Fiona's eyes snapped open.

The soft silver glow of her room greeted her, and she sat up with a groan.

Her body felt sore, but not in the usual way.

Her mind was foggy but packed with memories.

Battle after battle. Death after death.

Sitting across the room, waiting like they'd been there the whole time.

Loreia, Luna, and Liora.

Loreia was lounging in a corner chair, arms draped behind her head.

Luna leaned against the far wall, arms crossed.

Liora sat nearest the bed, legs crossed, silent and still.

Loreia grinned the moment Fiona groaned.

"Well well, look who finally came back from the stage," she said with a teasing lilt.

"Did you have a good sleep, Divine Streamer?"

Fiona blinked once, wiped her eyes, and then frowned sharply.

"Fuck, no," she muttered. "That was not a good sleep at all."

Loreia snorted. "Ah. That's how you know it worked."

Fiona rubbed her forehead, sighing.

"At first, the enemies were easy. Just random beasts, basic movement patterns."

"Then it kept ramping up. Smarter attacks. Faster movement. Unreadable combos. I died."

Luna raised a brow. "Once?"

Fiona gave her a look. "Multiple times."

Liora nodded slightly. "It's expected."

Fiona groaned and threw her pillow across the bed.

"Each time I respawned, I had to re-adapt. They changed. They learned."

"The system... it wasn't just testing me. It was evolving through me."

Loreia smirked, stretching.

"Of course. That's the point. Virtual death doesn't mean failure here."

"It means you're being reforged."

Fiona looked at her, exhausted.

"Reforged physically and mentally, huh?"

Loreia tapped her temple.

"Exactly. You're a Luxoria now."

"You're not supposed to come out of a trial feeling clean."

"You're supposed to come out mean."

Fiona leaned forward, breathing in deep. "Well, I'm definitely meaner now."

Luna finally pushed off the wall, walking forward. "And stronger."

Liora then spoke. "You held up better than expected."

Fiona stared. "That almost sounded like a compliment."

Liora didn't respond. But Loreia chuckled.

"It was one. That's as high as her praise goes."

Fiona cracked a grin despite herself. "I'll take it."

Luna nodded, now standing next to the bed.

"You passed the first phase. More will come."

"But now you're synced. With Fionyx. With us. With Luxoria."

Fiona exhaled slowly. "Good."

She looked at all three of them, then grinned.

"Because I've got a stream idea that'll melt the screen."

Luna raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh?"

Loreia leaned forward, suddenly much more attentive.

"What kind of idea are we talking?"

Fiona held up a finger, smirking. "Alright, picture this—"

She lowered her voice, speaking just loud enough for the three of them to hear.

As she laid it out, Luna's head tilted slightly, her expression sharpening.

Loreia's grin grew steadily more impressed.

Even Liora glanced toward Fiona with the faintest flicker of curiosity.

By the time Fiona finished, she leaned back on her elbows, satisfied.

Loreia whistled. "That's... intense."

Luna nodded, her voice cooler but clearly impressed.

"Risky. But undeniably original."

Fiona smirked.

"Exactly. And now that I've got this new power?"

"The synced suit, Fionyx in divine form, full access to Broadcast Domain?"

She clenched her fist. "I can pull it off."

Liora, quiet as ever, finally spoke.

"If you fail, they'll come for you first."

Fiona met her eyes without blinking.

"Then I'll make sure there's nothing left for them to come back to."

Luna smiled. "Let us know when it goes live."

---

Fiona stood atop a crumbled rooftop as red light flickered across the scorched city ruins below.

Wind swept through broken steel frames and shattered glass.

This wasn't a safe zone, not even close.

But it was perfect.

Her drones flew up into the air and floated in place.

Small glowing discs ready to stream.

Her new streamer suit glowed faintly, with shiny gloves that could project weapons.

Light boots made for flying and a gold-trimmed visor covering her eyes.

She inhaled once.

Then smiled.

"Alright," she whispered. "Showtime."

With a flick of her wrist, she started her livestream.

Fiona waved casually into the drone-cam as the stream connected.

"Hellooo, chat," she said, her voice light, teasing.

"Long time no see, huh?"

Fiona twirled once on her heel, letting the camera catch every angle of her new look.

"Oh, you like this?" she said, motioning to her gear.

"Yeah, full upgrades. New system. Custom-fit for my new status."

The drone panned behind her, revealing the sprawling wreckage of the ruined city.

"But we're not here just to model," Fiona continued, turning serious.

"You're probably wondering—where am I?"

She pointed down over the balcony.

"This, my dear chat, is one of Aurelius's old research zones."

"Abandoned after one of their beasts got too wild."

"A perfect place for a little trial run, wouldn't you say?"

---

Fiona gave them a half-laugh, half-smirk. "Aw, I missed you all."

She turned, visor locking onto movement in the distant rubble.

The system pinged three inbound signatures—hostile. Big ones.

"But don't worry. I'm not the same Fiona you saw last time."

She raised both arms. Her gauntlets shifted, unfolding sleek projection barrels.

"Fionyx," she called out.

A surge of light responded as her beast descended behind her.

"I've changed."

Her voice lowered, steady and confident.

"And tonight… you'll see the new me."

She stepped off the ledge—and fell.

The screen flickered with light.

Fiona's voice echoed through the feed.

"Ladies, gentlemen, and chaos-lovers everywhere—this isn't a broadcast."

The camera caught her mid-air, armor reshaping around her, visor blazing.

"This is a declaration of war."
