Apocalypse: Infinite Breaker Online-Chapter 70: Champion Boss - Varkyron, the Eternal Watcher,
Axir didn’t waste time and went to the level 500 area—the Hidden Area: Garden of Ages.
As it was a hidden area, the only way to access it was by fulfilling a certain condition. The way towards this hidden area was from a level 500 Area called Valley of Purgatory Paradise.
As soon as he entered this valley, he was locked on a monster.
Not just any monster, but the champion field boss of this area.
This was the only area where, once any players enter, they are locked on by the field boss and have to fight the boss right off the bat.
The boss was both the hurdle and the requirement.
Upon killing the boss, it would drop a bunch of fruits that would last for just ten minutes. Fruits that could not be preserved by any means.
Eating the fruit would turn one’s body incorporeal and show a path that only they could see, leading towards a crack that would send them to the hidden area: Garden of Ages.
But Axir left the area, getting out of the boss’s aggro.
Floating in the air, Axir looked at the giant red-skinned cyclops with three heads and four arms. One holding a giant sword. Second, holding a large book. Third, holding a staff. Fourth, holding a spiked chain-mace.
[ Varkyron, the Eternal Watcher ] - Champion Boss
Level: 500
Power Level: 43,50,000.
Vitality: 1,000,000/1,000,000 (+100%).
Mana: 500,000/500,000 (+100%).
<Basic stats>
Constitution: 100,000
Agility: 30,000
Perception: 25,000
Arcane: 50,000
It looked at Axir in the sky and roared before turning around and retreating back to its place.
Axir had no chance against this boss without sufficient preparation.
First, he looked at the time and the stacks of Blazing Blood he had accumulated after activating the card — Ash Veiled Skin (Blazing Blood) | Prime 9-star.
49 stacks.
’One hundred and fifty-three seconds until it reaches 100.’
To utilize the +5000% attack speed, +5000% move speed, and +5000% damage boost, he would need a tough body as well.
If he went all out with those boosts, his Constitution might not hold up after one serious sequence of attacks or before he attacked as his body might breakdown.
So, there was a need to activate another card.
Prime 7-star card, Dark Blood Infusion. However, if he activated it now, his healing stop would be since using this card banned healing on oneself.
Blazing Blood was reducing his vitality by -1% every three seconds, so if he didn’t get healing, he would die once the stacks reached 100. As such, there was a need to keep his vitality at 100% while the Blazing Blood was stacking.
Axir recovered his health while the stacks increased steadily.
When the stacks reached 95, he activated Dark Blood Infusion.
His Constitution tripled.
Then he waited until Blazing Blood stacks reached 100, and then he shaved away his life forcibly, reducing his vitality to 50%.
This increased his Agility by one thousand due to the second effect of Dark Blood Infusion card— every 10 vitality loss = 1 Agility.
He lost 10,750 vitality and gained 1075 Agility.
Similarly, a passive card in his arsenal began working.
5-star card, Wailing Misery. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
His Arcane stat shot up by 1125 due to gaining Arcane from its effect.
Every -1% Vitality = 1 + (0.1% Vitality).
Insane power coursed through his body.
A weapon appeared in his right hand—Whirling Inferno Lance.
[Whirling Inferno Lance]
- Attack: 100 + (100% Constitution + 200% Agility)
- Cost: 5 Mana per second upon holding it.
<Flame Core: Gyrate Ignition>
—> The whirling flame array released around the lance will become compact, intense, and make the lance spin faster depending on the moving speed of the user, increasing damage exponentially without limit. Reduces durability fast.
—> Each strike inflicts Omni-Defense Break. The percentage of omni-defense break depends on the damage dealt by the weapon.
Another weapon appeared in his left hand—Ashveil Edge.
[Ashveil Edge]
- Attack: 100 + (100% Agility + Arcane)
- Cost: 1 Mana per successful hit.
<Flame Core: Ashborn Spark>
—> Upon hit, inflict 5 stacks of Ashen Spark, dealing 10% of Arcane damage per second per stack that ignores defense and resistance. Infinite duration, infinite stacks.
—> The stacks can be detonated, dealing 500% Arcane state damage + 10% per stack.
His blood was circulating at supersonic speed.
His entire body was faint crimson and radiating heat.
Flames around the lance whirled slowly.
Ten seconds passed since he reached 100 stacks.
He only had 50 seconds to deal with the boss.
But Axir didn’t rush there.
Two cards flickered and activated.
2-star card, Weapon Damage Enchant. +50% Weapon attack damage.
3-star card, Elemental Sigil Enchant—Fire Enchant. +50% weapon’s elemental damage.
Axir breathed out slowly.
His breath turned into a steady wind that moved everything in front of him for over a hundred meters.
40 seconds remained.
Axir looked at his status after all the boosts.
Constitution: 2160
Agility: 2125
Perception: 720
Arcane: 2085
On top of this, the +5000% boost on Attack speed, move speed, and damage would apply to everything.
With all the boosts, the whirling inferno lance’s BASIC ATTACK was 664,020 per hit just based on +5000% damage boost. This was without the Flame Core’s effect of increasing its damage based on his move speed.
Similarly, Ashveil Edge’s basic attack would strike for 439,620 damage per hit. But this weapon relied on its stacks to deal significant true damage.
Axir stretched his left hand diagonally towards the sky, his Ashveil Edge gleaming under the sun.
And then, he attacked with his full speed.
As his arm blurred, the air cuts were so fast that even the sound couldn’t catch up. The sound waves were shattered the moment they tried to emerge due to constant swings.
In mere one second, Axir swung the blade 10,857 times!
That was freaking 10,857 stacks, each dealing 10% of his arcane damage per second for five seconds!
10% aracne = 208!
208 x 10,857 = 2258256 TRUE DAMAGE per second.
If he detonated just 50 stacks, Blazing Blood’s damage boost would bring the detonation damage to 1,063,350!
Of course, detonation damage wasn’t true damage, hence it could be resisted, but still, with 10,857 stacks, anything would die unless he encountered those upper-level bosses above 500 who had a wide variety of buffs, effects, and specific weaknesses. Power before level 500 and after level 500 was a huge chasm for the bosses and monsters in the game.
As Axir was doing the calculation, only 30 seconds remained until he lost the 100 stacks of Blazing Blood.
But he only needed one second to kill the boss.
Still, he used one more card.
’My arm was about to explode when I swung at full power in that second. If I use this...’ Axir’s eyes glinted.
10-star card, Sunlit Motion Engine!
Using 100 fuel can increase your action speed by 50%, up to 500%!
He consumed 500 fuel, increasing his action speed by 500%.
Action speed included both movement speed and attack speed. It was the speed of his acting his body in any way.
’Fuck.’
Axir could feel the power.
And he swings his arm, checking his current attack speed.
BOOOM!
In just 0.5 seconds, he lost control, and his arm exploded. It flung away like a shooting star, crashing into a mountain and annihilating it before continuing.
Wing howled, and destruction followed the broken arm’s trails before it stopped after crashing into another mountain.
Axir laughed.
Well, if he just calculated, he would be able to swing 11,900 times per second.
But now that he lost an arm, and he couldn’t recover it due to Dark Blood Infusion, it was time to finish the boss with Whirling Inferno Lance.
He recalled the Ashveil Edge and put it back in the armory before he entered the area.
Axir dashed physically.
Like a neon crimson-orange light, he moved so fast that he was outside the champion field boss’s perception!
He was flying at roughly 1% of the speed of light!
He could cross Earth’s diameter in mere 4 seconds right now.
To put it into numbers.
His current moving speed was Mach 9,044!
3080 kilometers per second!
The boss was WAY slower than him!
Putting it into game stats, to reach this speed without boosts from cards, one would need a 119,000 Agility stat!
H flew through the area while passing by the boss hundreds of times as it tried to find him and attack him.
’I’m not gonna survive if I do melee since I would die from my own attack. Better I throw it. That would deal more damage anyway.’
The light zig-zagged through the area before going up 200 kilometers instantly as Axir hit an invisible ceiling of this World of Belkris.
He stopped and then dived down.
A line stretched from high up the bottom as Axir came down.
And when he was just 10 kilometers away from the boss, he transferred the insane kinetic energy with a fluid and precise motion of his arm, throwing the lance directly at the boss’s head.
The whirling flames around the lance spun insanely fast. Rotating 72,258 times per second!
BOOOOOM!
-294,773,290 damage.

Rank 1: Player Ace - Level 343
Axir grinned. He checked the weapon durability, and it was hanging at 1%! He quickly used the durability restore card and fixed it before moving to pick up the fruits.
Meanwhile, the world chat exploded.
"W-What the fuck?!"
"What did he do now?! From level 177 to level 343 insane!"
"He killed a Champion Field Boss. But what level was that fucking boss that he jumped so many levels?!"
Yuta, Kazuo, Lexi, and Aoi were at the puzzle area talking as Aoi was telling them about what happened between Axir, Selena, and Jason when the world announcements beganringingg.
"Holy crap." Kazuo was dumbfounded. "He is going way ahead!"
"Damn it! I am not talking with Jason or Selena anymore." Yuta announced. "I cut all ties with those two."
"Of course, not with you." He smiled at Lexi. "But you shouldn’t antagonize Axir just because he humiliated your brother. Better think rationally."
Lexi rolled her eyes. "You don’t need to teach me what to do."
Aoi was suspicious. ’Lexi is acting...she definitly acted shocked when I spoke that Axir already knew about the betrayal.’
’Why? Did she already know that Axir knew about it? And is there something else I don’t know?’ Aoi’s eyes became amused. ’Axir-sama, what are you cooking?’
