Are You Crazy? You're Telling Me This Is a Fugitive TV Show?-Chapter 230: Final Assault, One Man vs. Several
“Five minutes, we’re almost there, hang on!” Wang Yue’s voice, accompanied by the howling wind, came through the walkie-talkie.
To save time, they were riding motorcycles. A line of roaring vehicles sped down the street, with motorcycles clearing the way ahead. The sight sobered up any drunken men who had just finished drinking. Some even thought there were gang showdowns.
“I’ll drink a bottle of beer!”
Old Song, under Wang Yun’s cover, managed to reach the chairs behind Kolyev and his men. He threw a beer bottle fiercely at Kolev, who was standing under the chairs.
Crash!
The beer bottle shattered, and the ground instantly erupted into flames.
“Cover your noses, put on your masks, quickly. That gas is toxic,” Kolyev shouted to his men as soon as he saw the beer bottle smash.
“Damn, they have gas masks.”
Old Song Chen was slightly taken aback, realizing this group had come fully prepared.
“What good are masks unless they’re wearing full armor?” Wang Yun said.
He then grabbed his slingshot and casually pulled it back. A small stone hit one of the men squarely on the head. He used tiny coated prop stones to simulate the real effect. In reality, anyone hit by his stones, given his strength and the poison on them, would have a 95% chance of dying. Therefore, in the program, being hit on the head would result in elimination to maintain fairness.
“Captain, the gas is spreading, and our visibility is dropping. We need to move out of here,” one of the program inspectors shouted.
“Stay focused. Don’t let them escape! They have to be around here somewhere,” Kolyev commanded, but his voice showed signs of strain.
The situation was turning against them rapidly.
Wang Yun, seeing the chaos, motioned to his team and said, “This is our chance. We need to break through now.”
His voice was steady, filled with determination.
Brother Hu and Old Song nodded, clutching their makeshift weapons tightly. They knew this could be their only opportunity to escape. With a deep breath, they charged forward, ready to face whatever came their way.

Bang! Bang! Bang!
Wang Yun’s movements were incredibly swift and precise. He seemed to exert minimal effort, yet each small stone from his slingshot hit its target without fail, like a rain of bullets. Each stone struck the members of the opposing team. Some were hit in the arms, others in the chest. While arm injuries could be survivable, strikes to the chest or other critical areas resulted in immediate elimination.
“Fire! Fire and cover!”
“Hold on, reinforcements are coming!”
Kolyev, watching in fear as his team fell one by one, stayed alert, constantly scanning the surroundings.
Wang Yun and his group were positioned on the upper seats, in the spectator area, while Kolyev’s team guarded the exit below. They couldn’t move from their spot. They had to hold the exit. It was clear that Wang Yun and his team planned to escape through this point.
“I’m gonna kill you all today!”
Brother Hu wielded his crossbow, but its size slowed him down. Moreover, the opposing team’s dense gunfire made it difficult for him to stand and shoot. Whenever he found an opportunity, he would fire an arrow, hitting an opponent about one out of every eight shots. Even so, his efforts caused enough disruption.
Meanwhile, Wang Yun was getting closer to the exit.
“Everyone, cover me!”
With about thirty opponents left, Wang Yun shouted back to Brother Hu and the others. He was about to make his move. If they delayed any longer, it would be too late.
“Okay!”
“Prepare to die!”
“Take this arrow!”
The four of them stood up simultaneously, facing the hail of bullets with fierce expressions. Their weapons might not match the lethality of their opponents’, but they weren’t far off. Old Song, in particular, swung his arms with immense force, his movements resembling a whirlwind. However, their ammunition was limited.
“Careful, retreat!”
Kolyev, seeing the four charging recklessly, sensed the danger from above.
Sure enough, Wang Yun was already overhead. As Kolyev’s warning echoed, a nimble figure leaped down from above.
Left hook, right whip kick.
The moment Wang Yun landed, he used the momentum to deliver precise and powerful blows, knocking out two men instantly.
“Wang Yun!” Kolyev shouted in shock as Wang Yun steadied himself.
His men immediately aimed their guns at Wang Yun. But to Wang Yun, their reactions were like slow motion. The nearest man to him hadn’t even turned his gun fully before Wang Yun struck him, sending him flying and disarming him.
In another swift move, Wang Yun had two guns in his hands.
At that moment, he resembled Sylvester Stallone in an action movie.
With both guns blazing, bullets flew mercilessly at each program inspector. He seemed to have the invincibility of a movie protagonist. He eliminated the opponents before him in a mere three seconds.
Three seconds. In those three seconds, Wang Yun eliminated twelve people.
“Crazy! He’s crazy! Get over here quickly. I’m at the west exit. Wang Yun is trying to get out through here. You must catch him!” Kolyev shouted into his radio, then tossed it to the ground.
His eyes were filled with determination, exuding a sense of do-or-die resolve. When a person is determined to the point of risking everything, nothing else matters.
Kolyev picked up a fallen inspector’s gun, holding one in each hand. He stood tall, eyes bloodshot as he stared at Wang Yun.
“Ah!”
With a roar, Kolyev fired.
A hail of bullets erupted, and Wang Yun’s pupils dilated. He flipped backward in midair, grabbing a fallen inspector and using him as a human shield. The piercing alarm on the inspector’s vest was deafening.
“Charge!” Wang Yun shouted.
Old Song, Brother Hu, and the others immediately ran over. They didn’t have time to be shocked by the scene, imitating Wang Yun by grabbing the bodies of fallen team members and using them as shields, charging towards Kolev.
The remaining program inspectors quickly surrounded Kolyev, forming a protective wall.
Wang Yun had Brother Hu and the others protecting him, and likewise, Kolyev had his remaining guards.
Buzzing sounds filled the air. At this point, Kolyev was down to only eight inspectors, and they continued to retreat.
Just as Wang Yun and his team were about to break through, the roar of motorcycles sounded from outside. This roaring noise rekindled hope in Kolyev’s previously desperate eyes, while Wang Yun and his companions were horrified.
“Fight to the death, brothers!”
They had to carve a bloody path through, or everything they had done today would be in vain. This was what Wang Yun thought, and it was the same for the other four brothers. Immediately, they threw aside the human shields they had been using and pushed forward.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Kolyev’s mem fell one after another. Yet, each fallen member, in their final moments, never gave up, steadfastly defending their leader while continuing to fire their weapons.
“Ah!”
“Old Song!”
Old Song was shot in the left leg by a program inspector who used his last breath to fire.
“No worries, don’t mind me.”
Gritting his teeth, Old Song used all his strength to throw a beer bottle, which shattered at Kolyev’s feet. The remaining three team members around Kolyev caught fire on their legs and panicked instantly.
Old Song and Little Gang hurriedly raised their guns and fired, quickly taking down the three. Kolyev’s squad of dozens was reduced to just Kolyev in ten minutes.
