Chapter 134: Chapter 134: Camille Turned Young?

It took almost no time at all for Jinx to become the unquestioned boss of Karina’s little circle.

Logan, meanwhile, got completely ignored—but he didn’t mind. He looked elsewhere, ate a bit more, and waited for the dancing to start.

But before the ballroom portion of the banquet officially began, Jayce showed up.

When he spotted Jinx and Logan sitting with a group of Piltover girls, surprise flashed across his face. Then Jayce strode over and said to Logan with a serious expression, "Logan, come here a second. I need to talk to you."

Seeing how serious Jayce looked, Logan nodded. He was about to tell Jinx he’d be right back—

Only to see Jinx calmly grab a napkin, wipe her hands, and then, as naturally as breathing, reach out and take Logan’s hand.

Logan didn’t hesitate. He told Karina, "See you," stood up, glanced at Seraphine, and then left with Jinx in tow.

Karina looked reluctant—though not because of Logan.

It was Jinx she didn’t want to lose.

She leaned forward and asked quietly, "Jinx... later, can I come to Zaun to hang out with you?"

Jinx replied in her usual cool, blunt way, "Do whatever you want."

"If you want to come, then come. Your legs are attached to you."

After that, Jinx didn’t look back at Karina—she just followed Logan as Jayce led them toward another area.

On the way, Logan couldn’t help asking Jinx where she’d learned to say things like that. She blinked and said, "Learned? I didn’t learn it. That’s just what I think."

Jayce brought them into a room, and inside, the Councilors of Zaun and Piltover were all gathered.

Mel’s face looked heavy. Standing beside her was Councilor Kiramman, worried enough to look like she’d aged ten years in one night.

Silco’s face was calm, but Logan knew him well enough to see it wasn’t natural.

In other words, Silco was putting on an act again.

"What happened?" Logan asked as he walked in.

"Clan Ferros sent word," Mel said, stepping forward. "The Noxian invasion of Ionia is over. Ionia won, and they’ve driven the Noxians out of Navori. At the same time, Ionian resistance fighters have organized the Navori Brotherhood. I’m hearing their leader is only a fourteen-year-old girl."

Logan froze.

He did the math in his head—and realized this was far earlier than he’d expected.

Because by the story’s background, at this point in time, shouldn’t Swain have only just returned to Noxus? Shouldn’t he still be locked in a power struggle with LeBlanc, digging into the secrets buried deep within the Immortal Bastion?

So how was the invasion already over?

Logan knew when the war truly ended: the moment Swain seized power and issued the withdrawal order.

But right now—going by the Noxian calendar—this should be Year 987.

And in Year 987, Swain’s arm should have only just been cut off by Irelia.

So... the timeline was messed up again?

This was happening two or three years earlier than Logan had anticipated.

Mel shifted aside. "The details... it’s better if she tells you herself."

Mel stepped away, and Logan saw the woman standing behind her:

White hair. Tall, long-limbed, with a high, elegant posture.

She had a slim, refined face. Her presence radiated cold. Her eyes were narrow and sharp, with a bright, predatory gleam.

When she saw Logan looking at her, she rose from her chair. With perfect grace, she placed one hand behind her back, stood straight, and said softly, "Clan Ferros. Camille."

She introduced herself.

But Logan’s face turned into a blank, questioning stare.

The woman in front of him was about Caitlyn’s height, but her limbs were even longer. Those legs were so long that at first glance they looked like they reached up to Jinx’s chest.

Jinx’s legs were already long—but compared to this woman, it was like a kid standing next to an adult.

Yet what truly shocked Logan was her name.

Camille.

She called herself Camille—and specifically, Camille of Clan Ferros.

But judging by her face alone, she looked at most thirty-something. Her skin was pale and smooth, with no wrinkles at the corners of her eyes, none along her cheeks. More importantly—

There wasn’t the faintest sign of mechanical augmentation anywhere on her body.

When she offered her hand, Logan noticed calluses along her fingertips, along with countless thin scars like thread marks.

A woman like this... claiming she was Camille?

First, the Noxian invasion of Ionia suddenly ended early—Noxus’s timeline shifted.

And now a beautiful, white-haired woman in her early thirties stood in front of him and calmly said she was Camille.

Could Runeterra’s timeline really swing this wildly?

Logan had always known that as he grew stronger and his influence expanded, more and more things would change. Like the butterfly effect—especially with the Spirit Blossom system and Ahri at his back, Logan was going to alter countless events across Runeterra.

The war ending early, he could understand.

After all, he’d personally shattered Noxus’s coastline and sunk several warships. Of course the Noxians would be afraid. In their minds, the person who did that was Ionian.

Thinking about it now, Logan’s actions back then were basically the equivalent of Noxus marching into the Placidium, and then Karma stepping out and dropping one massive blast. Noxus would look at that and go: What the hell? Ionia has something like that? One attack can sink hundred-meter warships—why are we even fighting?

In the end, it was because Logan had shown up in Ionia and done what he did that the invasion ended so early.

But Camille... what was this?

When did the butterfly effect start coming with time-travel perks?

In Logan’s understanding, Camille—Piltover’s true power in the shadows, the twin cities’ hidden boss—should be old enough to be Jayce’s grandmother.

But looking at her now...

She was clearly Jayce’s generation.

How did she go from "grandmother" to "same age"?

"Camille Ferros?" Logan asked again, emphasizing every syllable.

Camille nodded. "Now that the two cities are cooperating, Ferros intelligence must be shared with Zaun as well, Councilor Logan."

"According to what I’ve learned, the defeated commander of the invasion has already returned to Noxus and is awaiting judgment by a military tribunal. And many of Noxus’s major noble houses are unhappy with the twin cities—secretly planning retaliation."

She continued, voice calm and precise.

"Cutting off trade with Noxus doesn’t hurt us—it hurts Noxus. Most of the Noxian merchants in Piltover are here on assignment from major Noxian families to launder money."

"They bring their ’spoils’ to Piltover, move them through multiple hands, and convert them into clean wealth before sending it back. Now that channel has been severed, so they’re planning revenge in the shadows."

Logan asked, "Where did you get that information?"

"Ferros has plenty of business in Noxus," Camille replied softly. "Noxus isn’t as all-seeing as people imagine. Or rather—people can’t just stroll in and out of Noxus whenever they please."

She added, "That’s also why the invasion ended. So much manpower was pulled elsewhere that Noxus no longer had troops to spare in Ionia."

Silco spoke up from the side, tone cool. "You said you’d only reveal their plan after meeting Logan. So now that you’ve met him—are you going to tell us what Noxus is actually planning?"

Camille narrowed her eyes at Silco, as if weighing him.

Then she brought her hand from behind her back, clasped both hands neatly in front of her, and said, "The specific plan... please allow me to explain it in full to everyone."
