Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven-Chapter 297: The King Awakens
Ved opened his eyes and found himself in his room. He had no idea when or how he got here but figured somebody must’ve found him.
His first thought was wondering if Naledi was alright then he figured she probably was, besides he was under no condition to help her.
Although he was awake, he didn’t even have the strength to move. He was still sleepy, his eyes could barely remain open.
" A..ve..ry." he whispered slowly. Avery appeared from the corner of his room.
" What happened? Tell me everything."
Avery looked conflicted, " My lord I think it’s best you rest for now." He tried to stand up but barely rose a few centimetres.
Avery sighed, " You suffered spiritual damage my lord, we’re currently trying to find elixirs, you’ll be back in full strength soon, so please be patient."
She bowed, he sighed. " I’m afraid time is not something we have." She looked confused.
" What do you mean my lord?" She asked him. He didn’t respond, his focus was on the notification he saw when he woke up.
(Warning: The Herald of Blood is about to descend. The Crimson Order have taken actions and you are their main targets.)
He was confused on what the crimson order wanted with him. " Your blood, they want your blood. The blood children cannot stay for long in this realm.
However if they were summoned through a blood sacrifice they could stay for longer even without a blood moon.
Your blood is especially precious, with it, not only can they stay for long they would grow stronger and possibly be able to use your abilities.) 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
’ What is so special about my lord anyways?’ he asked, Manas was quiet for a moment then replied with a sigh. " I’m afraid I can’t answer that."
He didn’t persist, he knew she won’t change her mind, she never does.
’ What happens if they don’t get my blood then?’
" Nothing, they’ll still descend and cause chaos but they just won’t be as strong, unless they get Naledi’s blood of course."
’ Oh I see, wait what?’ he tried to stand up.
" Please rest my lord." Avery urged him. He sighed, he felt really useless in his current state.
" Avery, I need you to send a message to Naledi for me, however I need it done discreetly."
Avery nodded, " It will be done my lord." He gave her the message and she left. Left alone he decided to check his status.

He had been unconscious for two whole years and his points were basically stagnant which was an issue.
Because it appeared the world limit will grow sooner than he had expected. To be fair he really thought he had time and prey was really scarce due to the Herald of Plagues killing most of life on earth.
Fortunately the fertility pill was coming along, Evergreen and the others were really close to creating it.

Avery stood in the teleportation formation ready to go to Ice Lotus City. The trip would require her to go through three teleportations.
She hated teleportation but the message was too important. If it fell on the wrong hands a lot of things could go south.
With both her lord and the lady out of commission, they were in a very vulnerable state.
She teleported out of the minor world and appeared in a city near the shores of what was formerly known as Durban.
New Ice Lotus City was further north, close to the country formerly known as Nigeria. Of course most countries were gone now.
Even those who remained had new borders and new leadership. Ice Lotus City was the capital of the entirety of Africa.
Even semi independent countries like Egypt ruled by the couple Set and Ahmanet still fell under Naledi’s domain.
Unlike Ved, she didn’t really care though, it was they who chose to subordinates themselves to her.
In Avery’s eyes they were taking advantage of her. They were self governing and paid no taxes to her.
However she was very protective of that she considered hers and they knew that, however she couldn’t tell her lady how to rule her domain.
Fortunately Aira was there and after a little chat she agreed with Avery. Those two had actually formed a unique friendship.
Since both of them technically ruled their kingdoms since the king and queen were mostly hands off, they ended up as kindred spirits.
Avery thought she was better off though, at least her king showed some interest no matter how little.
Lost in her thoughts she arrived on the third and last teleportation formation. This one would take her straight to New Ice Lotus City.
She took a deep breath and stepped into the formation. ’ I really hate this.’ she thought bitterly.
Teleportation made her nauseous. " My lady, are you okay?" The attendant asked with a soft smile.
She smiled back and nodded. " Start the teleportation." The attendant nodded, as the secretary of the king of beasts she didn’t have to pay a fee.
The teleportation formations were owned by Queen Naledi and everybody knew she and the king of beasts were an item.
What she didn’t see was a figure hidden in the shadows. The person in the shadows made a phone call the moment she stepped on the formation.
Then she disappeared and that person also left. The attendant suddenly wobbled like she was drunk.
" What..am I doing here?" She looked confused. " Samantha?" She heard a voice behind her.
She turned and saw her friend, " I thought this was your day off." Her friend said. Samantha was still confused.
" So did I." She whispered.

Avery could feel herself traveling through the spatial layers. It felt instantaneous yet very long.
It was a disorienting feeling. Most thought being stronger made it better but it was actually the opposite, it made it worse.
Because of her strength she could feel herself moving through the spatial layers unlike somebody who is weaker.
Somebody without intent wouldn’t be able to unless they had space affinity. To them everything would feel instantaneous.
Suddenly she felt like she crashed on a hard wall. The next thing she found herself rolling on the ground breaking through dozens of trees.
She stood up and took a stance, she knew immediately somebody had interfered and pulled her out of the spatial layer.
That would require a very high understanding of either space or formations and only a few people had that power in this world.
" Quite intelligent, just as number two said." She heard a voice of a woman. Then suddenly found herself surrounded by a large number of people clad in black robes.
She knew immediately who they were. " I guess you’ve been expecting me." She laughed softly.
Then stood up and stretched her body. " Good, I’ve been held up with paper work for a long time, so you’ll have to forgive me if I break a few bones, I’m quite rusty."
