behind would eliminate them with laser rifles.

As planned, the sudden attack quickly pushed the enemy into a predicament. More than half of the Horu people were eliminated before they even had time to get out of their tents.

The remaining enemies could not compete with the infantry, as the infantry far surpassed them in power and defense.

Of course, some were injured, but not seriously. A few warriors overestimated their abilities, and as a result, their presence barriers were shattered by the Horu people.

These knights were saved by their sturdy power armor and level 3 armor, but they still had to go to the hospital.

As the battle neared its end, a negotiator was brought in, and to say he was shocked would be an understatement.

Hundreds and thousands of corpses everywhere, a river of blood, severed limbs, and viscera...

The damage caused by plasma shotguns to poorly protected opponents was truly terrifying.

Laser rifles were somewhat more humane, as they would burn a hole in the target's body, which would immediately cauterize to stop bleeding, so there was almost no bleeding.

"You killed them all?!" The man could hardly believe the evidence of his electronic eye!

"That's right, they are indeed all dead. Check for yourself if you want."

The operation was initially planned as an "easy victory," a quick battle with no casualties.

In twenty minutes, the soldiers carefully cleaned up the battlefield. Given the opportunity, they also looted the entire manufacturing center.

They found many ancient pieces of equipment there.

Of course, the good parts had been taken by zombies, but there were still tens of thousands of tons of rusty metal, and various non-ferrous metals.

They quickly tallied up the weapons and armor.

Repairable equipment included 411 sets of "Apocalypse Soldiers" armor.

These armors would be reforged into "Apocalypse Knight" armors, and 390 sets of AP-1 Type Equipment would also be upgraded.

They also found coins, energy cores, Tilian equipment, and so forth.

The motorcycles were more difficult to assess, requiring some time to determine which ones could be fixed, but it looked like there were approximately 345.

The Shelter harvested a large number of Energy Cores, including more than 4,000 level 2 energy cores and 30 level 3 energy cores.

They also obtained 600 energy weapons, though most of them regrettably were level 2, but still quite decent.

There were also various unfamiliar pieces of equipment and Tilian skill chips.

All of these would be carefully cataloged and explored later, but not right now, as Lin Yi wanted to send the negotiator home before dinner, and their time was limited.

"So? The mission is complete, right? Ready to head back?"

"Hmm? Uh, yes, of course..." The half-mechanical person in a jumpsuit hadn't fully processed everything he saw yet.

"Why are you taking the bodies?"

"What do you mean, why? We recycle bodies, repair equipment." Lin Yi answered frankly, as he began to leave the building.

The return took more than half an hour.

On the way back, Lin Yi encountered another group of monsters, but this group had a lot of level 3 mutant creatures mixed in with the small fry, so he decided to bypass them instead of flying over them.

Lin Yi did not drive into town but lent a car to the negotiator to return to his camp.

Then he teleported back to the Shelter, leaving a 'Shell' car and a squad of soldiers.

He was starving!

The dining table was quite lively, all because of Rein, who had been discharged from the hospital.

The girls were talking loudly all at once, making it impossible to hear what they were saying.

At least, that's how it seemed to Lin Yi...

"Boss? What's this strange new skill of mine? It shows 'Bond with Lin Yi, Level 1,' and it's increasing my attributes, but there's no description..."

"Bond? Rein has a bond with the boss?!" Annie exclaimed excitedly, but the very curious Melanie immediately told her to hush.

"To rescue you, I had to activate a Special Skill. I can use it to establish bonds between me and others.

You gained some of my attributes, and I gained some of your attributes."

"I see..." Rein murmured, though her heart was beating so fast it felt like it might jump out of her chest.

We now have a bond... between me and him... wild fantasies unfolded in Rein's mind once again.

Fortunately, Lin Yi had cut off their telepathic connection, so he couldn't hear her thoughts, though he could still feel her happiness.

"I probably should make a bond with you too, no harm in having more attribute bonuses, right?" After thinking for a moment, Chen Youyou smiled and nodded.

Lin Yi activated the skill.

[Select target.]

"Chen Youyou." 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Choose the object to establish a bond with the target.

(Russian) "Me."

Bond established.

Chen Youyou→Lin Yi: Level 1;

Lin Yi→Chen Youyou: Level 1.

You have gained 25% of Chen Youyou's attributes:

Power +2, Agility +8, Endurance +3, Vitality +2, Magic Power +7.

"I felt it!" Chen Youyou exclaimed happily, having just received a significant boost to her physical attributes.

"I gained +5 Power, +6 Agility, +4 Endurance, +4 Vitality, and +2 Magic Power!"

"Wow! I want a bond too, boss! Come on, give me one!" Annie jumped from her chair, begging.

She even tried to put on a pitiful expression, but since she was usually too mischievous, it didn't work at all.

Many others waited expectantly for the boss, including Xiao Chuan, Solomon, Orianna, Sylvie, and even Katsya...
