Apocalypse King: Recruiting S-Tier Beauties With My Ruler System-Chapter 252: Dual Gatling Cannons!
The moment I tapped the green button to accept the wall and area into the System, a tingling sensation shot through my body. A kind of throbbing started in the soles of my feet, then flowed up my legs, pulsing faster and faster.
"Ngh..."
When it reached my chest, I couldn’t breathe, as if someone stuffed cotton inside my lungs. I gasped and fell against the cold, stone wall. A thick scent of rust and the sweet scent of dirt flowed into my nose and mouth.
Yet I didn’t find it unpleasant.
[Communal District A --> C Have become a Safe Zone]
[Defensive Wall has become a safe zone]
[All safe territories are resistant to Zombies below Stage 3 in their current state]
[Extreme amount of trash, waste and recyclable items detected]
[Recycle?]
[Yes | No]
My hands gripped the wall... blood dripped from my nose as something inside me changed, unable to understand or spare the thoughts to do so. I gave up. Instead, the blue and green neon screens flashed constantly with the soft voice of the System sister.
"Do it... Stop bombarding me.... Urk..."
Since coming to the south, I stopped relying on the System and obsessing because I couldn’t use half the features while away from a safe zone. However, now it was time to start using it effectively—the world wasn’t static, and I needed to evolve with it.
[Dismantling commencing...]
The voice of System Sister faded, and since I complained, her tone became gentle, like a cotton bedsheet wrapped around my ears.
It didn’t take long for me to notice the changes in reality.
Metal scraps, burned corpses, rusted copper bars, and all sorts of rubbish started to dissolve into particles of light. At first, I thought nobody would notice, but some of the soldiers and people began to comment.
"Hey, where did all that trash go?"
"I dunno, but the stench left with it, so who cares?"
Without the scraps and waste, the sour scent faded, bringing a crisper taste.
[Dismantling Complete!]

• Plastic + 500
• Glass + 350
• Cloth + 2000
[I used some items to repair the damage compound, including walls, floors and other areas.]
’No problem, Sister.’
With a palm pressed against the cold wall, I closed my eyes and pushed the cooling ice qi from Mu Qinglan through my body, wrapping it with the faint wind qi from Liang Mei.
A frigid chill replaced the throbbing pain while the current resources glowed in front of my eyes, like a child in a candy store.
I couldn’t help but feel excited.

The amount of resources allowed me to have some fun, but the most important thing to upgrade was this horrible wall. If the zombies so much as sneezed on it, then it was over.
Thankfully, only Zombies above Stage Four could destroy it, but the durability would still slowly decrease if Stage Two and Three zombies pummeled it constantly.
Unlike my first territory, why doesn’t this one have such high defence?
[Because this isn’t your core base, if you moved the first safe zone inside these walls, then it would boost the defensive level of the walls by one stage.]
I see... thanks for the information.
That wasn’t an option right now; it would leave those people back north and old Zhou in danger. I couldn’t leave their lives to Wen Qiming alone.
’Then for now, we just need to focus on improving the wall.’
With the two blue buttons swirling, I wanted to focus on the defence, but part of me screamed to keep it.
But this defence is so low...
[Upgrade Makeshift Stone and Metal Wall?]
• Metal: -500
• Stone: -2000
• Glass: -200
Instantly, I lost a lot of the resources gained, but the walls suddenly creaked and shook, with cracks and a slight wobble; something close to a tofu wall suddenly flashed with light.
All of a sudden, the wall grew a metre taller and thicker with a metallic sheen, and the stone became a smooth and polished surface. It combined metal and stone to create a new wall and upgraded the barbed wire and spikes along its top.
"Damn, that was expensive..."
Along the surface, bulletproof glass allowed those resting in the guard house atop could still see clearly, and something I added hung on the wall with massive bullet belts dangling.
Fifteen Miniguns with dual Gatling cannons.
"John?" Jiang Siwan’s voice called out from behind me, a hint of shock in her words. She stood beside me, her eyes wide, her mouth open as she looked at the wall. "How did you do this...?"
She traced the solid stairwell, now big enough for three people to climb side by side to avoid any trampling or danger if things became dangerous. "Follow me," I called out to her, taking the older woman’s hand. "I will show you how to use these, and you can teach the soldiers."
"O-Oh... yes." Her fingers slipped into mine, a soft and warm sensation. A smile crept across my lips as we climbed the stairs. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

The miniguns were heavy, but with the help of the System, they would be easier to move and operate. "You see this? The digital panel will adjust for those without the necessary skill. So put the weaker shooters on them." Many of the soldiers rubbed their heads, confused, as if they had just woken up in a strange fever dream.
Although the System helped with people accepting strange things, there were limits.
"The floor is solid... I could dance on here." Siwan muttered, tapping the floor with her boots, a smile growing on her lips as she stroked the smooth metal minigun turret with a shimmer in her eyes.
"Can we win... with this?"
Her hopeful eyes turned to me, and I could only shake my head.
"Against Stage Three zombies and below, yes." I swallowed; her hopeful eyes made me feel a sense of guilt and dread. "But for Stage Four and above... will rely completely on you, me and the girls who follow me."
Siwan’s lips pursed together as she took a deep breath. Her expression hardened, and she turned to the soldiers.
"Listen up, the next few hours will be the most dangerous in your lives. But we are not helpless; we have a chance to survive and live. Get as much rest as you can, because in the next twenty hours we’ll face the biggest threat since this hellish world changed!"
"YES MA’AM!"
Jiang Siwan turned to face me, "I will have the guards and men rested as much as possible."
"Good, just don’t let your guard down, zombies might sneak in."
"Of course... who do you think I am?"
"Haha, well the belts and ammunition for the miniguns are located in each guard tower, I bought a lot... so it should help you."
"Mmmm.... how can we ever repay you?" She looked at me, "even if it’s confusing and strange... doing so much for us and my family." Her eyes became half-lidded, a slight pink hue spread across her cheeks, and her tongue licked her lips.
"Ah well, you’re my woman and so is Roulan right? So does it matter."
"Oh!?"
The moment I said those words, her face transformed, a bewitching smile spread across it, and her eyes shone brightly. She leaned forward and wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me closer, her soft breasts squished against me.
"You’re right. We are your women. You’re our man, so of course you’d help. But... how do a man and woman usually express their thanks?" Her voice became sultry, and her hot breath spread across the side of my neck and ear.
"Ah... I don’t know, what do you think?" I wrapped my arms around her waist, stroking her lower back, reaching for the swelling rump beneath my fingertips.
"You’re such a devilish man, we don’t have enough time..."
She pulled back and looked at me with a playful smile. "You’ll have to wait until after the horde to get your reward." She winked and pulled away, her hands slipping from mine and leaving a trace of heat behind.
"Isn’t it you getting the reward?" I shouted down the stairs, and she froze, looking up at me and pausing for a moment before her smile, big and beautiful, bloomed like a mature rose.
"You’re right, it’ll be a reward for both of us."
Her words lingered in the air, but soon she left to prepare the soldiers.
Now alone, I looked at the remaining items in the System.
"It’s about time I go meet Liang Mei... this should change her life and allow me to gain another powerful combat asset..."
In my inventory, along with the Stage Four and Five core. I kept close to a hundred of the lower cores... and planned to use them when I gave Liang Mei her new heart.
"Though the method of sharing them might make her upset."
Because I would gain barely anything from them... I would absorb most of it to avoid her suffering too much. I planned to raise Zhou Xue, Tang Wei and Liang Mei to Stage Four... and Stage Five, if possible.
"Let’s see... where is my plump little rabbit."
