Chapter 81: Chapter 77: Silver Antenna

In the dimly lit train compartment, the lights gradually dimmed and became hazy.

The light seemed unable to penetrate the darkness, and as Lin Xian’s inner fear grew, even the light was being devoured.

Lin Xian’s forehead was covered in cold sweat, desperately clinging to his last shred of reason amid endless fear.

This isn’t right, this isn’t right, this isn’t right.

There must be something wrong.

Where is it wrong, where is it wrong?

What did I notice?

Click clack, click clack.

A sound of footsteps emerged from the depths of the darkness.

"Who’s there!"

Lin Xian gripped the forged steel knife in his hand, cold sweat pouring like rain.

The passage became increasingly dark, Lin Xian could no longer see anything emerging in front of him.

No one responded.

But Lin Xian felt someone standing in front of him in the darkness.

A chill came towards him.

Whoosh~ Whoosh

Lin Xian’s heart pounded wildly, he knew danger was approaching.

He rubbed his eyes, trying hard to see clearly what was ahead.

But he couldn’t see anything.

"Why can’t I see, why can’t I see?"

In the darkness, a ghastly pale hand suddenly appeared in his line of sight.

Lin Xian’s expression drastically changed, his grip on the steel knife tightened, and he immediately raised his hand.

But just as he was about to strike, he suddenly stopped.

Because he noticed frostbite marks on the back of that hand.

Can ghosts get frostbite?

Lin Xian was impressed with himself, asking such a bizarre question as his sanity was about to collapse.

But it was this question that pulled his sanity back from the edge of a cliff and rapidly cooled him down!

He knew what was wrong now!

Lin Xian’s expression turned stern, suddenly he reached out and grabbed the severed finger sticking to his hand, and yanked it off with a grind of his teeth!

Hiss~

The intense pain of the tear almost made him pass out.

He gasped hurriedly, and raised his left hand again, but this time he completely ignored the ghostly shadow in the darkness, instead aiming the bloody hole of the broken finger straight at the radio on the couch!

Wind Gun!

Bang!

A blast of air erupted, and the black radio placed on the couch was suddenly knocked flying, crackling, crackling!

Strangely, Lin Xian’s powerful Wind Gun did not shatter the radio, it instead emitted a bizarre mechanical noise as the frequency flickered, and suddenly with a snap! A shiny silver object flew out.

The entire train’s lights suddenly burst into a bright flash, illuminating all the passages and corridors.

And at that moment, the shadow in front of Lin Xian was illuminated.

The shadow revealed its true face.

It was Lin Xian himself!

The ’Lin Xian’ in front of him now had a sinister smile, his eyes staring motionlessly at him.

Sending chills down the spine.

As the bright light appeared, ’Lin Xian’ suddenly retreated rapidly into the shadows and vanished in the blink of an eye.

Seeing this, Lin Xian immediately stepped back a few steps, inwardly sighing.

"Just as I thought!"

Whoosh~ Whoosh~

He gasped hurriedly, then lifting his left hand, he found his finger was unharmed, and turning back, there was no sign of the girl or blood anywhere.

Lin Xian’s heart throbbed, thinking to himself,

"If I had struck earlier, would I have killed myself?"

What surprised him wasn’t just one thing.

The glass marbles in the night, the Red Clothes ghost in the carriage, the fractured fingers, these were all things Lin Xian had been afraid of since he was young, but while they caused him great fear, they hadn’t actually inflicted fatal injuries on him. It was only after he mistakenly ’slashed Sha Sha’s throat’ that his mind truly became chaotic.

Just as he was on the verge of collapsing, a ghostly shadow appeared before his eyes, if he had lost all reason and only had the instinct to survive left, he definitely would have struck out in defense.

Then he might have ended up killing ’himself’!

Besides this, Lin Xian noticed two more details.

Apart from the frostbites on the shadow’s hand which were identical to those on the back of his own hand, there was also the radio placed on the couch.

The entire train was under the control of Lin Xian’s Mechanical Heart. Perhaps fear could block his senses, but it couldn’t block his Mechanical Heart.

The radio, although turned off, had its frequency light still on.

If it wasn’t his Mechanical Heart controlling it,

then it must be something else...

And in this eerie space, something is unleashing his fear!

Ding Ding Ding~

The silver object fell to the ground with a metallic sound.

Lin Xian focused his gaze and realized it was a silver antenna!

Oddly enough, the antenna seemed to possess its own consciousness, quickly rolling forward on the ground towards the direction of car number 3.

Dripping, dripping~

This thing is haunted!

Lin Xian frowned and hurriedly followed.

At this moment, Lin Xian’s greatest fear was rapidly visualized, and once he realized this, he understood.

The weird marbles, the ghost in Red Clothes, exploding fingers, all were fake.

That eerie radio indeed possessed some kind of supernatural power; it seemed to be broadcasting fear, releasing fear, it wanted Lin Xian to kill himself!

Gurgle~~~

The silver antenna rolled quickly towards the dark depths, then with a ding, it hit a toolbox and stopped.

Lin Xian’s expression turned stern as he walked over quickly.

With each step he took, the ghastly Red Clothes ghost suddenly appeared out of thin air, hurtling towards his face.

Lin Xian was shocked, his face changed drastically with fright, causing him to retreat repeatedly.

But at that moment, he held onto his rationality and sternly faced it head-on.

"Nice figure."

Lin Xian gritted his teeth and reached straight for the ghost’s chest. The Red Clothes ghost looked at him fearfully and vanished in a panic.

Same trick again!

Once he confirmed his suspicion, Lin Xian felt a great relief.

What supernatural power, all are mere illusions, just mental scare tactics!

Lin Xian took another step, a cutting machine flew by quickly and then his neck broke, his rotating head fell straight to the ground!

He walked over, picked up his head, held it behind himself to inspect.

"So it turns out my back is this upright."

Afterward, he put his head back on and moved forward again.

In the car ahead, a sudden red light flashed, a huge wave of blood and countless heads rolled towards him!

Lin Xian waved one hand, an Ice Shield appeared, pushing the Ice Shield through the sea of blood and heads, he casually picked up a head, weighing it.

"Not bad, this melon is ripe."

The silver antenna continued releasing the fears in Lin Xian’s heart, but since Lin Xian had seen through it, why should he be scared?

Meanwhile, the lights inside the car strangely flickered, the connection between the carriages whined like steel, and the carriage doors automatically moved.

"All this fuss?"

Lin Xian walked up to the toolbox, his gaze icy as he stared at the silver antenna on the ground.

"Ghastly thing, on this train, I am the master!"

With that, Lin Xian raised his right hand and snapped his fingers.

Whoosh! The Mechanical Heart vibrated, all sunshades closed, doors halted, lights stopped flickering, and the electric locomotive’s engine also started up, maintaining a smooth circuit throughout the train.

If it weren’t for his Mechanical Heart, he would have truly been swallowed by this flood-like fear, unable to distinguish illusion from reality!

"I want to see what kind of demons and monsters these are."

Lin Xian stared at the antenna, slowly crouched down, and in that instant, numerous ghostly images, claws, corpses, and bloody scenes swarmed before his eyes.

The more frantic it got, the more Lin Xian felt this thing was trying to stop him, so he directly ignored those images and picked it up.

Swish!

As soon as Lin Xian’s fingertip touched the silver antenna, those horrifying images instantly disappeared.

"It really is this thing causing trouble!"

Lin Xian picked up the antenna, discovering it was originally the one from his radio, cool to the touch and retractable, but strangely, when Lin Xian held the silver antenna, the view in front of him eerily flickered, and all lights went out.

The entire train was engulfed in darkness.

What made his expression drastically change was that his spirit seemed to be rapidly pulled away by the surrounding environment!

What’s going on?!

Lin Xian stood up, suddenly heard movement behind him, turned around and shone his flashlight, his complexion immediately turned grave!

Right behind him, not far down the corridor, stood a white creature with two ears, blood dripping from its mouth, holding a girl in its arms, seemingly devouring something!

And the girl in the monster’s arms, he knew her very well.

KIKI.
