Beastmaster of the Ages-Chapter 4152 - Line Ending
Somewhere out in deep space, a group of astralships remained unmoving. before them were two glowing cosmic giants, huddled closely together and speaking in hushed voices. The man was moon-white in color and looked dreamily appealing. His body was a like work of art. The woman was clad in beautiful phoenix robes and looked flaming hot and warm, mature yet cold. Her long dress stretched ten thousand meters, covering her gigantic but shapely figure. These were Lord Yue and Empress Xia respectively.
"Feng Linxue isn't normally that wary of me, yet when Li Tianming showed up, it happened. I've heard that he is abnormally well informed. Perhaps he was the one who was pulling strings behind the scenes this time around," Lord Yue said, head lowered and brows furrowed. The killing intent in his eyes shone through intensely.
"He even destroyed your army of ten million," Empress Xia said.
"There was no choice. The ghoul army he summoned is completely beyond our understanding."
After a short pause, Empress Xia said, "Forget it. We just happened to run into a unique enemy. You only suffered a loss because you didn't understand him well enough. I can't blame you for this."
"That's good..." Lord Yue breathed a sigh of relief. He and Empress Xia looked deeply into each other's eyes. "So, what's the move you've decided on?"
"With Li Tianming causing trouble and the Tian Jiu Cult competing against us, it would be really hard for me to take over any world. Our homeworld can no longer hold on. There are still billions of people living there, so we have to take over a place to be our new home. We have no choice," Empress Xia said with a sigh.
"That's true. You're not like the cult. They only have an army of ninety million, but you have all the subjects of Grand Xia with you, including cosmic gods and astral gods..." The look in his eyes turned resolute. "No matter what, you have my support."
"After I go back, I will begin to give the Xiavoid Stareye a test run. I already let the Eightpart Pantheons know about this. They are mobilizing their forces."
"That soon..." Lord Yue came to understand that this was her backup plan all along in case he failed.
"We have no time. The army from the Ten Desolate Starforges was slated to come to our aid. We didn't expect them to be trapped," Empress Xia said.
Lord Yue pondered for a while and looked into her eyes. "Xia, can you tell me what the Eightpart Pantheons told you?"
She looked in his eye and answered, "First, they will come and completely transform Grand Xia Voidback into a stable stareye for the Heavenly Dao. Second, they will take the worldcores of all six maniverse-class worlds of the kunlan primalwingers so that they have ultimate control of those worlds. Third, they'll wipe out the Tian Jiu Cult, sparing nobody."
"I understand that those are their objectives. What I want to know is what benefits they offer."
"The right to live in three or four maniverse-class worlds. The Eightpart Pantheons have more territories and worlds than they need, so all they want is control over the Primordial Sands. They'll leave us alone otherwise."
"Why is it three or four?"
"It was three initially, but this time around, I wish to wipe out the primalwingers of Grand Feng," Empress Xia said, glaring at him coldly.
Lord Yue shook. The moment the Eightpart Pantheons arrived, Grand Yue, Grand Feng and Grand Meng would submit. However, it seemed like Grand Feng might have lost the chance to even surrender.
"What? Do you find it to be a shame? Grand Xia has so many subjects that we need four nova-source worlds to house them." Empress Xia raised her brows at him.
Lord Yue's initial plan was to strike a balance between Grand Xia and the kunlan primalwingers, each having three of the six maniverse-class worlds in the Primordial Sands. He and Empress Xia would then be leaders of their respective races, striking a balance and autonomous rule under the banner of the Eightpart Pantheons. However, Empress Xia wanted four out of two. Nova-source worlds were incredible legacies that could be passed down across generations. In time, the difference would make Grand Xia far more prosperous than the primalwingers, and Lord Yue had no way of predicting the downstream effects. She was planning to wipe out an extra world, which meant killing off billions. Grand Jiang, Grand Chen and Grand Lin had historically been against Lord Yue, so he didn't mind, and he didn't really care about Grand Feng either, though he was worried about the issue of balance.
"What are you thinking of? We'll be the dogs of the Eightpart Pantheons anyway. Do you still care which one of our kinds ends up stronger?" she said with a snide smile.
"If only the Primordial Sands could properly be isolated from the rest of the world forever," Lord Yue said.
"Whether it's the Ancient Flameyellow Ruins or the Xiavoid Stareye, something else will come along to pop this fragile bubble. Who knows? Maybe the Heavenly Dao will manage to connect over here eventually. Accept it. The Eightpart Pantheons are the absolute rulers of the Upper Star Ruin." Her world was going to end, so she had more justification than anyone else to lead an outside force in to stop it.
"Admit it! The Eightpart Pantheons are the ultimate races in our universe. It's not a shame to bow down to them. Both Grand Xia and the kunlan primalwingers have too many flaws to truly be their match."
"Is that so..." Lord Yue sighed. "Your Grand Xia used to rule the world with the Flameyellow. They saw you as siblings that descended from the same source and cared for you. The Eightpart Pantheons used to be their servants, slaves..."
"Enough of that," Empress Xia said with a glare. "The people who dive too deep into the glory of the past will never be able to see the present clearly. Flameyellow is gone. It is nothing but a rotting husk. Grand Xia had failed to join the right side of history back then. That is proof that we're not fit to be the rulers of the universe."
"What about Li Tianming?"
"He's nothing but a spark among dying embers. His threat of revival seems scary until he gets blown out by a single puff." She raised her skirt in a curtsey. "I wish to return to Grand Xian to welcome the Eightpart Pantheons. Will you come with me?"
"I will," Lord Yue said with a nod.
Empress Xia smiled and stretched out her hand.
"What is it?" Lord Yue asked, surprised.
"Hold my hand. Since we have already been exposed, there's no need to hide it anymore. We are a match made in heaven. The Eightpart Pantheons will make us stewards of their territories here. Only then will our people achieve lasting peace."
"Xia..." Lord Yue gripped her hand tightly. This was a relationship he had won by sacrificing more than half of the kunlan primalwingers. However, he reasoned that those that survived would eventually forget about the sacrificed and remember the start of this beautiful union.
"Yue Xiao, history will remember our deeds well. We will be the ones who bring lasting peace to the Primordial Sands. Don't you think this ends up well? Both for our nations and our relationship."
"I hope we will get to see that day as soon as possible."
"Soon. It won't be long."
