Apocalypse: I Build A Doomsday Train-Chapter 1066 - 406: Unable to Decompose_3
"What’s going on..."
Lin Xian, unwilling to give up, continued his attempts. He directly activated the Mechanical Devouring program of the Black Star Forge, but it was still ineffective. Then, he created a metal box that completely enclosed it and attached it to a mechanical device, trying to devour it once again.
However, as the Mechanical Devouring operated, the mechanical device was quickly decomposed into materials and thrown into the Decomposition Space, yet the metal dice remained untouched.
Seeing this, Lin Xian was at a loss. It appeared even more mysterious than he had imagined. He contemplated the six sides of the dice, deep in thought.
"Why would a civilization of this level create a die? What purpose does it serve?"
Thinking it over, Lin Xian attempted to touch one side of the metal dice in the zero-gravity space. As his fingertip made contact, an extreme chill and smoothness were transmitted instantly. The dice was nudged by his touch and began to rotate slightly, slowly revealing a number towards him.

Lin Xian stared at it for a moment, then gave up.
Emerging from the Black Star Forge Space, Lin Xian slowly opened his eyes. In the cockpit, Chen Sixuan asked him, "You didn’t tell Chu Yan about this, did you?"
"Not yet," Lin Xian replied calmly.
Chen Sixuan sighed, "Are you worried about causing negative emotions among the Phoenix Society and the survivors?"
"Not completely, it’s just that telling them now serves no purpose since we can’t research it or draw any conclusions," Lin Xian said, looking ahead, "Apart from making Chairman Chu’s prediction that ’humanity is doomed’ seem more plausible..."
Chen Sixuan’s expression was complicated, "As we gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes back, and the more we discover, the more despairing it becomes." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Lin Xian looked at the calm sea surface as the train sped through, falling into silence.
After a while, he suddenly asked Chen Sixuan.
"Teacher Chen, do you think it’s possible that besides the Dark Civilization and Human Civilization, there’s another kind of civilization?"
Chen Sixuan was surprised by his thought, "Why do you say that?"
Lin Xian spoke softly, "The power of the Star Abyss far exceeds our imagination. Time expansion, dimensional modification, causing all of humanity to mutate, awakening superpowers. I think inside the Star Abyss, there’s more than just the Abnormal Bodies, why are there 13 Star Abysses? They don’t even fear nuclear bombs. To eradicate all humanity should be simple."
"I agree with Professor Ye’s hypothesis. Due to the counterattacks from the humans in Dawn City, due to the asymmetry of information between civilizations, this chain of suspicion allowed humanity to achieve a subtle balance. However, Professor Ye and I also discussed that the premise and initial outbreak of the Apocalypse Day are somewhat contradictory to this balance."
"I understand what you mean," Chen Sixuan said then. "If an advanced civilization wanted to invade Blue Star, logically, the hunter should need to observe and understand the prey. The current situation is that after the disaster, humanity is struggling to survive in the darkness, and we find that the Dark Civilization may also be puzzled and asymmetrically informed about us. I suppose... this is why you and Professor Ye are concerned with the Dark Civilization’s motives for coming to Blue Star."
Lin Xian nodded, "So I wonder if there could be another type of civilization or some other existence imposing certain constraints on both Human Civilization and Dark Civilization. Of course, this is just my very optimistic thought. Otherwise, I can’t fathom how a civilization capable of dimensional modification could find strategic deterrence in our cannons and lasers."
Chen Sixuan didn’t speak upon hearing this, quietly pondering Lin Xian’s words.
The wind howled, and ahead, a black silhouette of land appeared on the distant coastline. As the train continued forward, it became clear that it wasn’t land, but a huge island.
Sea Rock Island is the largest island in the Western Pacific, besides the Republican Islands and Black Island. The island chain includes hundreds of small islands of varying sizes, with the main island covering an area of nearly 20,000 square kilometers. Sea Rock City was once a famous tourist city, home to over a million residents and beautiful white sand beaches.
Yet, before Lin Xian could see the full view of the island, he was drawn to the vast amount of debris floating in the waters below. He moved to the cabin window to look, spotting various planks, luggage, oil tanks, clothing, plastic, and other debris stretching for over a hundred kilometers along both sides of the coast. Even before reaching the island, a heavy apocalyptic atmosphere was palpable.
The Star Orbital began to widen. The warning lines on the guide bridge railings along the track were long faded. The yellow and black caution tape fluttered rustlingly in the salty sea breeze, crudely painted with "Do Not Enter" and "Infected Area." Several bodies in hazmat suits lay slumped by the barricade, their face shields shattered, revealing dry skulls beneath.
Scree...
The Infinity Train slowed and came to a halt. Ahead, dozens of various trains completely blocked the tracks to the island, with a deathly silence everywhere. The outer armor of some Doomsday Trains was covered in dried blood stains.
Lin Xian opened the door, letting the sea breeze catch hold of a poster reading "Black Disaster Arriving, National Quarantine," sweeping it over the tops of the trains. Behind the toppled barricades was a mountain of piled-up corpses, all dried and decomposed, seemingly oriented in the same direction...
Escape from the island!
