Becoming Secret Nanny for Possessive CEO-Chapter 175: Preparation for Competition
Meanwhile, Laura is also on a secret mission to save her best friend, who’s in trouble. For the first time, she invites her cousin to go shopping with her. She deliberately puts on a gloomy expression, pretending she’s facing a major problem, when in fact, her best friend is the one facing the problem because of her evil cousin.
Laura entered each boutique one by one, then tried on one of the most expensive formal dresses in each and showed it to her cousin. "How do I look?"
Ariadne folded her arms. "What’s your purpose in suddenly asking me to go shopping with you?"
"I was having an argument with my husband."
"Isn’t it natural for a husband and wife to fight?"
"But this time he was being sarcastic. He was very disappointed in me because I couldn’t properly raise my son. My son, who was always spoiled and stubborn, made my husband very disappointed in me for not being able to educate him."
"So, that’s why you guys fought?"
Laura nodded. "If things continue like this, our relationship won’t last."
"Maybe you should improve your attitude too. You shouldn’t spoil your son so much." A heavy sigh escaped her lips. "I’m not good at giving advice, but I can see that your upbringing wasn’t good. That’s why your son is so spoiled by you and immature now."
"Do I have to be stricter with my son from now on?"
"Of course. For the sake of you and your husband not getting divorced. I don’t want our family to be imperfect because of your selfishness."
Laura nodded, enthusiastically grasping her cousin’s right hand. "Thanks for the advice."
"Now that I’m done entertaining you, I want to go home now."
"By the way, I have something to tell you." Laura showed Ariadne a poster for an evening gown fashion show. "Since you’re a famous designer, why don’t you participate in this competition?"
Ariadne smiled casually at her innocent cousin. "Of course I participated. I can’t wait to show everyone my design."
"Really? So which dress of yours will you choose?"
"This dress." Ariadne pointed to a maroon dress that coincidentally resembled Edith’s, making Laura almost hiccup.
"Wow, this dress is so beautiful!"
"Will I be able to win by showing this dress later?"
"Of course. Especially seeing this beautiful dress, I’d actually like to try it on sometime."
Ariadne laughed awkwardly, patting her cousin on the shoulder. "You can try it after I win this competition."
"I will definitely support you so I can be the first to try on that beautiful dress."

Now it was Arabella and James’ turn to track down the perpetrator who spread the hoax. Arabella relied on her contacts to find out the name of the reporter who published the article on social media. Naturally, her extensive connections made it easier to track down the perpetrator who spread the hoax.
Arabella invited James to dinner at her residence to discuss their day’s findings. James saw Arabella’s well-organized report, which made him believe she was even more suited to working as a secret agent like himself.
The look in his eyes, filled with love, made Arabella’s heart race. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Because you look like a secret agent to me." James tilted his head up to face his girlfriend. "You’re even cooler when you’re on a secret mission."
"Actually, I did all this to protect Edith. Even though the family problems had just been resolved, now a new one has arisen."
"Arabella, I admit you’ve changed. You weren’t like this before."
Her right hand pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "I want to atone for the mistakes I’ve made. Seeing Edith continue to be bullied even though she’s never hurt anyone makes me angry now."
"Well then, it’s time for me to continue this secret mission after receiving your report." James took out his laptop and pointed to the reporter’s alias displayed on the screen. "We have to catch him now."
"Then, what about our dinner? I went to all the trouble of cooking for you."
James gently stroked his lover’s head. "After dinner, we’ll catch that reporter."
Arabella suddenly received a text message from her assistant. The message contained information about the reporter’s entry into a luxury hotel, making Arabella even more impatient to carry out the secret mission with her lover.
"James, after this we will go to the hotel."

Meanwhile, Edith and Callum were still playing with their children in their luxurious home. Edith maintained a forced smile in front of her children so they wouldn’t worry too much. Callum was still very worried about his fiancée’s unstable mental state due to recent major problems that had forced her to postpone her fashion show temporarily. He saw that her smile was fake, which made him sad too.
"Mom, are you okay?" Erdin asked with an innocent look.
Edith nodded. "Of course. Why are you asking so suddenly?"
"Because mommy looks sad today," said Eliana, stroking her mother’s palm.
Callum laughed awkwardly, scratching his head. "Actually, your mom isn’t sad. She’s just exhausted from preparing for this week’s competition."
Eliana widened her eyes. "What competition? Is she running?"
Edith stroked her daughter’s tiny cheek. "It’s not a run competition, it’s a fashion show. I want to show everyone the dress I designed."
"Can I see your fashion show, Mom? You must be so beautiful!" Erdin asked, winking repeatedly, making Callum start to get jealous.
"My son, why don’t you question me? Am I not attractive in your eyes?"
Erdin laughed so hard his cheeks turned red. "Dad must be jealous because I like Mom."
"In fact, I haven’t told you yet. I’ll also be attending a fashion show with your mother later."
Erdin and Eliana stared at their father with sparkling eyes. "Really?"
Callum nodded, putting his arm around his fiancée’s shoulder affectionately. "I won’t let your mother go to the fashion show alone."
"So can Eliana and I see you later?"
"Of course. Uncle James and Aunt Arabella will accompany you later."
