Becoming Secret Nanny for Possessive CEO-Chapter 149: Business Discussion
Yvette smiled brightly as she watched Callum swing his golf club with a flourish. Mark’s question actually offended her, as it wasn’t that she didn’t want to be with Callum. However, Callum’s constant distancing from her angered her. All this time, she could only enjoy the beautiful scenery from afar whenever Callum was with Edith. She was fed up with playing the role of a third party to the couple.
"Mark, wasn’t the purpose of today’s meeting because you were curious about King’s Hotel?" Callum deliberately changed the subject so that Yvette wouldn’t take things any further.
Mark nodded, folding his arms. "Right. You really are a professional, Callum. Even though it’s a holiday, you still maintain your professional demeanor, just like everyone says."
"Of course. If you want to discuss work, I have to be professional as the CEO of King’s Hotel." Callum looked at Yvette, who was nervously gripping her golf club. "I also want to answer your question. All this time, I only thought of Yvette as a good sister-in-law. She’s also very intelligent."
"Sorry, Callum. I don’t want to talk about anything else."
"This is for Yvette’s comfort. I don’t want her to feel uncomfortable while playing golf."
After a long round of golf on the open course, they took a break in the cafeteria. Callum sat next to Yvette, while Mark sat opposite her. Playing golf in the scorching sun was quite intense, so Callum kept wiping the sweat from his neck with a small towel.
Yvette didn’t want to miss this golden opportunity. She immediately grabbed her handkerchief and helped wipe her brother-in-law’s sweaty neck. Her overly exaggerated actions made Callum uncomfortable, worried that Mark would misunderstand.
"Wow, you’re so sweet, Yvette! I never thought you’d take the initiative to help your brother-in-law wipe off her sweat."
Yvette smiled slyly, staring intently at Callum’s handsome face. "Of course. I don’t want to see him wiping his sweat alone. Especially since his fiancé isn’t with him."
Callum clenched his right fist tightly. He slowly removed Yvette’s hand from his. "I told you before. The purpose of today’s meeting is solely to discuss the King’s Hotel. It has nothing to do with my personal life."
"I’m sorry if I overreacted, Callum." Yvette lowered her head.
Callum looked back at Mark, who was sipping his lemon juice. "I hope my presentation about the King’s Hotel was interesting to you. I’ll be waiting for your response."
Mark nodded, wiping his sweat with a towel. "Of course. After hearing your presentation while we were golfing, I was already very interested. I can’t wait to visit your hotel."
"Since there’s nothing more to talk about, I’ll take my leave. My fiancé is waiting for me at home."
When Callum wanted to get up from the chair, Yvette held his hand.
"Callum, why are you in such a rush? Weren’t you and Mark just talking?"
Callum looked at Mark with a wide smile. "I can arrange another meeting if Mark has time. Now my work here is done. I’ll return to my family."

Meanwhile, Edith was still playing with her children, roaming around the luxurious hotel, enjoying the playground. Edith laughed awkwardly, as the hotel hadn’t previously had a playground. Since Callum had twins, he’d provided a playground for his twins to play in. Edith could already guess what Callum was thinking.
Erdin and Eliana didn’t protest while playing in the playground area. They laughed happily on the slides and swings, while Edith and Renata sat on a bench, watching the children play.
Edith’s face darkened as she began to worry about her fiancé’s current situation, remembering that Yvette had invited her to meet. Even though this was a business meeting, why did they insist on forcing Callum to play golf on his day off and under these circumstances? This was what made her feel something was off.
"Edith, I’m sure Callum won’t be easily swayed by Yvette. You know his personality very well."
Edith nodded. "It’s just that I’m sad that I can’t go on a date with Callum today. Callum was so enthusiastic earlier, wanting to take me and our twins out for a walk. But, because of the strange incident I experienced yesterday and Callum’s golfing today, I feel like this is a deliberate plan by Yvette."
Renata put her arm around her boss’s shoulder with a worried look. "Edith, Patrick is still trying to help you catch the culprit. All I can do now is escort you. This is the task Callum gave me. Callum is really worried about you."
"I don’t think he needed to go this far. I just want him to stay out of Yvette’s way. If something big happens, I don’t want him dragged into even bigger trouble." Edith’s gaze fell on her little daughter, who was throwing a colorful ball to Erdin. "Eliana’s been missing Callum a lot lately, too. It’s because he’s always spoiled her."
A wide smile spread across his face. "Edith, if Callum heard what you said now, he’d love you even more."
"I hope Callum can come back soon. He’s not the type of person who likes to spend too much time with other people on holidays."
drrt...drrt
Suddenly, Edith received a text message from an unknown number. However, the sender’s name was Callum. Why was Callum contacting her from a different number?
"Edith, it’s me, Callum. I’m calling you on Mark’s phone because my battery is low. I’m still on my way to the hotel. Can you buy me some ice cream?"
Edith immediately put her cell phone into her bag.
"Renata, by the way, can I leave the kids with you?"
"Where are you going, Edith? I’ll come with you."
"No need, I’ll just go to the ice cream shop because Callum wants to eat ice cream."
Edith walked out of the hotel nervously after reading the text message. Whether it was real or a scam, she was truly afraid it wasn’t from Callum.
As she walked 500 meters from the hotel, she was suddenly dragged by someone.
