Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven-Chapter 309: Ksanti
Somewhere in the world, two women watched the blood moon with blank expressions.
" Things are progressing much faster than my calculations." One of them whispered which seemed to surprise the other.
" How is that possible my lady?" The other woman asked. The one who seemed to be the leader shook her head with a wryly smile.
" Because he is about to awaken, so will his children, we should speed up things as well." She replied.
The other woman grew worried, " Is that a good idea my lady? They are still young, they’re not ready."
The woman who is the leader giggled, " Do not worry my old friend, those children will manage, after all, they are of the origin.
For now, I need you to deliver a message for me."
----------------------------------------------------------
When the blood moon appeared both Cat and the monk felt a suppressive force press on their shoulders.
A blood red aura appeared around Vermilion and he started laughing like a maniac. The aura mixed with his flames.
His wings turned blood red and his phoenix flames too. The phoenix mask over his head disappeared.
His handsome face appeared with a cruel grin, his red eyes had turned a shade deeper.
Through his smile they saw two sharp fangs, he spread out his arms as if welcoming them.
" Witness a new era in humanity, a better era of a better race, more evolved than any human before us.
With this we will rule all races, they will kneel before us. I would ask you to join me in my glory but frankly, I do not like you."
He flapped his wings and an iron scent of blood assaulted their noses, even those standing outside the barrier.
His body turned into a blur and appeared Infront of Cat. Their eyes met," Do not move."
Vermilion ordered,Cat felt her mind refusing to listen to her. Unfortunately for Vermilion he underestimated her second phase.
Her body didn’t need mental control to move, it could respond to danger on it own. His nails turned into sharp black claws and he stabbed them at her heart.
Her body moved gracefully, twisting as if it did not have bones and dodged his claws, he kicked her.
This time she failed to react to his speed, even with it automatic response her body couldn’t keep up.
His speed had grown to a level she had only ever seen on one person, Naledi. That terrified her.
His foot connected with her ribs and punctured her lungs. She threw up blood and flew like a white steak.
She hit the barrier so hard it cracked, those holding it felt a metallic taste in their mouths. She threw up more blood.
He appeared Infront of her like a shadow, moving so fast even she found it hard to follow his movements.
Her body turned to mist and appeared at the edge of the shattered island. All of her wounds had disappeared.
However this had expended even more alcohol out of her system reducing the time she could keep her second phase active by a large margin.
She knew without the second phase she will die. He turned and looked at her then attacked again.
She teleported as mist one more time but when she reappeared he was already there, he wasn’t teleporting but could still keep up with her.
She was certain now, he could match Naledi in terms of speed. His claws cut straight for her neck. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Space itself bent and cracked around them, his speed was dangerously close to that of light.
Normally only manifestation realms could achieve this level of speed, a lot of people thought the difference between the two realms was too huge but that not true.
They were considered on the same level in terms of existential level, the same as rank 3 and rank four.
The gap was not insurmountable, especially to people like them. The only reason manifestion realm were stronger.
Was because they had complete and manifested images. Cat thought about using hers but realised that would be foolish.
Images placed a strain on mental strength with every second they’re kept active, if she fails to defeat him even then.
She will be too mentally exhausted to even fight back. " Ksanti." The monks voice sounded like a horn.
He used the pure of patience, the most difficult pure of the six. The hand of the monk holding a clock moved forward.
Ding, the sound of a bell chime echoed, time stopped, freezing even the movement of air itself.
A domain stretching to the edge of his soul sense appeared and within it all time stopped moving.
However those who were powerful like Vermilion or Cat could break free of the time stop.
The monk knew he couldn’t hold Vermilion for long, barely a split second even. He used that opportunity and cut Vermilion’s head off.
The handsome heard of red hair remained on the neck. The monk grabbed Cat and flew away.
Time started moving a split second later, keeping people with powerful souls such as Cat and Vermilion, even Cat’s friends took a huge strain on him.
The power of Ksanti highly relied on the strength of his soul compared to that of those he was bounding with time.
Of course even if one breaks free of the true time chains they would still be slowed down significantly for a time.
He retreated kilometres away from Vermilion, his breath was ragged, sweat kept pouring down his entire body. He was almost out of essence.
With the exception of a few who could still perceive the world in frozen time like the closest friends of Cat who were monsters themselves
And other like Set and Ahmanet, the nun of the Catholic. Everybody else was confused on what had just happened.
One instant the monk and Cat were there and the next they were somewhere else with the monk looking exhausted.
Then they saw Vermilion’s head slid off his neck and fall to the ground. They celebrated thinking he was dead.
But Aira and Cathra had grim faces, Aira could sense anything within the barrier and Cathra was very sensitive to life.
Instead of Vermilion’s life force dropping it was growing stronger, to Cathra it felt like a blazing flame.
His vital essence had almost reached a level she had only ever felt on three beings. The three strongest beasts on earth.
He was approaching the physical strength of dragons and kuns which was insane to her. Aira transmitted a voice to Cat.
’ You need to kill him now, I’ll try to hold him tight.’ "Seal." She made hand signs and shook her vessel.
Six golden chains appeared from the six pillars and instantly bound Vermilion tightly.
