Suishen Ranxing didn't disappoint her in the slightest and immediately turned into a beam of starfire, charging toward her. There was no need for words between them; his palm strike was all the communication they needed. There was no need to reminisce over old feelings, nor to beg for forgiveness or understanding. There was only heartlessness.

Fortunately, Suishen Yao and her brother didn't see it with their own eyes, or their entire worldview would shatter and they would hate their father for the rest of their lives. Suishen Ranxing was the one who had acted faster and more heartless of the two. Suishen Xiyue had already had no hope of them reconciling, but seeing her husband reach a conclusion before she internalized it made her as angry as she was amused.
