Assassin at Range: The Sniper's Lethal Power-Chapter 78 - : Time to Strike!
Gurgle...
The sound of a goblin’s stomach growling echoed through the valley, a low rumble that seemed to signal the beginning of the feast. It was as if a signal flare had been fired, sparking a chorus of protests from hundreds, even thousands of goblins, all complaining about their hunger in a thunderous uproar.
Bonecrusher stood up, tearing off a leg from the roasted carcass and leading by example.
"Eat, my children!"
At his command, the starving goblins immediately pounced on the roasted meat by the fire, tearing into it with ravenous hunger.
Tristan moved stealthily, carefully selecting his position for the first strike. He had already memorized the layout of the campfire circle during his previous observation. Combining the spread of the Toxic Blood Plague and the fire’s layout, he calculated the best spot to trigger the first wave of chaos.
The fire was arranged in concentric rings, with the densest concentration of flames closest to Bonecrusher, while the outer rings had larger gaps of distance—ten to twenty meters apart—which would not allow the plague to spread efficiently.
Therefore, the first strike had to be made close to Bonecrusher, right in the heart of the camp. It was risky, but it had to be done. After all, Bonecrusher was a Gold Grade BOSS, fast and deadly, with jump and charge abilities that could easily disrupt the attack if not timed properly.
Taking a deep breath, Tristan withdrew to a spot several dozen meters back and aimed for two goblins that were lost in their feast. Activating Shadow Dagger and Rain of Corruption, he struck in quick succession.

The Shadow Dagger hit first, delivering high damage thanks to the Breaking Stealth Strike.
Simultaneously, Rain of Corruption fell like arrows, its impact weaker but still enough to kill any regular goblin.
With these two attacks combined, sixteen goblins fell to the ground instantly.
Bonecrusher reacted in a split second. He threw the half-eaten leg bone in Tristan’s direction, grabbed his warhammer, and, with a powerful push from his legs, shot toward Tristan like a cannonball, crossing several dozen meters with incredible speed.
He had warned his subordinates earlier about the potential infiltration, but they hadn’t believed him. Now, he’d deal with them all.
Bonecrusher’s eyes locked onto Tristan, but as he turned his gaze to the ground, he was taken aback.
Sixteen goblins had been killed, but that wasn’t the issue. The real problem was the spread of Toxic Blood Plague. As the goblins died, their dark green blood splattered over nearby goblins, causing massive damage.
Within moments, hundreds of goblins had turned green, their health plummeting in a cascade, like an avalanche.
"This is the ability of the blood tribe!" Bonecrusher’s heart burned with fury.
The blood tribe had always looked down on the goblins, considering them inferior. Now, they were sabotaging the gathering, an insult that could not be tolerated!
But as Bonecrusher realized this, he sensed something was wrong.
There was no trace of the blood tribe’s presence in the air.
The realization struck him.
It wasn’t the blood tribe—it was an outsider.
Only outsiders had the ability to wield blood tribe powers without being transformed themselves.
Damn it, how did an outsider discover our gathering? Bonecrusher fumed.
His anger boiled as he dropped from the air and landed heavily on the ground. With his powerful legs, he leapt again, charging forward with the speed of black lightning.
Several goblins that were in the way were instantly smashed into pieces, their bodies flying in all directions.
Tristan, however, was already retreating quickly.
He wasn’t immediately using Stealth again. He wanted to test Bonecrusher’s speed to determine a safe distance. Bonecrusher’s charge was incredibly fast, boosted by his tremendous strength, and his leap had exceptional range. Tristan needed to assess the exact distance before acting.
As Bonecrusher continued to close in, Tristan activated his Bone-Cutting Twin Daggers ability, causing a whirlwind of sharp blades to form around him. He used this to retreat further, evading the charge’s reach by several meters.
Bonecrusher wasn’t surprised. He knew that any outsider capable of taking action against him must be powerful enough to avoid a simple attack.
But Bonecrusher had a backup plan.

After landing, Bonecrusher immediately launched his second wave of offense.
His charge was unhindered by his descent and only seemed to increase in force, like a bulldozer revving up its engine, heading straight for Tristan.
Blink!
In an instant, Tristan vanished and appeared several meters away. Bonecrusher quickly turned, but the inertia of his charge slowed him down just enough to give Tristan the opening he needed.
Tristan activated Shadow Stealth, moving swiftly to avoid Bonecrusher’s deadly assault.
Boom!
Bonecrusher’s hammer slammed into the ground, creating a network of cracks in the earth. The impact shattered rocks beneath the surface, sending sharp shards flying into the air. Had Tristan been caught in that, his health would have been obliterated.
From the shadows, Tristan watched Bonecrusher carefully, his mind calculating the next move. This fight wasn’t going to be easy. Bonecrusher was tough, with the power to knock out entire teams in one swing. He could jump and charge, creating massive area-of-effect damage.
If it hadn’t been for Tristan’s Blink and Bone-Cutting Twin Daggers, plus his high mobility, he would have been done for in the first few seconds.
Now that the biggest threat had been avoided, it was time to reap the rewards.
The battle had been short, but intense, happening in the blink of an eye.
As Tristan slipped back into Stealth, several Silver Grade goblins finally reacted and began running to assist Bonecrusher, but it was already too late.
Bonecrusher’s face darkened as his gaze swept across the area.
"Eyes open! Find the invader!" Bonecrusher roared.
A series of commands followed.
"Goblin archers, fire at every empty space!"
"Scatter the campfires! I don’t believe that stealthy invader can avoid the flames!"
Bonecrusher’s combat instincts were razor-sharp. His orders were meticulous.
Tristan’s Stealth level was high, but not perfect. If the ground was covered with fire, his presence would be exposed. He would need to be careful.
However, Bonecrusher overlooked one crucial point—someone still had to execute the plan.
One of the Silver Grade goblins cried out in shock. "Bonecrusher! Look over there!"
Following the direction, Bonecrusher’s heart sank.
During the earlier wave of attacks, over five hundred goblins had died! The green blood that splattered everywhere was deadly to anyone it touched!
"Divide..."
The command was cut off as Bonecrusher saw a flying knife streak through the air, heading straight for the goblins running to support him.
In their desperation to aid Bonecrusher, these goblins had inadvertently marched straight into their graves.
-70810! (Weak Spot Attack)
Shadow Dagger flashed by, effortlessly killing the goblins in its path.
Then, Toxic Blood Plague erupted, quickly sweeping through the hundreds of goblins.
In an instant, nearly a thousand goblins were wiped out.
"Chime! You’ve killed an 11th-level goblin. You gain 110 experience points."
"Chime! You’ve killed a 13th-level goblin. You gain 130 experience points. Extra 13 experience for defeating a higher-level target."
"Chime! You’ve killed a 14th-level goblin. You gain 140 experience points. Extra 28 experience for defeating a two-level higher target."
"Chime…"
The experience messages flooded in, and Tristan’s experience bar shot up like a wild stallion, impossible to stop as it burst through the limits, gaining more and more levels.
