To her surprise, Little Ye and Youyou were already asleep. The two little ones were so energetic and hated afternoon naps that as soon as it got dark, they couldn’t fight off their drowsiness any longer and had gone to bed after washing up.

They had Dust Cleaning Talismans at home, but the cubs were still little and needed to develop good habits of diligence and cleanliness first.

"Ji Liang, I missed you," she said, throwing herself into his arms and nuzzling him with a smile. "Are the cubs being a handful?"

"As mischievous as Little Shushu," Ji Liang said, holding her. "How was your day by the lake?"

Si Shuo leaned against him, telling him about the surprising things that had happened. When she got to the part about Xiao Cheng and Xiao Zhao, she even sounded like she was grinding her teeth.
