Apocalyptic World: Surviving with my husband and my cute little babies-Chapter 128: I’ll gouge your eyes out
Chapter 128: I’ll gouge your eyes out
Trixie and Troy had been in City A for nearly a month, and they finally reached their grandfather with the help of someone from Military A.
Unfortunately, their grandfather couldn’t send backup forces from City D because of the ongoing disaster.
This left Trixie and Troy trapped in the hotel. Thankfully, when Troy came to City A, he managed to bring more subordinates with him.
However, their knowledge of upcoming disasters was now useless since the typhoon had already occurred, making their cooperation with Military A pointless.
To make matters worse, with General Kaiser and Brother Elias already stationed at Military A, their infiltration mission was at a standstill.
They were left scrambling for alternative ways to accomplish their mission.
Now that the hotel they were staying at was no longer providing basic supplies, their situation had become serious.
Trixie was so angry that she kept throwing things in frustration, while Troy watched her with disdain.
"Are you going to join us? We’re leaving for the nearest mall," Troy said, trying to keep his tone steady despite his anxiety.
With no more supplies left in the hotel, he knew he had to act quickly to scavenge from nearby buildings.
He had already gathered quite a bit over the past weeks by raiding other places, but it wasn’t enough. So he was now considering hitting the mall for a bigger haul.
"Why would I go there?" Trixie screamed, her frustration boiling over.
"Then don’t. Just wait here," Troy replied, not bothering to look back as he dashed out of her messy unit.
But then he heard her call out, "Wait! I’ll join you."
Trixie suddenly realized she needed cosmetic supplies. Since Troy wanted to go to the mall, she figured it was the perfect opportunity to snag some new products for herself.
Troy was confused by her sudden change of mind, but he didn’t ask. Instead, he instructed his subordinate to prepare for the trip.

Meanwhile, Elena and the others finally arrived at the mall they wanted to check. It took them two hours to navigate the dangerous waters to get here.
As they approached, Ethan looked around for a safe entrance while ensuring the motorboat was stored discreetly in the space.
After searching for a bit, they finally found a window they could use to get inside.
They entered the mall excitedly, especially Andrei, who was eager to find free items.
Inside, the building had six floors, and water was rising from below, already flooding the second floor.
As they walked, they noticed signs of previous looting all around, with debris scattered and displays turned upside down.
The chaos showed that others had been there before, looking for anything valuable.
Staying alert, they moved cautiously through the mall, unsure if anyone else might still be around.
"Let’s head towards the jewelry shop," Elena suggested.
Since they already had plenty of supplies, she decided not to compete with others for more.
Right now, she values the jewelry more. However, if she found anything else that seemed usable, she would take it for herself.
Everyone agreed, and they quickly went upstairs. As they passed an area, they saw some people scavenging for supplies.
The looters looked at them with caution, but they didn’t say anything and just kept walking, minding their own business.
After a short walk, they spotted the door of a well-known jewelry store. It was tightly closed, looking like it hadn’t been pried open by anyone yet.
"This shop seems to be intact. Let’s collect the items inside," Ethan said.
Hearing this, Elena nodded and instructed the others, "Alright, go check if anyone is around."
Knowing that the other looters were busy in the supply section, she quickly stored the locks and the sturdy steel bar in her space.
Then, they walked into the elegant area of the shop.
Inside, they saw sparkling diamonds, gold necklaces, jade bangles, and high-end watches arranged neatly on display. The most valuable items were stored behind sturdy glass cases.
This glass was bullet-resistant and designed to withstand substantial impacts, making it very hard to break. Even with tools, it would take a long time to get through.
Luckily, with space, they could easily take the items.
Andrei laughed at the sight of the beautiful jewelry and quickly grabbed a few pieces to examine them.
"With this diamond and all these other expensive pieces, I could never imagine owning something like this, even if I sold everything I have. Just look at the crazy prices!" Andrei exclaimed, his eyes wide with amazement.
"Yeah, enough chit-chat. Let’s get to work," Ethan replied firmly. "We don’t have much time."
Everyone quickly focused on looting the jewelry, taking everything they could touch. Meanwhile, Elena carefully stored the items behind the sturdy glass.
"Wife, should we also take the sturdy glass?" Ethan asked, glancing back at the protective cases.
Elena nodded in agreement. "You’re right. We might be able to use it later."
After emptying the jewelry shop of its treasures, they quickly moved on to the next store, ready to repeat the process of looting.
Fortunately, the other looters were focused on the supply area, which made it easy for them to loot the jewelry shop without any interruptions.
They worked quickly, gathering as many valuable items as they could.
After several hours, they finally finished looting the jewelry shop.
Checking the time on her watch, Elena realized it was getting late.
She decided it was time to head back, knowing that it would soon be evening and navigating the area would become dangerous.
"With these jade, I hope we can finally upgrade the Golden Tablet," Elena whispered as Ethan held her hand while they made their way downstairs.
"Don’t pressure yourself," Ethan said gently. "If it’s enough, that’s great. If not, don’t force it. Remember, we still need them to maintain Paradise."
"Alright, I’ll listen to you," Elena replied, smiling back at him, feeling reassured by his words.
The moment Trixie saw them, her anger boiled inside her.
She watched as they walked happily together, and she felt the urge to stop them and confront Ethan about his behavior.
Just as she was about to run over, Troy grabbed her arm to hold her back.
He couldn’t understand why Trixie was acting so weird. The way she stared at the man and the woman seemed a bit crazy.
"What the f*ck are you doing?" Troy cursed, frustrated by her behavior.
"Take your hands off me and move," Trixie glared at him like a madwoman.
They began arguing loudly, which caught Elena’s attention. When she saw them, she was taken aback.
’Why are they here?’
Before she could think more about it, she noticed Vivian walking toward her with a sad expression.
’What kind of drama is she going to perform?’
"Elena, it really is you. Please save my father; he has a fever," Vivian said, tears streaming down her face as she tried to gain sympathy.
Elena stared at her coldly, but didn’t say a word; inside, she was impressed by Vivian’s dramatic performance.
Vivian continued her act, crying pitifully, "We are cousins. Regardless of what has happened, we still need to support one another. Please come back and help us this time."
Vivian remembered Trixie’s promise that if they could lure Elena to their home, she would reward them with supplies. So, she acted all out this time, trying to lower Elena’s guard.
Elena still did not react; she just listened to Vivian’s one-sided rambling.
’Cousin by law, since my grandfather adopted your father. But we don’t have blood ties.’
Elena recalled this from her past life because Grandpa Caldwell had shared Grandpa Smith’s history with her.
Uncle William had come from an orphanage that Grandma Smith had supported through charity, and later, she adopted him.
Back in the present, Vivian couldn’t take it anymore. She tried to get closer to Elena, hoping to grab her arms and persuade her, just as she had done before.
But Elena kicked her to the ground.
"First, we are not cousins. Ask your father about it; he knows better than I do. So stop calling me that, it makes me sick," Elena said sharply.
"Second, how can I help you? Do you think I own a hospital? If he is sick, then take him to the hospital. Stop trying to fool me; it won’t work."
Her words left Vivian stunned and speechless, and she began to cry from the pain.
When Trixie finally got free, she quickly approached Elena and angrily accused her, "You’re so heartless! If you don’t want to help her, just say so. Why do you have to hurt her and make up ridiculous excuses?"
Elena looked at Trixie and sneered, "Since you’re friends with her and have such a good heart, why didn’t you help her and take her father to the hospital?"
"Of course I would do that! I’m not like you, cold-hearted," Trixie replied, glancing at Ethan proudly for her act of kindness.
Elena clapped her hands three times and said mockingly, "Then why is she still asking for help? Since you already promised, she should stop acting. And stop staring at my husband, or else I’ll gouge your eyes out!"
"You... what does it matter to you if I stare at Brother Ethan?" Trixie said boldly.
"Oh, you’re still not over my husband, but unfortunately, we’re happily married. So, you can only look at us from afar, right, Husband?" Elena replied playfully, making Trixie even more envious.
When Ethan nodded happily, Trixie couldn’t hold back any longer. She lunged at Elena, trying to fight her with her bare hands.
’This shameless woman is at it again. If they can’t win, they try to use force,’ Elena thought.
But this time, Elena reacted differently. She threw a knife directly at Trixie.
Just as the knife was about to hit her, Trixie tripped and fell to her knees, narrowly avoiding the blade that had been thrown at her.
’Tsk, this Heaven is so annoying.’
She really wished the cycle would start so that Heaven would stop interfering. It was making her very frustrated.
Troy was shocked to see a woman throw a knife at Trixie. He quickly instructed his bodyguard to protect his cousin.
"Boss, that’s the woman we were telling you about—the one who bombed the bunker in City B," Marc said, trying to paint Elena as the cause of the events that happened there.
He still couldn’t forget how she had tried to kill him and Vivian back in City B while demanding to know Lydia’s whereabouts.
Troy’s demeanor suddenly became dangerous. He ordered his bodyguards to raise their guns and point them at Elena.
