Attribute Farming System-Chapter 67: Leaving Serpent’s Basin
With the casting of a magic spell, Knox severed the connection that this isolated space had with the Aura-and-Power Restricting Formations of the home:
|True Severance| - (Early-Sky)
Although it was a Martial Skill of the Early-Sky Rank, it was further amplified by his Inner Array Energy. This enhancement elevated it to the equivalent of a Late-Sky Martial Skill, which only emphasized how absurdly overpowered the |Madman's Inner Array| Physique was.
SHING!
BOOOOM!!
"Shattered."
Of course, without Knox's impeccable deception technique, this never would have played out as it did. His appearance was disguised, yes, but there was another, higher-level disguise concealing his true power and secrets beneath that one.
It was, in a way, a precautionary measure.
And because of this cautious approach, he was able to guide events exactly as he intended. He fought the Cobra Empress, gauged her strength, uncovered the truth she was hiding, and then unleashed his true power to break himself and his newfound companion out of the elegantly disguised cage that held her captive.
As for why he was so pleasantly surprised that everything had unfolded just as planned—why he knew that all the hassle was worth it—it was due to something that left even him astonished.
Her 'Secret Prospect.'
Time Cheat.
It was an extremely powerful Saint-rank Prospect, surpassing even most other Saint-rank Physiques and Bloodlines. What made it truly special was its ability to allow anyone in the approximate vicinity—including herself—to comprehend the highly condensed and easily learned Time Law that encapsulated her.
A bubble of Time permanently emanated from her, something that could neither be turned off nor reduced in intensity. Fortunately for her, unless one possessed an overpowered System or had surpassed the Void Refining Realm, this bubble was imperceptible.
It simply existed.
Of course, since it was her Secret Prospect, she could comprehend its mysteries far more easily than anyone else. However, that did not mean others couldn't reap significant benefits from her Time Cheat.
Her mother, the Cobra Empress, was one such example.
Though the Cobra Empress had no knowledge that what she had been comprehending was the Time Law, she understood that being around her daughter altered her perception. Initially, the changes were subtle—minor increases in awareness. But over prolonged exposure, her speed began to undergo drastic improvements.
Subconsciously, she applied her comprehension of the Time Law to accelerate herself, creating the illusion of teleportation.
Among those of the same Realm, she had no equal.
Even if Emperor Tiger Yin, a physically stronger Beast Emperor, were to engage her in battle, she would still emerge victorious after only a few exchanges. After all, when she fought at full power, her Battle Power breached into the Middle Soul Formation Realm. Naturally, this was not reflected in the 'Basic Battle Power' segment of her System sheet.
Just like Bloodlines, esoteric and incomprehensible factors such as Laws and Daos were excluded from the calculations of one's Basic Battle Power.
Yet, it wasn't until Knox confronted her in person that he noticed something amiss—a foreign element influencing her power. This realization prompted him to shift his strategy. Rather than resisting fiercely, he allowed himself to be beaten down. Suffering some injuries meant little in the grand scheme of things, not when the rewards far outweighed the temporary pain.
And so, he made the painful decision to take the loss and endure a thorough thrashing.
"Now, here I am," Knox mused while bursting through the skies at speeds many times faster than light. "Girl in arms and running away from her mentally unstable mother."
"GET BACK HERE, YOU WORM!!!"
The Cobra Empress's furious screams echoed for miles, grating against Knox's ears. Despite his head start, she was gaining on him at an alarming rate. However, he had already planned for this very scenario.
|Random Transportation Talisman| - (Early-Sky)
A Random Transportation Talisman of such quality was exceedingly rare, but Knox had the fortune of adventuring alongside numerous Young Masters on this particular excursion into uncharted lands. If memory served him right, he had 'acquired' it from the corpse of a Duke's heir who, quite obviously, no longer had a use for it.
Regardless of how he came to possess the treasured item, he wasted no time in activating it. Since it was a one-time-use talisman, it visibly withered away and vanished the moment its effect took hold.
As the looming silhouette of a wrathful woman drew closer, Knox shot both middle fingers in her direction, flashing a shit-eating grin. "See ya later, crazy, big-booty bitch!"

"COME BACK HERE AT ONCE!!! MY DAUGHTER!!!"
The Cobra Empress lunged, her hand stretching out in a desperate attempt to seize them. But by then, it was already too late. What she grasped was nothing more than the afterimages left behind by Knox and Lily Serpentine as they vanished into the void.
"YOU FUCKING WORM!!! I'LL KILL YOU!!!"
RUMBLE!!!
A massive portion of Serpent's Basin quaked violently under the weight of the Cobra Empress's cataclysmic fury. This disturbance soon attracted the attention of other Beast Emperors, who arrived at the scene only to find one of their own consumed by uncontrollable rage.
A battle erupted.
One that left Serpent's Basin in utter ruin.
But none of that had anything to do with Knox, now did it?
FWIP!
—Knox and Lily Serpentine reappeared in a remote part of the Region ruled by Emperor Gator, Emerald Fang Swamp—
"Ho?" Knox mused as he scanned his surroundings, immediately noticing several moving shadows beneath the murky green water. Dozens of creatures were converging on their location at alarming speed. "It appears that we have ourselves our own little welcoming brigade. I suppose it would be rude of us not to return the greeting in full."
SHING! SHING!
With his hand moving in a blur, multiple sword arcs slashed outward. The attacks collided with the water, sending massive waves surging in every direction and hurling the approaching gators into the air.
As they were flung mid-flight, their savage forms were put on full display.
Each beast was roughly twenty meters in length, covered in wickedly sharp, green and yellow scales, and radiated raw, primal aggression.
There were about sixty of them in total.
All of whom would soon learn that the human snack they had been expecting was far more than they had bargained for.
