Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World-Chapter 84: Xiao Lei
Su Yining nearly collapsed to the floor.
"Little Black, what are you doing?" She helplessly entered the room and picked up the little kitten.
Her beloved Devil’s Ivy, ah!
The vase was all broken. The kitten had been sitting on the leaves of the Devil’s Ivy a few seconds, close enough from scratching it into pieces. Luckily, she came in time. Otherwise, her potted plant could no longer be saved.
Looking at the soil scattering all over the floor, she was heartbroken. However, soon, she noticed that, the damage on her Devil’s Ivy was just one of the mess in the room.
The little one was also covered in something else besides the soil. Something wet, similar to minced meat. Hold up a second... it was indeed minced meat. The only available minced meat was from the little kitty’s food.
Su Yining turned around, noticing rows of opened cat food. She was utterly astonished.
Her focus had been on her Devil’s Ivy earlier, so she hadn’t noticed the mess on the bag where she had put the cat’s food in.
She went to check them and was even more shocked. Initially, she was worried the cat might not like the taste if she just by randomly from one brand, so she directly bought three. In total with the combination of wet and dry food, she had six food packages!
Now, there was only faint traces of the food. All were gone!
What kind of monstrous thing this cat was? She slowly examined the little one who was pretending to be dead.
"Did you eat all of this?" She asked, flipping it around and finding that its stomach was completely flat. Where had all the food gone to?
She put the cat down, and began to search all over the room. Maybe the cat had dragged out its contents somewhere... yet, she found nothing even after searching for fifteen minutes.
"You really ate it, Little Black!" She said in a shocked tone. "How can your small body stomach all of that? What kind of cat are you?"
Bewilderment decorated her face. She almost thought she was dreaming.
The little kitten, which had been sitting obediently on a loaf bread cat position suddenly let out a series of ’meows’ as if it was protesting.
"I wasn’t calling you fat," Su Yining said in a daze.
The endless stream of meows still hadn’t stopped. It even jumped toward her, shaking its head.
Su Yining froze, and her breath caught in her throat. "Can you understand what I am saying?"
The cat stared at her innocently. For a moment, Su Yining thought she was becoming silly. How can a cat understand human’s words... but then again they might really do.
They just ignored them.
"Little Black, are you some kind of magical cat?" She wondered.
This time, unexpectedly the cat opened its noisy little mouth again, as if it was trying to convey something.
Su Yining had a ridiculous thought. "Do you not like your name?"
It oddly became quiet, staring at her expectantly with its black, grape-like eyes. She took a deep breath. "Alright, you don’t like that I am calling you Little Black, right?"
She felt like she was living in a fantasy world. The cat she picked uo was actually such a magical cat! It could understand her words...
"What kind of name do you want for yourself? Little White?" She asked the only name she could think of.
Why does she felt like it was rolling its eyes at her? Su Yining was a little stumped, getting despised by a cat.
However, at this moment, she still didn’t feel that it was real; she was probably still dreaming.
The little cat clawed at her hands without using its nail, just trying to get her attention back. Su Yining snapped out of her daze. Her gaze becoming much more complex.
"Have you decided what kind of name you want for yourself?" She asked, wanting to see what this cat would come up with.
Of course, when she saw this cat acting like some sort of monster like this, her first thought was to get away from it, or maybe getting rid of it because it could endanger her life.
However, when she stared at its innocent eyes, she couldn’t bring herself to do that. Forget it, the cat hasn’t hurt her until now, anyway.
It probably was like these demons in legends, cultivating immortality trying to achieve human form! Hence, it had more intelligence compared to normal cats. It was even smart enough to clung to her and made people mistook her as its owner to help it pay off its debts.
All of a sudden, loud thunder noise followed by a flash of lightning startled her. She let out a surprised gasp.
Damn, she almost got a heart attack! Her hand rubbed her chest, slowly taking in a deep breath. She went to check the window.
The moon was still hanging above, and the temperature was a little cold. There was no signs it was going to rain today. Her eyes subconsciously fell on the kitten licking its front paws.
As if sensing her gaze, the kitten lifted its head and stared at her.
Her mouth twitched. She asked hesitantly, "Little Moon?"
The cat shook its head, throwing a tantrum and clawed at her table, meowing loudly.
The thunder earlier... was it the little kitten’s doing? She suddenly had another ridiculous notion.
"Then, Little Lightning?"
The cat tilted its head.
"Little Lei?"
Its eyes blinkee rapidly before it came barrelling toward her, landing on her feet and rubbed its head on her. As if happiness and relief was written all over every strand of its fur.
This woman almost named it lousy names like Little Black or Little White. How could it not feel disdainful. Little Lei sounded more domineering!
Su Yining’s temples throbbed when she saw the human-like flash of disdain in its two black eyes. It was confirmed now. This cat wasn’t an ordinary cat!
It could scheme against her and even picked its own name!
The revelation was still so surprising that she didn’t know how to feel at this moment. Her astonishment hadn’t faded until the clock struck midnight.
The cat, after happily having its bath—which was not so cat–like behavior—was now nestled on her side, fast asleep. Meanwhile, she still couldn’t sleep.
She subconsciously took her phone from the bedside table. When she realized she was holding her phone, she suddenly remembered something.
Han Zhicong’s matter. She hadn’t asked her brother yet. Now that she remembered, she sent him a message before forgot again, asking him whether he really beaten him up or not. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Her brother didn’t immediately reply, and she almost instinctively opened her farming game again. She became puzzled.
Even at such a late night, her Yuanyuan was still busy reading something. A lit candle was placed beside his book, illuminating the words on it.
Unfortunately, in her eyes, they became random, incoherent scribbles.
Because she had no one else she could share with, she decided to left him with a message, talking about the strange cat. If she were to tell her brother, she was afraid he would probably chop it to pieces.
"Ziyuan, I met a strange cat today. It fooled me and even picked its own name. Strange, right?"
