Apocalypse with my SSS Harem Beauties-Chapter 79: Nadine’s Charge
The whip still coiled tight, dragging Kade’s burned body inch by inch back toward the pool.
"AAAARGHH!!"
His voice cracked with raw agony, every movement scraping acid deeper into his scorched flesh.
Then a blur of red cut across the battlefield.
Nadine’s Veinpiercer carved through the tendril with a single vicious slash. The bone whip instantly snapped apart, ichor spraying as the severed piece writhed and curled.
Clara wasted no time. She clutching Kade’s broken body and pulling with all her strength. Nadine grabbed him under the shoulder, the two women then dragging him across the scarred ground until they were far enough from the steaming pool.
Once they stopped, Clara’s hands trembled as she looked at the horrific burns crawling across Kade’s back.
His skin blistered, raw, and blackened, steam still rising from the wounds. His hoarse screams made her chest tighten.
Nadine’s jaw clenched hard, her grimace showing the pain she felt at the sight. But her eyes hardened a second later.
She forced herself to stand and be strong again even as Kade’s cries clawed at her heart.
"You stay with him," Nadine said sharply, never letting her gaze leave the titan.
Clara’s head jerked up. "What about you?"
"I’ll hold it," Nadine replied, voice flat, almost cold. "Until the others are done and can come to us."
Her knuckles whitened around the spear. She didn’t wait for Clara’s answer.
She simply turned with muscles taut and dashed straight toward the bone serpent titan again.
Her figure blurred under the glow of Veinpiercer’s pulsing edge, each step carving deep into the dirt.
The titan let out another thunderous roar. Then more bones tendrils whipping through the air to meet her charge.
But Nadine didn’t falter.
She lowered her stance, eyes burning with killing intent.
And then she leapt into the storm of bone tendrils while thrusting her spear first.
The titan’s body convulsed, bone tendrils lashing out in a storm of snapping whips.
The attacks came fast like a rain of jagged whip that aiming to shred Nadine into pieces.
But Nadine was ready for all of that.
Her feet dug into the earth, then pushed off and her body became a blur a moment later.
The Veinpiercer spun in her grip as a streak of crimson light cleaving through the night.
CLANG! CLANG!
Bone shattered, sparks hissed, rotten ichor sprayed.
One tendril came from the left, she pivoted to the side and pierced it apart at the middle and cut it down instantly.
Another one snapped from above, she whipped her spear up, the tip splitting it in the air.
Two more from her right crossed together and the bones on it protruded like fangs on bone hooks aiming for her throat.
She dodge, her spear sweeping in a wide arc, the red glow tracing a half-moon that cleaved them both in one strike.
Her movements were sharp but also fluid after her level up and her stat points being spent on Agility.
Her dodge immediately flows into a counter, each counter flowing into the next dodge, and then bones keep flying.
The ground beneath her feet cracked with every leap, dust spraying as she weaved between the whipping storm.
Dozens of tendrils blurred into a wall of bone around her, but Nadine didn’t slow.
More precisely, she couldn’t.
Every thrust of Veinpiercer sent a ripple of energy down its shaft, piercing the bone whips.
Every slash was clean and merciless, her weapon never still and her attack was never wasted.
In moments, the battlefield around her was littered with writhing severed tendrils.
The titan howled, its body jerking as pain racked its massive frame, the sockets of its skull blazing with fury.
A cluster of five tendrils suddenly shot at once, weaving together into a jagged spear aimed to impale her in the middle of her movement.
Her pupils shrank. She shifted her weight, muscles screaming, and twisted sideways in the middle of the air.
The bone spear whooshed past her ribs, grazing her clothes. Before she even landed, she turned her body with the momentum, her spear stabbing forward like lightning.
CRACK!
The cluster split apart, bone fragments raining down as Nadine hit the ground with a roll.
Dirt spraying around her and she immediately launched back into the storm.
Her breathing was ragged now, sweat running down her temple. Every tendon in her arms and legs burned from the relentless pace.
But her eyes remained locked forward and unyielding.
With every deflected whip, every severed tendril, Nadine was forcing herself closer to the titan’s main body.
Step by step, cut by cut, she carved a bloody path toward the titan’s core.
The serpent titan shrieked, writhing in fury as the storm of bone thickened even further.
But Nadine only gritted her teeth, spear glowing brighter, and roared in her heart.
"I’ll cut through all of you!"
Then she surged forward again, her figure swallowed by the storm of whips.
—
Amidst the clash, Myles’s eyes flicked for an instant to the far side of the battlefield.
Through the rain of dust and sparks, he caught sight of Nadine.
Her figure blurred in and out between whipping tendrils, her spear carving glowing arcs that shredded the attacks around her as she charged into the storm of bone tendrils.
A chill crawled down his spine.
Worry and dread bit into his chest.
If Nadine misstepped even once it will be bad. The thought made his gut twist.
He also heard a scream tore across the battlefield. But Myles couldn’t even look for its source because the titan before him surged again at him.
One misstep here and he would join whoever screamed just now.
Gritting his teeth, he forced his focus back forward.
Sam, Daniel, and Ryan still fought not far from him, they were occupied with the tide of smaller skulls that rained to the ground and snapped with gnashing jaws.
Every time one landed, its dark sockets lit with blue fire and lunged. The three of them darted and slashed, barely keeping the swarm from overwhelming them.
The battlefield was chaotic.
Myles could feel it in every frantic breath.
This was the worst fight they’d ever been thrown into.
And if they kept dragging it out, they would all break first.
He couldn’t allow that.
Myles tightened his grip around Fangblade, the dark metal vibrating faintly in his palm as if it understood his resolve. His eyes sharpened, fixed on the titan.
He dashed forward, closing the gap with unrelenting speed.
His MP surged, drained in heavy waves as he forced his skill to the surface.
He uses Shadow Rend.
The Fangblade howled with black-red energy, the edges blurring as he swung.
One arc of darkness ripped through the titan’s rib wall.
A second followed instantly, carving deep grooves across bone.
SLASH—!
SLASH—!
SLASH—!
Each strike chained into the next, five total cleaving rifts of shadow and crimson cutting into the titan’s main body.
The air vibrated, sparks of corrupted energy burning in the wake of each strike.
The titan reeled, its towering frame staggering backward, its sockets flaring wide with a shock that finally pierced through its fury.
Its movements lost rhythm, its massive bone arms flailing as its body cracked open wider.
His chest heaving as the MP drain left his veins burning.
The bone titan let out a guttural roar, its footing unsteady and it tumbled backward.
