Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties-Chapter 269: Luck? Fate? Or Just Pure Skill?
Luna and Liora, who stood at the edge of the battlefield, could feel their emotions swung wildly like a pendulum.
One moment, Loreia was in danger. Suddenly, in the next moment, she was perfectly fine.
They had almost rushed in multiple times to save her, only to be stopped by Lucius and every single time, he was right.
Loreia had always pulled through, even when the odds looked impossible.
Luna sighed, crossing her arms. "Alright, I have to ask—how the hell does she keep surviving this?"
Liora, who was normally calm, was the same and nodded in agreement.

"I don’t understand it either. Every time it looks like she’s about to die, she turns things around. It’s almost… unnatural."
Lucius only chuckled. "It’s because Argentis is a beast of luck."
Luna blinked, turning toward him. "What?"
Lucius glanced at her and explained. "It’s quite simple, actually. When Loreia used Beast Weaponization, not only Argentis stat was her, but its luck too.
Luna raised her eyebrow, skeptical. "You’re telling me luck is the reason she’s still alive?"
Liora narrowed her eyes slightly. "That doesn’t explain everything. Beast weaponization strengthens the body, not the mind or external factors."
Lucius shurgged. "Of course it is. Wether it’s Beast Fusion or Beast Weaponization…"
Lucius pointed toward Loreia. "All of the beast’s abilities and stats are transferred to the tamer."
Liora furrowed her brows. "Including passive abilities?"
Lucius grinned. "Especially passive abilities."
Luna exhaled. She was still trying to wrap her head around it. "And Argentis’s ability is basically..."
Lucius gestured toward the battlefield. "Overwhelming luck."
Luna and Liora both turned their gazes back toward Loreia, who still stood completely unharmed while Gorevile struggled against its own failing body.
Lucius then continued. "You can see the effect right in front of you."
He held up a hand, listing them off.
"First, the Chimawren’s malfunctions when attacking her in the sky—something that had never happened before."
"And now? Gorevile poisoning itself—despite the fact that it has always been careful with its own venom."
Luna let out a low whistle. "That’s... ridiculously unfair."
Liora nodded. "So it’s not just battle instincts or power. It’s the probability of events bending in her favor."
Lucius grinned, folding her arms. "Exactly. Every time she should have been in real danger, something completely unexpected happened to turn the situation around."
Luna snorted, shaking her head. "So, what, does that mean she could dodge a fatal attack just because ’luck’ decides she shouldn’t die?"
Lucius chuckled. "Possibly. If she needed it, probability itself would twist to make sure she survives."
Liora exhaled, watching the fight closely. "It’s like reality is tilting just enough to keep her alive."
Lucius nodded. "That’s why, even though she seems reckless, she’s not."
He gestured toward Loreia, who stood confidently. "She doesn’t just have strength—she has certainty that the battle will go her way."
Luna leaned back, rubbing her forehead. "Damn. I thought I was confident, but that’s another level."
Liora narrowed her gaze slightly. "But luck alone isn’t everything. Even with probability shifting in her favor, she still has to make the right moves to win."
Lucius smirked. "Of course. That’s what makes it interesting and now let’s see how far her luck takes her."

Loreia looked at Vance and smirked. Every one of his opponents had either died or been injured. Only Vance was left. "Now you are the only one left."
Vance gritted his teeth. He glanced at Loreia and cursed. "Damn it... damn it all! I refuse to lose to a freak like you!"

Without any hesitation, he activated his control device, forcing a final command. "Gorevile! FUSE WITH ME!"
The injured, struggling Gorevile roared as it began to be pulled toward Vance.
"GRAAAAAAH!"
Gorevile’s body began to become particles and absorbed by Vance, resulting in his body transformation.
Vance’s body began to grow as his arms turned into massive gorilla limbs.
His body was also covered in bone armor, acting as both a shield and weapon.
From his back, Gorevile’s snaketail also appeared and it’s dripped with venom.
Vance was no longer human, as his mouth was filled with fangs and his eyes turned red in primal fury.
What remained was no longer Vance but a grotesque monster, which was a final desperate attempt to overpower Loreia
Vance glanced at Loreia and snapped. "You... you did this to me. You forced me to become this."
Loreia tilted her head with a smirk. "You did that you yourself, idiot."
Loreia twirled her spear effortlessly, smirking. "You did that to yourself, idiot."
Vance clenched his massive hands and roared. "I’LL MAKE SURE YOU DIE FOR THIS!"
Loreia raised her eyebrow and smirked. "Then come and try, if you can."
Vance frowned and without hesitation, he shifted his muscle toward his legs to launch himself forward with terrifying speed.
BOOM!
In an instant, he closed the gap between them, leaping high into the air.
While still mid-air, he redirected his muscle mass toward his arms, bulking them up.
He also reshaped his bone armor into a massive, jagged bone sword and roared. "DIE!"
Vance was aiming for an overhead strike, but Loreia didn’t fear it. Instead, she smirked.
The moment Vance’s bone sword came crashing down, she jumped forward. "Let’s dance, shall we?"
CLANG!
Their weapons collided in the air, resulting in a shockwave.
Vance’s brute force also began to overpower her, pushing her back mid-air.
Vance grinned twistedly as he saw her faltering. "You can’t stop me!"
Loreia could feel the pressure, but she wasn’t panicking at all. In fact, she was even grinning. "Who said I was trying to stop you?"
Before Vance could understand her words, Loreais suddenly weakened her power, letting the bone sword push down.
Vance was confused for a second before realizing that it was his mistake.
Loreia had succeeded in shifting her force to redirect the bone sword to the left.
Vance’s stirke went off course, disrupting his balance and in that exact moment, Loreai flipped midair.
With a twist of her body, Loreia delivered a strong kick straight to Vance’s back, sending him below. "Get back down."
BOOM!
Vance crashed into the ground, creating a crater upon impact.
Loreia landed smoothly a few meters away, twirling her spear effortlessly. "You hit hard. But you fall even harder."
