Becoming Secret Nanny for Possessive CEO-Chapter 132: Nightmare
As all her memories returned, she nearly collapsed to the floor, only to be caught by her lover. She lost consciousness due to the shortness of breath, and the trauma took a toll on her mind.
While Callum panicked, seeing his fiancée suddenly faint before him, he immediately carried her body and ran into their second-floor bedroom. He slowly laid her curvy body on the bed, wiping the sweat that continued to flow down her body with a towel.
"Edith... what’s wrong with you really?" Callum tried to hold back his tears seeing his fiancée’s mental state suddenly unstable.
Several minutes passed as he sat on the edge of the bed, waiting. Finally, he felt his fiancée’s left hand move, causing his head to lift. Seeing those beautiful eyes slowly open brought a small sense of relief.
"Edith, what’s wrong with you?"
Edith remained silent, holding her fiancé’s hand tremblingly. For a moment, she looked around the room nervously, tears welling in her eyes.
"I’m scared."
"I’m here." Callum gently stroked his lover’s head. "I need you to calm down now. You were acting strange earlier and then suddenly fainted."
"I remember everything." Edith looked at her fiancé with a pale face. "I know who really killed us."
Callum shook his head, hugging his fiancée’s sweaty body tightly. "You can tell me everything once you’re mentally prepared. I don’t want you to faint again just because of those bad memories." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Edith rested her head on her lover’s shoulder. Wrapping her arms around his broad back, she trembled. "If I hadn’t met you in the first place, you wouldn’t have been involved in the accident."
"What do you mean, Edith? Don’t talk nonsense!"
"The killer is Yvette."
Callum’s eyes widened and his mouth dropped open at the unexpected revelation. He’d always accused his father of being the mastermind behind the accident, but Yvette was actually the culprit. But why did Cliff keep accusing his own father of being the mastermind? That was what confused him even more.
"Yvette is the mastermind?"
"Before the accident, I met with her. She wanted to meet me because she wanted to threaten me. She actually forbade me from marrying you because she loves you."
"What nonsense is that! Actually, she and I hardly ever communicate."
"That’s why I didn’t let her love you because I was the only one who had the right to love you. But when I ignored her, she told me I should just die." The longer she cried, the louder it became, breaking Callum’s heart even more.
"I don’t care." His lips pressed deeply against his fiancée’s forehead. "I only love you."
"Callum..."
"The accident we had wasn’t your fault. It was all due to the greed of a woman who was too obsessed with me. In fact, I think she’s even scarier than Arabella was back then."
"I really don’t want you to get into any more danger. If this continues, you and the kids will—"
"I really don’t care. All I care about is you."
In an instant, her cheeks turned red when she heard her fiancé’s sweet talk.
Callum smiled sweetly, wiping away the tears that were streaming down his fiancée’s cheeks. "Now that you remember everything, all we have to do is find evidence that proves Yvette is the culprit. Once we catch her, you won’t have to be afraid anymore."
Edith nodded nervously. "Starting tomorrow, every time I see her, I’ll pretend I don’t remember anything. This is the only way that can protect me."
"But, is it okay if you meet her alone? She’s actually a very dangerous woman. I’m worried you’ll be in even more danger if you keep in touch with her."
"She’ll just suspect me if I suddenly don’t want to see her." Edith broke the hug for a moment and then took her fiancé’s hands. "Even though I’m still afraid, I have to be brave enough to face him. If I become more afraid, we won’t be able to live happily."
Callum slowly laid them down on the bed, then embraced his fiancée’s curvy body lovingly. "I like your principles. This way, I won’t worry so much."
Edith kissed her fiancé’s cheek happily. "Now I can sleep thanks to you keeping me company."
"By the way, don’t you need to change your clothes? You were sweating profusely from the fear."
Hearing her fiancé’s insulting words made her frown. "So, I smell bad now?"
"No. I mean–"
"Okay, I’ll change my clothes so you can hug me comfortably!"
Callum deliberately tightened his embrace and kissed her deeply on her red lips. Naturally, Edith was instantly captivated by this sweet kiss, her heart blossoming.
"I won’t be offended anymore. As usual, you always seduce me with kisses."
Callum smiled a mischievous smile, protruding his sexy lips again. "Actually, I still haven’t had enough of kissing you."
Edith rolled her eyes, holding back laughter. "Let’s continue tomorrow. I want to rest for now."
"Well, actually I would rather you get enough rest than not be able to sleep because of those bad memories."
"One by one, the puzzles are finally being solved. Yvette is the mastermind, now it’s up to everyone who’s been working with her."
"Edith, if you talk about that again, I’ll kiss you all night long!"

The next day, Callum couldn’t take his family on their holiday because James and Arabella were bothering him again. This time, their arrival brought a sense of tension, making the couple tense.
Callum was still curious about what was happening to this couple. Previously, they had been very reluctant to communicate with each other. When Edith tried to set them up, problems also befell them.
"By the way, are you two okay?" Edith looked at her two guests worriedly.
Arabella nodded. "James and I are unharmed."
Callum folded his arms and narrowed his eyes. "James, what exactly happened to you guys?"
"Callum, it seems like someone was following us secretly while we were chatting in the city park."
"Can you guess who the perpetrator is?"
"My guess is Cliff," Arabella said confidently.
