Awakening:The Infinite Evolution of My Talent as a Low-Level Awakener-Chapter 743: The Unyielding Will!
"God of Disaster, Fierce Beast - Fay."
Kun looked up at the massive creature above him, his pupils trembling slightly.
Fay's terrifying aura spread like an eerie domain, enveloping the entire royal city. Within the range of his presence, every god and hell soldier could feel a deep, soul-chilling fear.
If it weren't for the fact that most of the gods were followers of Sterl, possessing an absolute resistance to fleeing or betraying, half of them would likely have already turned and run.
"So this is the legendary powerful Divine Power?" Kun muttered to himself. In hell, he was the guardian of the deepest layer, the strongest being recognized by all of hell. This was the first time he had faced a power at the Divine Power level, and it was, besides Sterl, the most terrifying presence he had ever encountered!
No, perhaps even the aura of the ruler would pale in comparison to Fay's.
However, despite the overwhelming power, Kun did not feel fear. Instead, a rush of excitement surged within him.
He was a pure seeker of the way. On his path of pursuing power, he would willingly die if it meant advancing.
If he were to die at the hands of such a powerful being, he would have no regrets.
"Attention all troops!"
Kun raised his cursed spirit spear high, never taking his eyes off Fay. The spear's tip pointed directly at the sky.
"Annihilate the fierce beast!"
With those words, he roared, and countless evil spirits surged out from within him, forming an Evil Spirit Armor around his body.
This was a technique he had used during his battle with Sterl. The Evil Spirit Armor and the cursed spirit spear were the abilities he had created by condensing the entire malice of hell!
Whoosh!
The Flame of the Evil Spirit surged violently, and Kun's aura exploded like a rocket, soaring toward Fay. His spear swung through the air, leaving a massive afterimage in its wake. Where it passed, the space shattered. The spear headed straight for the massive, blood-red eye of Fay.
"You… seek death!"
Fay looked down, first in slight surprise, then fury bubbled up within him.
He hadn't expected that, even with his true form descending, there would still be an ant daring to provoke him. It was truly suicidal.
"It seems I've been dormant for too long. This world has forgotten my name. Since that's the case, I shall grant you all death!"
With a swipe of his claws, a blood-red afterimage tore through the air.
With incredible speed, his claws struck Kun's spear. Kun's body shuddered, and the cursed spirit spear shattered into dust as if made of paper. His armor cracked into countless fissures, dissipating like foam.
Kun's body fell back to the royal city, faster than when he had come, crashing into the ground with such force that the earth itself trembled.
However, just after eliminating Kun, Fay suddenly realized that those damn ants were all charging at him.
He saw hundreds of thousands of demigod-level soldiers soaring into the sky, using the time Kun had bought them to surround Fay completely. Various Laws and abilities intertwined, forming a massive magical formation.
"Kill! Kill! Kill!!"
With Kun gone, another Lord of Hell stepped forward, and the sky above the royal city was filled with the sounds of slaughter.
Countless of the strongest abilities flooded toward Fay, overwhelming him in a relentless onslaught!
Boom!!
The chaotic elements tore through the space, and even Fay's body disappeared from sight, buried beneath the tide of powers.
The bombardment didn't cease for a moment. They knew that this enemy was unlike any they had faced before. They had to give everything they had, not allowing him a single moment to breathe. If they couldn't suppress him, they would surely die!
More than a hundred thousand demigods, hundreds of gods, and nearly twenty high-level divine authorities, all fired their attacks toward Fay's unknown location. The vast sea of blood trembled under the onslaught.
Yet, despite the furious bombardment, no one dared to celebrate. Fay's presence hadn't faded. Worse still, the terrifying aura of blood continued to expand, growing stronger.
"Get out of my way… NOW!!"
A fierce and enraged roar echoed through the air. Immediately after, a surge of blood and energy swept outward, dissolving all the incoming Laws and abilities.
This was the difference in power, a qualitative gap. At the level of Divine Power, sheer numbers couldn't protect them.
The tactic of overwhelming force, though hailed as unbeatable, only worked when it reached a certain threshold. Clearly… to deal with this Ancient Behemoth, that wasn't nearly enough.
"Good, very good. You have no idea what you're truly facing. I will tear your souls from your bodies and devour them!"
Fay was utterly enraged. He had already suffered a major loss in the core space. He had come to end the damn Profane one, to avenge himself, and restore his lost dignity as a powerful Divine Power.
What he hadn't expected was that as soon as he descended, he was caught off guard by a swarm of ants.
What was even more humiliating was that even demigods, mere ants in his eyes, were showing their claws against him. This was an unbearable insult!
At this moment, all tasks and goals were forgotten. He had only one thought left: to utterly destroy this foolish ant nest that did not know its place or recognize power and respect!
At the center of his forehead, the massive blood-red pupil grew even more dazzling. The surging blood energy spread violently, and these waves of blood seemed almost conscious, frantically eroding the bodies and souls of the surrounding hell soldiers.
The overwhelming aura of Divine Power was simply beyond the reach of these demigod-level soldiers. They had no ability to resist it.
Soon, one by one, the demigods began to fall from the sky like mosquitoes with their wings torn off, their bodies collapsing under the weight of the blood energy.
Though the elite gods and those above the demigod level could barely withstand the corrosive effects of the blood aura, the sheer drain of their strength caused their faces to pale in dread.
At this rate, in less than a minute, they would lose all their combat power.
And this was only the blood aura that Fay had released. This aura was akin to the life force of a living being, but as an Ancient Behemoth, Fay's aura was far too powerful. It was strong enough to affect the very fabric of space and could even serve as a formidable weapon.
"Roar!!"
Suddenly, Fay let out a deafening roar. The sea of blood above him seemed to come alive, and a humanoid creature emerged from its depths. This creature had no flesh, only pale, desiccated bones with patches of tattered flesh hanging from them, resembling an undead being.
Then, more and more undead figures began to emerge from the sea of blood. These were all beings that Fay had slain during his reign.
Summoned by the intense concentration of blood energy, they were forcibly brought back to life, now serving as Fay's minions and slaves.
As soon as these undead figures emerged, they rushed toward the surrounding hell soldiers, who were already struggling to hold their ground. Even the Eight Great Lords and other high-ranking divine authorities were embroiled in a desperate battle, with the constant threat of being overwhelmed and consumed.
Fay paid no attention to these ants. Had the Legion of Hell not dared to provoke him, he wouldn't have even spared them a glance.
His ingrained arrogance, coupled with his immense power, made him look down on everyone but beings of the same rank. To him, all others were nothing but lowly ants, not worth considering.
His gaze shifted downward to the Plaza of Glory. Beneath the sculpture, Sterl's soul had not yet emerged from the core. Right now, he resembled a statue, unable to move.
All Fay needed to do was destroy this Profane one's physical form. Once that was done, Sterl's soul wouldn't be able to escape for some time. Then, there would be plenty of ways to annihilate him.
But just then, a blood-soaked figure appeared, standing in front of Sterl, unmistakably the cursed Kun, his body writhing with the spirits of the dead.
Seeing Kun, Fay's face revealed a hint of surprise. This ant, having withstood his attack, had not died immediately. That was, in a strange way, something worth being proud of.
"You, not bad."
Fay nodded at Kun, acknowledging his strength. Then, he raised his hand, and a surge of blood energy poured into it, transforming into a sharp spike aimed directly at Kun's head.
Boom!
The blood energy spread, and the shattered spike broke into countless tiny blood-tipped needles, stabbing Kun's body and turning him into a human pincushion.
Kun knelt on one knee, blood pouring from his body, staining the Plaza of Glory beneath him with a deep crimson hue. Struggling, he lifted his head to gaze at Fay's massive, imposing form. His body trembled, but his eyes remained fiercely determined.
He had lost. The difference in absolute strength was undeniable. He had exhausted every means at his disposal, yet he was defeated so thoroughly. The last time he suffered such a crushing defeat was at Sterl's hands.
"You, not bad. To be able to block my attack twice is enough for me to remember your name."
Fay set aside his earlier contempt, and although anger still simmered in him, Kun's tenacity had taken him by surprise.
Hearing this, Kun grinned, showing his bloodstained teeth.
"If you want to pass, you'll have to kill me first."
Though he lacked the strength to even stand, he refused to fall. He was the final shield, and unless he died in battle, he would remain standing.
Yet, death didn't come for him. Fay didn't strike again. Instead, he stared at Kun with a somber expression.
No, more precisely, he was looking at something behind him.
"Master… I did my best."
Kun smiled, his task now complete. His breath faltered, and his once proud head lowered.
Sterl, with a blank expression, watched Kun. He flicked his fingers, and a pure sphere of soul power infused into Kun's body, stabilizing the life force that was slowly fading away.
Sterl then raised his head and turned his gaze toward the massive being above them, his expression ever calm.
Sensing danger earlier, he had immediately exited the core space, only to be unexpectedly interrupted midway. Though the interference lasted only a brief moment, the external time flow was four times faster than inside the core. For a being of Divine Power, even a brief moment was significant.
His senses expanded, and the surrounding scene reflected in his mind. He saw the countless casualties within the Legion of Hell, and a faint smile began to curve his indifferent face.

The sight of that eerie smile on Sterl's face sent a jolt through Fay's heart, an inexplicable sense of foreboding rising within him.
But he was the God of Disaster, the God of Brutality and Slaughter, an ancient behemoth, Fay! Fear was his hallmark; there was no reason to be wary of this insignificant human!
"Profane one, you will pay the price!"
Fay's singular, bloodshot eye locked onto Sterl as the sea of blood behind him roared in fury!
